Best BPM Tool? It's Appian!
I did not get chance to work on the other BPM tools but I am pretty sure that Appian will outstrip others in terms of Process Designing and Management, Scalability, Security, Performance and ease of use.

I like it a lot for many reasons
The main product that my company uses is Microsoft Teams. I think that Appian is far superior to Microsoft Teams in many aspects but the most significant is the ability to use easily and move from reports to reports. I far prefer Appian to Teams. The design is much better and the optimization of the entire system makes much more sense to me.

Great coding but tough cost
Appian surpasses Microsoft PowerApps because of how much easier it is to code. I found Appian easier to code than the competitor because of how you could access the code behind the scene (SAIL). This allowed for even greater customization and helps with debugging when you have an error. I also love the look and feel you can create with Appian.

Beginner Appian Developer Review
I restarted my career with Appian. I feel Appian is the best.
Appian provided a better IDE for implementation, strategy to upgrade to newer versions, Appian had a simplified model to integrate with APIs and handle their responses as well as providing more robust BMP and RPA capabilities.

Appian a great product in the right place!
We have been an Appian shop since my arrival. Prior to Appian, I used .net and the Microsoft dev stack. And before that Java and miscellaneous languages. Every tool has strengths and weaknesses. That said, by using Appian, we have lowered our dev time, cost and are creating dynamic applications in a fraction of the time other models would require.

Appian is great choice and a difference maker
This question is difficult to answer. Appian is a top-of-the-list product in categories like Low-Code development, BPM Suite, RPA Development, Service Hub... so, in itself, with already available strong components like Customer Service Center, Intelligent Document Processing (incl AI & ML), Mobile Applications and so on itself. So to compare it means to compare it to all of these things.
Secondly, Appian [cannot] so much compare to a software approach, rather than a development approach. Thus it cannot be compared with JavaScript, Java, C# or Python. Its outcome has to be compared with its overall business value.
And the later cannot be overestimated.
Appian is reliable, secure, very fast, offers a real chance to be a survior of digitization challenges, opens new groups of the workforce, lets IT and Business really collaborate, challenges legacy developers, brings data together, creates excellent insight in business processes and makes business life just easier. And it saves you a LOT of money, even so it is expensive IF you have the fitting size and use cases.
- Microsoft Power Automate (formerly microsoft flow)
Appian is best in class for BPM and low-code UX areas, and has a well stocked marketplace when you need to integrate with systems not supported by first party connectors. However, the integration with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 platforms is not as strong (as expected) as the first party Power Platform solution. Appian is also less scalable than the newer breed of cloud native vendors that can deploy your applications in a server-less environment supporting full scale-up and scale-down.

My experience with the low-code platform
Appian has enormously transformed and keeps on updating the product every quarter to meet the latest needs of the world with new innovations & technologies being integrated within the platform. What gives more pleasure than a product that keeps on continuous[ly] improv[ing]?
Appian is more suitable for us because is easier to build than OutSystems.
Entellitrak pales in comparison to Appian. It has an incredibly poor interface design, an awful process modeler, and an overall poor user experience. Appian makes all of this seamless.

Appian: An easy way to be closed to the business
Appian presented us that the software will allow EDPR to develop better solutions than OutSystems because our developments need to be very closed to the business needs, and we are in a really changing work environment, then we need to be able to adapt our development as fast as we can to this changes.

Similar workflow aspects but Appian has more scope for customization and we already have a license and relationship set up with Appian.

Appian - A Great Low-Code Platform
UiPath is another RPA platform that I've used to automate processes within my business. However, I prefer to use Appian because in addition to RPA capabilities, it has a far more robust platform for business process management, which I want to be able to integrate my robotic processes with.

I have not evaluated other products.
The biggest pros of Salesforce are:
- the ability to create sandboxes
- refresh data from prod to sandbox
- auto-scaling
The pros of Appian are:
- cost
- no limit on API calls
- great professional services teams
- easy to get support when there is an issue
- ability to customize things like adding a VPN and connections to external databases

Product Development with Appian
Perceived as easier to operate and significantly lower cost to implement when originally implemented. I do believe Pega has become more competitive in this regard.
