I think Act-On would work equally well for small to large companies. If you are less confident or experienced in automation and funneling, Act-On genuinely invests in the expertise to guide and support you so you can be continually learning and developing your skills and application for the platform. You never feel you are in the deep end

Great for outbound efforts as well as for reaching out to existing clients to remain top of mind.Because OutReach pulls info from Salesforce, sometimes it becomes difficult to address messages to specific people.

Pros

  • It's been really easy to get started with Act-On! There are great step-by-step guides inside the platform on what you need to do in order to start using the system, and if any of the steps are unclear you can simply go to Act-On University to get a more detailed description.
  • So far I've been in contact with my CSM (customer success manager), technical support, the area manager and the creative team and everyone has provided competent and friendly service.
  • It's really simple to re-use assets such as forms, emails and landing pages. It saves our team a bunch of time since you almost never need to start over from scratch. To edit the assets is really simple through drag and drop functionality with great flexibility.

Cons

  • More training - There are features I haven't used, due to lack of knowing how to use them. The team has offered to train me on these, I just need to take them up on the offer!
  • Email lists - Sometimes if I remove an opt-out from one list, they are still included in another list. This can just be a source of time-consumption as I have to go find where else the contact is in our account.

  • I would love a small pop-up window to show when emails are opened.
  • It would be awesome to be able to grab open time slots from the calendar & incorporate them into a sequence for prospects to choose & auto update the calendar.

The Outreach UI is excellent, intuitive, and they are consistently releasing new features and updates. We have seen feedback we've given implemented into the platform, and any questions have been very quickly resolved. Outreach can be used by a tech-savvy hipster millennial and the the person that still uses a typewriter

Outreach is a much more intuitive tool in terms of creating and running a sequence (or cadence). The way it functions just makes more sense! We had a bunch of work arounds for SalesLoft, towards the end we were hardly using any features in the tool. SalesLoft was difficult to navigate and very clunky. The call quality was awful and our prospects typically couldn't hear us, calls were dropped often and got "rejected" frequently. Outreach integrates much better with Salesforce (although there are some challenges with the API and updates) and actually logs our activities. In SalesLoft, we were manually calling and e-mailing because the service was so inconsistent. Many of our e-mails were flagged as spam, we saw MUCH better open/response rates switching over to Outreach. Outreach is simply a better tool. It is more thoughtfully designed and provides features that support our business and efficiency. The support is very responsive and helpful. While I didn't make the decision personally to move forward with Outreach, I definitely supported it because of the intuitive nature, extra sales tools (reports, automation, etc) and the sense that the CSM team would actually respond and be helpful with any issues.
