Overall Satisfaction with Tealium Customer Data Hub

Our primary uses for Tealium Customer Data Hub today include tagging our site with Tealium IQ & leveraging the EventStream & AudienceStream tools. The business problems these tools address are understanding how people are engaging with our website and understanding who they are so we can effectively retarget them with relevant advertising.

Pros

  • TealiumIQ makes web tagging user-friendly, with many out of the box templates that don't require coding
  • EventStream is incredibly helpful in unifying our visitor data across various devices
  • AudienceStream assists us with discovering new audiences that were previously untapped

Cons

  • It was previously a bit of a struggle to figure out the correct JavaScript code to track video views, page scrolls, etc. and I've been hoping for a better solution from Tealium Customer Data Hub. Recently they provided a great new feature called iQ Events that helps us track these events without writing code

  • We are still putting the numbers together, but the badging from EventStream has greatly optimized our paid media spend because we can now focus more on prospective customers and less on employees & current customers
Tealium Customer Data Hub provides us with excellent customer support for the variety of tools that we use. They are quick to respond and incredibly knowledgeable. If a solution can't be reached via email they are always more than willing to get on a phone call/screenshare to ensure our needs are met.
Our company chose to use a third-party cookie consent option, & Tealium Customer Data Hub was greatly instrumental in the deployment of this solution. Tealium Customer Data Hub iQ allows us to choose which tags we want to turn on/off when visitors opt in or out of tracking. We also leverage EventStream to enrich the data we collect so that we can build out much more customized visitor profiles. Additionally we have Tealium Customer Data Hub listen for A/B testing that we're running and then send data into Google Analytics so that we can monitor which experience was displayed and how it performed.
Tealium Customer Data Hub is the most effective solution I've used so far in terms of collecting and managing data. We chose this tool because it has a reputation of being the best in the industry. We had also heard that Tealium has a support team second to none - which is absolutely true.

Tealium Customer Data Hub is very well suited for nearly all of our web tagging needs. They have a vast library of vendor templates that can be installed with just a few clicks. But there are just a couple of tags that need to fire on page before anything else loads, so in these rare circumstances we need to hardcode them to our site.
