Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We use Procore for all RFI, submittals, and document management including drawings.
  • Makes sending and tracking RFIs very well
  • Procore allows fast and real-time sharing of documents and drawings. We are able to mark-up plans in the field and all subcontractors see them immediately
  • Procore tracks submittals very efficiently which has increased turnaround times on approvals
  • Procore has provided a fast way to view plans on mobile devices while in the filed and access project documents
  • The site tends to crash a lot which has been a big problem for the company at times
  • Allow those who are reviewing submittals to be able to reply to an email similar to the RFIs
  • Job Warranty management feature would be great to have
  • It would be nice to be able to search for key words on drawings so you can easily find certain items with keyword search
  • It would be nice if we could link a mark-up on a drawing to another sheet within the drawings.
  • Punch list tool is not very friendly to use and when actually walking around the job-site with an owner and architect it take s a very long time to create each item. i not sure how to improve this, but it needs help in order to speed things up.
The unlimited users has been great, we still get architects that still want everything done on their forms so we can't send documents/approvals to them through Procore however. The mobile app has been great for the field personnel and has allowed them to have clearer RFIs now that they can take a photo or a screenshot of the plans and mark-ups very easily.
  • Overall the time to get documents out has been decreased, but the screen recognition, especially with scanned images does not work all that well so we still spend quite a bit of time labeling and marking drawings. A lot of municipalities still give you set of approved drawings rather than an electronic set so this comes up a lot.
  • We have not decreased in admin so its hard to tell if we have made an ROI, but we are busier now and have not had to increase our admin staff who use Procore.
  • Gain visibility into projects
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Document job site conditions
  • Report on incidents and inspections
  • Identify job site risks
It was a fairly seamless integration, there was definitely a learning curve for some. I knocked the score down a couple because we were told Procore would integrate well with Spectrum (our financial platform) but it does not. Also the custom reports are difficult and not very good so we ended up not using them.
Procore is great for project management and field tools, RFIs, submittals, drawings etc. We do not find the financial side very appropriate for our situation. Daily logs are also well thought out, but the meeting tool is not even usable in my opinion, there should be a way to create a more traditional meeting agenda template that minutes can be taken on.

Evaluating Procore and Competitors

Yes - we replaced our daily log software
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
we needed something easy and all users could quickly adapt to. we have users who still like the old way of doings this especially when it comes to daily logs and inspections so we needed something that would not take a lot of time to implement so the usability was perfect for us.
no changes would be made

Yes - yes, there have been times procore has crashed or would not sync correctly on drive and all issues typically are resolved within 8 hours or less
During the start-up and transition period everyone with procore was a huge help at explaining how to use the product so now even our least computer savvy team members can use it.

i had questions with punch list and inspections and procore walked me through step by step and showed me the best way to do set these up to be successful.
