Likelihood to Recommend As a worker in the sales area, I see closely how complex it can be to evaluate the commercial funnel and Mixpanel has been an indispensable guide to prioritize above all what customers expect to receive from our company, and thus be able to determine the main service we offer. Without a doubt, Mixpanel has special functions to be the one that guides the route and marks the objectives much more clearly.
Read full review Tealium Customer Data Hub is great for situations where you want to collect data from a front end data layer and then route it to multiple data tools, or if you need the ability to transform the values collected before sending. There is a tremendous amount of customizability. It has also been good for tag management of marketing/advertising tags/pixels, but could use a little improvement with regards to putting many tags on the same page. If your situation requires a lot of complexity to the marketing tags, it is still very possible to do with Tealium Customer Data Hub, but could be less complicated. Luckily, Tealium Customer Data Hub's support crew is excellent and really will partner with us and help us succeed.
Read full review Pros Mixpanel is a daily use application for everyone in my organization; it helps us have a better flow of information and interaction between work teams. The user interface of this platform is simple and has a wide variety of functions and resources to help us work in the most organized way, have better team coordination, and keep efficiency high. I love that it is so easy to program our calendar to our liking, so we can prioritize our activities and know what is pending, and the best thing is that I can update the calendar if necessary. The chat function is great to improve the interaction between colleagues and share work schedules and any information with third parties. Read full review Simple tag management that is tough to beat. So many solutions that are incredibly simple to setup and gather data for. Security around the data is key and Tealium excels in this area. The speed impact of the tag setup is key to optimizing and allowing our web properties to run more effectively, which is a better experience for the end user. Read full review Cons Mixpanel requires an explicit setting of events from your app. This means you need to be very thoughtful in the design of your events because missing one means you aren't collecting any data from it. Inserting it into the process later on then brings challenges in tracking when certain events came online. A tool like Mixpanel comes packed with features that sometimes are harder to discover. It's very easy to get sucked into one part of its toolset and not be aware of other tools which may be very useful. Users with JavaScript experience, developers (with a solid understanding of browser Dev Tools), and technical minded people will learn it more quickly. Some of the documentation seems lacking. My biggest complaint is that the documentation may explain things, but often is missing clear examples. If I had some clear examples, I could possibly avoid opening tickets for tech support. Read full review Likelihood to Renew It's not an all encompassing solution like Google Analytics tries to be, but MixPanel offers much easier to use and understandable data insights. That's valuable when juggling many responsibilities as startup life demands, so a renewal would be easily justified.

Read full review Support team has always been great at addressing issues or questions, by providing answer or escalating it internally to the right individual. reply response time has been always reasonable. Some responses are responded with documentation doc but in some instances the question require a non-generic answer that can create a back-and-forth conversation.

Read full review Alternatives Considered There was not really any other competitors for this specific use case that had a chance We used Google Analytics for some things but obviously, GA is anonymous data so not useful for product teams with users Other solutions out there seemed to be too expensive and this was the most recommended Heap seemed to be the best OTHER option but didn't take the time to evaluate Read full review Tealium Customer Data Hub can use 1P IDs and that is the main reason we selected it. with hindsight it was a good choice in this respect Tealium Customer Data Hub can process and forward event data via api, which AAM cannot AAM connectors can be set up with a few clicks whereas Tealium Customer Data Hub connectors require support from an engineer aam machine learning tools infer a score after every event so can be used for onsite single session use cases, whereas Tealium Customer Data Hub ML infers at end of session, so is only really useful for paid media / retargeting use cases Tealium Customer Data Hub's visitor stitching approach is broad brush and irreversible; AAM allows you to merge customer profiles at your discretion depending on the use case

Read full review Return on Investment We've been able to increase the funnel conversions of one of our new product funnels from a 1% conversion rate to a 5% conversion rate. We've been able to increase the CTR on another of our main product pages from ~3% to ~10% (so far) We've been able to segment out how users from different traffic sources behave, allowing us to eliminate thousands of dollars of wasteful spending on advertising campaigns that weren't working. Read full review There has been a near immeasurable return on customer data and improvement of our quality for our physical products due to be in tune with the customer. This has changed our way of doing things for the better to gain a better flow and overall workplace experience. A negative is that Tealium AudienceStream becomes harder to manuever and use data analytics for when a database has been existing for a fairly large amount of time.
