ActiveCampaign is well suited for sending out email campaigns to sell products or services through single emails or automations. You can deliver access to products or lead magnets. This might be less appropriate for anyone that doesn't need as many options for different types of automation. It is simply way more than enough.

It will offer insights and content that will enable your teams attend to all the needs of your clients and grow the customer base. It's available in quote plans and this improves its affordability.

  • It has a great UI for ERP and provides in-depth reporting and budget planning. NetSuite allows alot of flexibility to build the system out to how your company does business. Our accounting department really likes the Adaptive Planning module as well, as they can provide and quickly turn around presentation-worthy reports.
  • Due to the robust features and functionality of NetSuite, it is easy to customize and put workflows and formulas into practice when necessary to create efficiencies.
  • NetSuite provides the full solution to a business, by tying all systems together for one source of the truth.

ActiveCampaign

  • The email builder is annoying. Very slow at work and it constantly resets the cursor, font type and list continuation. It's one of the most frustrating things about it.
  • I am surprised there isn't an automatic "send to people who haven't opened the last x campaigns" trigger. Other competitors have this feature. Instead, I'm forced to use 2 automations that play the role of tagging after a certain amount of days have passed.
  • While it's a market practice, I think the cost can go up exponentially the more members one has. Maybe I don't understand the process enough but places like Sendgrid, MailerLite offer decent automations and 1,000 subscribers free. I know sendgrid charges per email sent but still I find the cost to pay for a list size odd.
  • The overall refresh rate of the platform seems to use a lot of CPU power because it lags every time I switch functions or create new steps. I can hear my fans go to high every time I start doing something. I know my CPU is old but I use other demanding software and I don't have that problem. I think the refresh rate and speed of the platform can be improved.

  • NetSuite is very good at customization, but sometimes it's hard to make the right customization that we need for particular situations
  • NetSuite likes to change the layout without notifying it's users, so you might go home one day, and come back the next day to the office and have to do some searching to find what you're looking for in NetSuite.
  • If you have an issue with NetSuite, it's really difficult to understand the technical support staff as they're from India and don't speak clear English.

Our company is looking for more advanced ecommerce and internet marketing features that are not currently present in NetSuite. We feel there are too many additional costs to NetSuite to make it "our own" and understand at the same time that no software is perfect out of the box. Not having complete control of our customer data worries us, and the slowness or "lag" in the shopping cart is effecting our checkout flow. For the investment, we would not recommend businesses of our size to migrate to NetSuite but rather build in house.

I give Netsuite [CRM] a value of 8 because it's very user friendly IF the user is properly trained and is dedicated to using the system as the administrator and company has intended. There are few items such as overall navigation that could be better but really that's splitting hairs as with any CRM, nothing's perfect.

I haven't experienced application errors or unplanned outages at all. Active Campaign is ultra reliable and I would not be using them if that were the case. Also, the helpful emails they send are welcomed and informative, and present very practical tips and guidance for using the platform. They're always demonstrating new features and I'm thankful for that.

Oh my gosh, Active Campaign's performance gets an A+++ in my book. The pages load quickly and so do the reports. I haven't noticed any slowdowns when it's integrating with other programs and it performs excellently on all levels.

This might be the best part. The chat support lady offered to make a video to help me solve my problem. I worked in customer service for years and I've never done that, lol. So, if they're offering things like that, I can only imagine that they'd be able to handle most any issue you throw at them.

For simple issues (that can be answered by reading the documentation) NetSuite support seems to have a good ability to resolve our issues. Unfortunately, anything beyond that ability requires escalation into the black hole of their Tier II / Tier III Support.

ActiveCampaign is the middle ground between the simpler platforms like Mailchimp and the significant complexity of platforms like Infusionsoft (now Keap). It provides custom fields, segmented automations and other options without the need to hire a consultant or company to create/manage the platform on your behalf that many businesses find with the enterprise platforms.

My web designer told me about Active Campaign and although I don't recall which platform I had before, I LOVE Active Campaign and its user friendliness. The transition was seamless and I've never had a problem with functionality or server failure.
Active Campaign provides so many features, and makes it easy for non-techies to maneuver around the site with ease. They capture information and put it in an easy-to-read format.
At this point, I don't think I'd ever use any other platform!

  • Support can provide leads to sales when a power user leaves a current customer and joins the team at a lead.
