I found Qualtrics to be superior to the SurveyMonkey tool I used in a previous role. I prefer the look and feel of a Qualtrics survey and can easily identify in the surveys I am invited to take whether or not it is a Qualtrics survey or something else.
SurveyMonkey is much more affordable, but it lacks the survey flow and embedded data capability. SurveyMonkey is a good complementary tool to have alongside Qualtrics. Because Qualtrics may have an annual response quota (depending on your contract), SurveyMonkey is a cheaper …
Qualtrics does so much more than SurveyMonkey. Users who have worked with both very much prefer Qualtrics for its ease of use. You can keep it simple or you can make your survey very sophisticated. That is what is nice about using Qualtrics.
A few on campus have used SurveyMonkey for various quick surveys. Usually the data collected here is not needed for long-term, or the user is just not aware of our site license for Qualtrics.
Qualtrics turned the monkey from SurveyMonkey into the King Kong of survey platforms.

Other survey firms such as GfK and YouGov program your surveys for you. I prefer using Qualtrics to have complete quality control over the programming. However, I like that GfK and YouGov develop their own quality pool of respondents; Qualtrics, on the other hand, contracts out …
Better than QuestionPro because it is more user friendly in creating the EDM's for the email distribution & 24/7 help desk is not available for QuestionPro.
Better than Medallia & SurveyMonkey because it has more analytics capabilities & more question types.
SurveyMonkey was okay but Qualtrics was so much more powerful in almost every way. Programming complicated survey flows in SurveyMonkey was difficult and limited but with Qualtrics, it's so easy that it no longer feels complicated. Qualtrics also uses ExpertReview to help with …
In the past, I have found SurveyMonkey to be appropriate for simple surveys to gather information back quickly. However, Qualtrics provides a whole new level of detail and analytics to surveys that SurveyMonkey just cannot match. We spend a lot of time developing surveys to …
Significantly better than the ones I've previously used. We've evaluated several but I've personally used SurveyMonkey and Google Surveys. There are some that do stack up against Qualtrics but don't know to what extent.
My institution at the time was using the free version of Qualtrics. We use UserTesting at work currently since we have licenses paid for. Qualtrics isn't bad at with the institution level of license but it could be better. Overall, the interface is not as exciting or eye …

Qualtrics certainly has more types of items available than other survey tools that I have used.
Qualtrics is one of the most user-friendly survey tools in the market. Our team often looks to Qualtrics as the gold standard for template creation and sharing. Furthermore, the customization options within the platform enable your business - or specific business team to create …
Qualtrics is better for those wanting a more complex system that can handle larger/more complex surveys and do more on the analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) side. Survey monkey is a great tool for a cheap cost which our other departments use a lot, but for our …
Qualtrics had extended reports, easy and intuitive logic modification, and the data exporting was easier. It could be exported to different formats that allows you to analyse the data easier.
Qualtrics outperforms the others in terms of survey design options and professionalism. I trust Qualtrics with important data, and I don't feel quite this degree of trust or loyalty with other services.
I've used other survey products and it seems as though Qualtrics offers a more professional product, and better support when using the product. It is also easier to navigate and utilize than many other products on the market. I basically taught myself how to use the product and …
In terms of creating surveys and analyzing their results, the main competitor we use is Qualtrics. I think Qualtrics has better features, a more professional environment, and more robust tools. This can also be negative as it can be overwhelming for untrained users. I have …
It's probably above Google Surveys and below the other two. I didn't select SurveyMonkey, the company already had it and I made the decision to get an additional license for my work.
I have used Qualtrics as well. I would say Qualtrics is a more of a higher end survey solution but if your needs are basic survey monkey is probably the better value and easier to get started.
Honestly, SurveyMonkey was on our radar before most of these other options, and as it has met basically all our needs, we've felt no need to switch. For the record, Typeform's interfaces for their surveys are much more beautiful and enjoyable to use.
As far as survey building goes, I prefer SurveyMonkey. It's more intuitive. When it comes to data, though, I feel like Qualtrics gave us more to work with and process after the fact.
SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics are really for two different audiences. Qualtrics is much more advanced and has better logic and reporting features. Qualtrics also costs 16 times more than what SurveyMonkey does. SurveyMonkey serves the needs of any business that wants some basic …
Survey Monkey is a lot more user-friendly than Qualtrics, there is less of a learning curve, especially for the older employees who may not be as familiar with programs like this. It was easier to integrate everyone into than it was to get them to understand Qualtrics, although …
In our business Qualtrics is available for all staff and students. Because the ease of use is quite similar but the options in question types, number of surveys, number of respondents and the reporting options are bigger, Qualtrics will be used more. Also the privacy is safer …
Qualtrics is more complex and offers more analytics features. I think it's more costly as well. SurveyMonkey is a bit more approachable/easy for the average user and fits 90% of our needs.
I have also used Qualtrics in another role, which is a better, more advanced, cleaner, but much more expensive tool. Which to be used depends on the needs.
Users of both Qualtrics XM and SurveyMonkey often utilize these products for similar functions, predominantly to create surveys and collect data. Reviewers of both products have mentioned using them for student assessments, customer feedback, market research, and employee engagement surveys. The ability to customize surveys, collect responses, and analyze data are common use-cases cited for both these platforms.
However, in comparison to SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics XM is more frequently used by organizations that require advanced study designs, intricate data analysis, and detailed reporting. Research institutions, for instance, are prominent among the users of Qualtrics XM, often using it for complex data collection and experimental design. In contrast, SurveyMonkey is more popular among users who need a straightforward platform to create and distribute simple surveys quickly. It is often used by small businesses, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions for gathering straightforward insights and opinions.
Reviewers also note differences in user experience between the two platforms. Qualtrics XM users appreciate its robust and sophisticated functionality but suggest it may require a steep learning curve for inexperienced survey creators. SurveyMonkey users frequently praise its intuitive user interface and ease of use, even for those with minimal experience in survey design, but some believe its capability for sophisticated data analysis is lacking compared to Qualtrics XM. Overall, these differences in complexity and ease of use may influence which product best fits a user’s needs based on their specific context and expertise.
