Workday Human Capital Management is built as a cloud-based system with global consistency in user experience. Workday HCM is part of a broader system with other Workday products.
The sales process with UKG wasn't overly pushy and they didn't oversell the product. We were informed upfront about the features and limitations and they were absolutely honest with us the entire time. We also felt as if we were part of the family at UKG - which has a lot to …
UKG Pro is excellent software for its better performance and technical support for smartphone software, browsers on laptops or computers, tablets, ERP systems, etc. The company uses it for updating employees' information, office maintenance, arranging for training needs …

UKG Pro is comparable to the old WorkDay platform I was familiar with. One had advantages and disadvantages that the other did not have and vice versa. I don't know how that might have changed since I last used Workday many years ago, so they might be addressed by now. but …
Until I first evaluated and implemented the UKG Pro (UltiPro) SaaS system, my past experience was entirely with on-premise HCM/Payroll systems and/or third-party vendors such as ADP. I have been a COBOL software developer for 15 years, a Project Manager and Sr Implementation …
Workday is more suitable for global and SOX compliant organizations with requirements for localization settings for business processes, security, and regulatory reporting.
When it comes to service and support, there is no comparison between UKG, Ceridian, ADP, Workday or other HCM vendors out there. The support that we have received over the previous three years has been the best I've ever experienced in my 15+ years of working in human resources …
UKG Pro won hands-down. The flexibility, the family feel of the partnership, the customer support model, the reporting, the scalability, and the custom-programming needs of company-specific items were all much better than the competitors. The cost comparison also came in either …
UKG had all the modules we were looking for, was highly configurable, and looked like it could grow with our business. Did not realize how much of the heavy lifting was needed on our part for implementation and ongoing. UKG does have its quirks and some workarounds are needed …
UKG offers the same, and mostly better, services in the majority of the areas that we "graded" for our company's needs: recruiting, time and attendance, payroll, reporting, manager self-service, employee self-service, benefits administration, personnel requisitions, …
Payroll is key for me, and UltiPro has that sewn up as far as efficiency and accuracy. I wouldn't consider anyone else at this point and I will never go back to mainframe processing again.
In my previous role, we used Workday. Initially, I liked the ability to get support for questions and issues. I think the support has gone downhill since I started using UltiPro. I think there are also some limitations to reporting and overall configuration that Workday did …
I didn't select UltiPro; the company chose it before I started. I think a lot of processes in UltiPro are easier to use to an extent; however, there are some functionalities of Workday that are more user-friendly and intuitive for the staff.
Workday Payroll is not at the same level of Ultipro and Workday as a company are not flexible and adaptable, so it would be hard to fulfill our business needs if we moved to Workday Payroll.
SAP is a very comprehensive solution but would not be as flexible for our current needs …

The one advantage of competitors I see so far is a more extensive compensation workbench in Oracle. The ability to track financials in the same system as the HCM has been seen as a positive by the organization.
Workday has a similar setup as UltiPro but does not appear to be …
Workday seems like it is a one stop provider for multiple different systems and we could combine our HR system, finance, and multiple others that we use. We really value our relationship with Ultimate Software and trust they they will get there soon.
UKG can have some security issues with new user profiles on personal experience and its harder to adapt for elderly users. We had many situations where support was slow to respond to our tickets as the platform glitched or failed sometimes, unlike Workday HCM where all users …
Workday Human Capital Management looks at data from a different perspective and allows us to look at the same data from a macro level and a micro level and all points in between. It’s really amazing the data capabilities offered by Workday Human Capital Management.
Workday blows SAP away in the human capital management space. Workday is extremely user-friendly where SAP made me want to pull my hair out on a daily basis, as did all of my coworkers. I think it this is mainly due to the fact the Workday is ONE platform, everyone gets the …
The user interface is modern and quick to use, similar to Google and Amazon. The system works at a faster pace, allowing you to get more work done. There is a robust community of users that provide support, answers, and reporting templates (to name a few) when you have …
We liked that all customers are on the same version of the product and the minimum bi-annual updates. The customization is in the business processes you build within the delivered system. No "Bolt Ons". The visibility to managers to their teams was another big plus and we like …
We initially researched 30 and did 10 product demos. Our short list was HR Source, Ultipro, and Workday. Our need for multi-national really limited the short list. We picked Workday as their interface is head and shoulders above the other two. Ultipro was next closest. We also …

I wasn’t here when we made the selection. I was however, when we selected Workday at another company. At that time, we looked at Ultipro and Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Service.
To me, Ultipro looked very windows based. It did not have a hip cool UI and we knew that employees …
