Overall Satisfaction with Evernote

Currently, it is being used by me for tracking and organization of information and processes. We tried to use it for the whole team but they are not ready for it. As the director, I need to have a lot of information at my finger tips. Evernote is wonderful in that I can save resources in an organized way but also tag them. Then I can just search by tags to help me find everything related to the information I need.
  • Organization
  • Tags
  • Sorting
  • Sharing
  • Checklists
  • Allowed me to store resources for free.
  • Easy way to share documents with others.
Evernote is not a great cloud drive or to-do list tool. However, Evernote allows one to organize resources in a way none of the other tools do. I can search in Evernote based on tags which is something I cannot do in a cloud drive (at least not that I know). This is important for problem-solving where I may need materials related to the subject that are categorized in another folder. Honestly, Evernote tags are amazing.
Evernote is perfect for organizing information and sharing information in a team. It does not work like a document that can be edited, but more as a resource location. I would think of it almost as a library that everyone can add to, edit to keep up to date, tag, and easily refer to. While Evernote does have a checklist function, it does not really work for sharing to-do lists that need to be tracked or that need to have due dates, etc. assigned.

Evernote Feature Ratings

Using Evernote

This rating is because it is a great tool for keeping resources and sorting and searching. However, Evernote is not strong for real-time team collaboration. It is also weak in checklists and tracking, which is something my team needs every day. Evernote is a great tool, it may just depend on the need of the team as to whether it is the best tool for the team.
