Our business recently made the switch to Toast after two years with another point-of-sale system and I couldn't be happier. … The software is Droid based, which made me uncomfortable at first as I've never operated one before. It is incredibly easy to use and allows me to update the system...

We use ToastPOS at our Pizza shop in Boulder, CO. Our partnership with Toast began in October 2015 (we were a very early client of theirs), and I should mention it's the first POS system we've ever used; we were previously a pen & paper shop. A digital POS allows us to access Sales reporting at a...

This truly depends on what your specific needs are. For us, we needed a point-of-sale that offered a better handheld option since we cash guests out at the table with the device to limit printing checks. If your establishment doesn't do table-side transactions, then that's a non-issue. We also ha...

We are using it in our taproom to serve customers. Both on-premise and off-premise, dock sales and retail. It lets us get detailed reporting and is very intuitive. It also tracks tip share and is an easy interface with our customers. We are happy with the upgrade from our previous system.

We use the entire Upserve system at an entertainment group of six entities. It addresses issues of retail operations, as well as inventory and employee management. We primarily use the system for retail transactions, but find it useful for tracking sales throughout the day. It helps us adjust our...

Toast is used by the customer service team in each bakery. This includes management and customer service positions. It allows us to efficiently and easily ring guests up, checking them out for their items and allowing them to choose tip amounts, choice of receipt delivery (email, phone number, pr...

Our company is a 7 restaurant food hall. Essentially, a food court that is 7 separate restaurants that are ran individually but made to function as one. Revel is used as our Point-of-Sale system for all the restaurants. We use the Revel Apple Store app, on iPads that are hardwired at each locatio...

CrunchTime! is well suited for non-franchised restaurant brands. When you have control of the end-user it makes deployment and use much easier. It is less suited for franchised restaurants because of the inability for the franchiser to require its use. Without end-user interaction some data point...

Aloha POS is well suited for any kind of full-service restaurant, from high volume establishments to low volume, intimate fine dining settings. The universality to the system makes it an asset for any operation. I don't see much need for Aloha POS when it comes to fast casual, or fast food establ...

A full service or quick service restaurant with very little takeaway or delivery would be perfect for this tool. Once you start to need more functions for delivery, catering, deposits and invoicing, it starts to be less of a match though it does get the job done.

Aloha is great. The system is designed for very high volume use, it is pretty secure, and it is ridiculously easy to learn and navigate around in. In a casino, I am on the terminal constantly, as well as the other servers on their terminals, and very rarely do we have any connectivity issues, it ...

We use Compeat for our inventory control across our entire company. We generate POs, process invoices, take our inventory and build our recipes. We use the reporting tools to refine our recipes and analyze our costs. Compeat has helped us to get to all of our cost goals and close our variance gaps.

If you have simple transactions and small sales, Revel is probably too much. If you care about data, sales, growth, efficiency, systemizing your operations, and having endless customization, Revel is the way to go. If you plan on opening second locations they have very powerful tools to do just s...

We use Upserve POS in our tasting room and restaurant. I find them to be reliable, responsive, and straight-forward to deal with when we have any issues, which isn't regularly. I think all POS systems have their quirks or bugs, but we haven't experienced any hiccups that haven't been easily solva...

I use TouchBistro in our craft brewery’s tasting room. It is our POS system, time clock, finished product inventory manager, and metrics aggregator. TouchBistro provides a reliable, fast, and easy interface to process payments at our bar-- cash or credit cards. We can also easily create and manag...

Homebase is well suited for small business owners and startups who need to track employee hours more efficiently, and who desire for their employees to be able to directly compliment each other, or have more control over the ability to trade shifts. It is less appropriate for larger businesses th...

Using it to communicate with staff when a new beer is being tapped is key for us. I can message the entire staff and they can respond...

As a culinary and pastry arts instructor I use Lavu as both an instructional tool as well as the POS system for our in-class restaurant. I find the back of the house/management part of Lavu is an excellent hands-on tool to teach all the parts of restaurant management theory. It provides students ...

Breadcrumb and UpServe do an excellent job of making everything seamless! I use it every shift when we discuss trends and insights about the restaurant. This is what’s bringing restaurant work into a new age!
