Adobe Marketo Engage
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Studio (retiring)
Marketo has more functionality and behavioral triggers as well as more program customization for reporting purposes. RTP and Content AI also distinguish Marketo from other platforms. I have used Salesforce platforms for marketing automation and while useful because of their one …
I realized how much I valued Marketo after switching to SFMC. SFMC is a Frankenstein project that is not user-friendly and takes a developer to get things achieved that I ( or a developer) could set up in minutes in Marketo. I would never recommend SFMC to anyone.
We previously used HubSpot, which was a great platform for a small, fast-growing startup. However, as we looked to mature a lot of our marketing operations to support a greater volume and complexity of campaigns, we found HubSpot to be lacking in a number of areas. Marketo has …
Marketo better for enterprise applications due to robustness of solution. Other systems better suited for small to medium businesses. Easier user interface and most commonly used platform with twenty percent market share. Has largest global network of users and community. …
Marketo was the platform that when in place when I arrived at the organization. I have extensive experience with the SFDC suite of tools, particularly Pardot, I find that some of the functionality of Marketo to not be as intuitive to use as Pardot. They have been slow to …
I've done some analysis for clients as to why an enterprise MAP such as Marketo is necessary and the main thing it comes down to is the logic capabilities. Marketo is completely customizable and can be architected to suit the needs of a particular business. This is necessary …
In our brief research before, and continued research over time, as a Salesforce CRM house, the importance of integration to Salesforce is critical to our MAP. As we have continued to investigate, many of what we see/hear about from SFDC marketing cloud ends up including …
Marketo had the best balance of customizability and usability. It matched our need for advanced data capabilities, marketing automation, and a native Salesforce integration.
Marketo works better than HubSpot for large enterprises and B2B. I don't have direct experience with HubSpot, but those I know that have used it really liked it and found it easy to use and fully-featured, if not very scalable. I don't have direct experience with it, but Eloqua …
Marketo is a much more robust tool when it comes to tracking engagements of a prospect, connecting with other platforms as well as an overall better user experience than the others.
While Marketo has a steeper learning curve than most platforms, it is also more robust in the way it can be configured and used to manage leads and data. The strong integration with Salesforce and other marketing technology is an advantage, especially for larger organizations …
HubSpot is better suited towards the smaller business market. In my experience, it's struggled with scalability - particularly within larger organisations.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud is more targeted towards enterprise organisations. My experience with the product has felt …
Journey builder is a nice feature of SFMC, as you can create decision trees that relate to content pieces, wait times, etc., that are all relative to the …
Honestly marketo was implemented at both SaaS based companies that I have worked for before I got there, but it seems to have a clear dominant stake hold here in the midwest.
Marketo is much better than both of these platforms. Has more features, easier to use, bigger library of integrations, larger community of users, etc. I would recommend Marketo over both of these.
I have used ExactTarget, Pardot and Eloqua but I would prefer Marketo over them any day It could be because now I am really comfortable using this product. But it was really easy for me to move from those MA systems to Marketo. The UI is really good and the DOCs they provide …
Marketo's depth of integration and customization seemed to edge out its competition. Their community is larger than most other systems and easy to engage with.

Chose Adobe Marketo Engage
Marketo is a very strong platform and was ultimately chosen because of its ability to drive improved outbound and inbound campaigns at scale for a multi-business unit global organization.
Selection depends on the client. I think out of all the tools, Marketo does the best job when it comes to workflows, but I don't like the email builder or their lack of reporting.
Eloqua does not have the roadmap/vision of Adobe Marketo, nor the ease of use. SFMC does not have lead scoring. Pardot does not have as robust AI-enabled capabilities or overall roadmap.
