Bloomreach has great support. So when you feel a bit lost or stuck on a problem, there is always somebody to help you out with your problem. Not just in a chat, but also on zoom call where you can explain or show your problem. Also they always check if the problem is solved the other day and if everything is working as I need.

Webflow
Webflow is great for designing pages and creating a really nice looking website, without needing to be a pro designer. However, trying to scale a company blog for SEO leaves a lot of room for desire. There are various SEO-related shortcomings (like how canonical tags are added to pages) and I also need to add a lot of custom code elements to blog posts to get the desired control. This means adding new posts and getting them looking the way we want takes way more time than it should do. Also doesn't support next-gen images, which is impacting our page speed scores and leaving us behind when it comes to Core Web Vitals update. Finally, the fact that only one person can enter the designer at one time is really annoying. I get that the Editor should be the solution to this, but it's so so so slow and jumpy that this is essentially unusable.

Pros
Bloomreach
  • All in one. We have experience working with other CDP/Marketing suites and it is really difficult to connect their different modules. Bloomreach Engagement has been built to be a single product which makes everything easy to use
  • Fast and real-time. Other platforms struggle with getting real-time volumes or segmenting based on real-time events, that is not the case with Bloomreach Engagement
  • GCP partnership. Being deployed over GCP and having BigQuery as raw data export makes really easy to expand and connect with existing stacks

  • Easy to use and customize CMS.
  • Develop engaging CSS interactions and JavaScript animations visually.
  • Several competitively priced hosting tiers are available and all use AWS servers and Fastly CDN.
  • Code can be exported to be used with other CMS platforms such as WordPress, or E-Commerce platforms such as Shopify.

Cons
Bloomreach
  • While Importing the offline data, sometimes the auto detection is failed to detect the csv file
  • While we import with wrong mapping, even after pressing escape before the import starts, its not cancelling the import. it start running. It would be great if it stops the import
  • it would be great if we receive email for successfully finished imports too

So far, Hippo is our ideal tool given its use of open standards which helps us to have a clear overview of what's coming next in the future Hippo releases. We are very confident in the future-readiness of the product

Usability
Bloomreach
In my time working with Bloomreach Commerce Experience Cloud, I always liked to work with it. It is crucial that you get support from experts from the beginning to show you how to work with the vast amount of options and activities to choose from. The learning curve is also well-rounded because of its user-friendly interface and highly skilled customer support.

It is extremely easy to use, especially with available templates and guides. It is used primarily by accounts and creative rather than dev. It is also easy to import/export projects or duplicate them for re-use and modification for another client. While it is rarely the end platform for a deliverable, it is often instrumental in pitching.

Reliability and Availability
Bloomreach
99% of the time the site is available for when we need to use. With any cloud based software there will be occasion that there is an outage but this is communicated effectively and dealt with quickly. This has never got in the way of what we need to do in our day to day work and wouldn't be thought of as a problem

In my experience, their customer service is an absolute joke, I tried reaching out to them they took forever. I had to keep following up with them as if they never received it in the first place. It’s a new platform, so guidance is needed. Tried the university they offer, in my opinion, it is completely useless, I would just completely move on from this website.

Performance
Bloomreach
The search API is very fast (150ms), even considering we have nearly 2 million products in our catalog. The console pages where you do your configuration, add ranking rules and synonyms are sometimes a bit slower to load, but your customer would not notice any of that. The reports pages are also not the fastest, but definitely okay

In my opinion, it is horrible, the rendering takes forever. I have the newest MacBook and the platform will still lag and slow down on me. I’m not a developer, I am a designer which makes it worst because I am using the features they are providing not extra coding features. In my opinion, it is a horrible platform really, stay away.

Support Rating
Bloomreach
When I get through to support they are absolutely amazing but I think sometimes the wait can be too long. From experience I also know HubSpot and Dotdigital allow for live calls or call-backs which gives you that extra layer of support and satisfaction. That alone would have taken this score to a 9.

We pay hundreds of dollars a month to Webflow, yet their support is worse than a typical free SaaS product. We were prevented from deploying changes to our site because of how Webflow structures its support. It delayed a product launch for the whole company. Support options? Beg for help on community forums, it took a threat to email the CEO to finally get movement. If there were easy alternatives, we would switch. But for now we just pray nothing breaks and that we don't need to interact with Webflow support.

Alternatives Considered
Bloomreach
Bloomreach is a really easy to use platform compared to other CRM systems and allow faster integration to the other data sources. It allowed deduping services and the ammonization feature for data protection is really easy to set up which fields contain personal information and therefore remove the data when a customer request it.

The code quality and speed can't even be compared to Elementor; Webflow is simply a much better tool. Instapage has a cool feature for dynamic landing pages, which changes according to Google Ads Keyword, which I miss; however, amazing webflow community members recreated that functionality with a custom script. For the majority of users, it's a safer bet than WordPress in terms of speed and code quality. WordPress could provide amazing results if hosted properly (nginx, caching configuration) and requires best practices to maintain code quality. Webflow solves these issues out of the box at a fraction of cost.

Scalability
Bloomreach
there is an option of multiple projects per organisation, customers and assets can be copied across. Multiple sites can be managed in one project, different activities organized under initiatives. Splitting work into sensible units is therefore well possible. The billing is based on number of tracked and number of stored events, no package-based deals. It should therefore be well scalable from a small e-store to a large corporation.

I feel it doesn’t perform the way it’s supposed to and it doesn’t have any beneficial factors to it. In my opinion, there is no reason to use a platform like this when Wix and Shopify, and WordPress exist. I believe Webflow is a platform that shouldn’t exist and it’s only popular because of the hype it received. I tried it and hate it completely.

  • It allowed us to go from earning hundreds to thousands
  • We were able to expand our services
  • The only negative would be that we cannot really use it as a Shopify substitute yet, nor a big blog site.
