Workday Human Capital Management is built as a cloud-based system with global consistency in user experience. Workday HCM is part of a broader system with other Workday products.
With the help of Dayforce we were able to hire, train and pay employee in one single system without any hassle. This considerably improved incorrect payments.
I haven't used the other applications so I can't objectively compare but it has definitely made a difference having a single application on our business.
Dayforce is less complicated than other products and allows you the flexibility to meet your business needs. It is a stronger tool with greater technology and creative problem solving ability.
Greatly simplifies many processes, and provides much more timely review of data. And reporting/analytics allows the creation of more comprehensive reports without going to multiple sources and then manually pulling together in Excel, etc., to provide a single over-view of an …
Dayforce is slower with more errors and the workflows freeze. Forms are an outdated technology as they can't be edited, and are very frustrating to use. Dayforce is less adaptable to change in WCM and to the original HCM configuration. As an example, outdated time-offs can't be …

The biggest impact would be not having to duplicate work. I have used systems in the past that required the data to be entered in three different times. That leaves users open to a lot of manual keying errors. It's honestly a waste of valuable time that can be put toward …
Kronos, ADP Vantage, Net Suite, Ceridian - chose workday because of the international capabilities and its flexibility. It had enough out of the box that special programming did not need to be done. They had a good base, having worked with People soft we were aware of the …
I came to CMU after they had selected Workday. I think the biggest reason why Workday was selected, was because the business could invest in one system to bring their Payroll, HR, and Benefits activities together, where those had been 3 separate systems in the past.
