Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We use WatchGuard Firewalls to add [a] layer of protection to the Internet-facing and private bandwidth edges of our own internal, data center (for hosting services), and client networks.
- Great combination of easy to configure but still maintaining a lot of in-depth features and control available if desired
- WatchGuard Cloud [is ]included on basic and total security packages to provide [a] valuable look into [an] activity that passes through the firewall. (A lot of other platforms such as Meraki you need to simply use Syslog and third-party tools to get insights and look for issues that need remediation)
- Cohesive integration with other products such as AuthPoint for MFA adds value you can't get from traditional RADIUS only integrations of other platforms.
- Publicly published roadmaps of upcoming innovations and features.
- Cost per Mbit scanned using TRUE throughput numbers are a great value.
- Included logging and reporting through WatchGuard Cloud saves on costs of additional products.
This is not applicable as we ARE a network security partner of WatchGuard. We do receive support from local WatchGuard channel team if requested.
WatchGuard Cloud included in Basic and Total Security Suite is a great tool for getting insights into the data processed by the firewall. For example, you can block connections to TOR network via Application Control. With WatchGuard Cloud, you can drill down and find the source of that activity to investigate and/or remediate. The DNSWatch included in [the] Total Security Suite can save on the cost of DNS filtering services.
We found WatchGuard [Network Security] has a great combination of deep down controls of traffic when desired but [is] still easy to configure and maintain. We also trust their published throughput numbers compared to specialty configs needed to match published throughput with their competitors.

WatchGuard Network Security Support
As a Platinum partner we receive support from WatchGuard for our own use of the product or to open tickets when needed for supporting mutual clients.
Yes - Critical issues are resolved in a timely fashion. For non critical issues, sometimes WatchGuard does consider items we think of as bugs as more of a feature request.
Was able to reach support late in the day and they got an RMA replacement out next-day-air shipped the same day to deal with a power supply issue. They answered right away and trusted our already performed troubleshooting steps to get the RMA processed
