Paylocity is an all-in-one solution
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is our HRIS. We use HR & Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Data Insights, Learning, Onboarding, Performance, Recruiting, Surveys, Time & Labor, Web Link, and Workflows & Documents. I am also in the process of streamlining with other systems. We use this for training, payroll, benefit management, and all of the things in each module.
Pros
- Payroll processing is easy
- Simple LMS that ties to onboarding
- Seamless onboarding
- Recruiting is easy
Cons
- Performance needs access levels - our teams are confused on when to "Complete" and when not to and the flow is difficult for them to understand because they keep forgetting to go to "Summary" to advance to the next state. It is not intuitive.
- Forms are great, but could be more robust. I'd like to be able to tie Workflows & Documents to custom fields and existing fields - for instance we need everyone to fill out a field and we can't do that through Paylocity if the field isn't accessible. This causes a bottleneck because we have to collect the info (sometimes PII) outside of the system and then import it in.
- In Position management, allow managers to access this only for their staff. If not in the module at least in the Recruiting module. Currently in the recruiting module a hiring manager has to go through the entire list, vs just those roles in their division.
- Reduced the cost spend on multiple systems - ie Performance and Payroll, all in one place
We are still building automations, so I will know more soon.
We leverage the engagement tools outside of Paylocity and I really want to integrate these. We use Motivosity for most of the functionality of Community and we use Culture Amp for engagement.
