Slack is very useful for me in terms of work, where I can search [for] a member and can get [a] response from them directly instead if sending mail and waiting. We can have multiple members in a chat instead of creating a new channel, which I can say is an amazing feature.

My company uses Slack for all communication, as it is a direct way to contact people without relying so much on email. It is a great group chat device that also allows for sharing of files and important data. It seems much more user-friendly than Teams. We have several "channels" set up with different departments, so it is very easy to send a message out to just those people that need to be included. I would recommend this over teams any day.

Well suited:
For direct message.
For message chat in a channel.
For messaging in various threads.
For starring a channel. For sharing the threads with peers.
For discussion with peers on the huddle.
Not suited:
For huddling with peers need to screen share (it hangs/freezes a lot).
For multiple screen share at a time.

I like the user experience when I start to chat with a specific team member or colleague. It is easy to find all of them. I like the navigation bar. I like the tips and tricks sometimes. It is easier for one-to-one calls. For group calls, I think there is room for improvement by adding other colleagues to the call. Can it be done faster, with suggestions for your team members?

Slack is suited in all types of organizations [that] have structure expanded over various departments and particularly those which operate in more than one country around the world where frequent communications and team setups are necessary to accomplish the routine tasks and get things addressed across borders around the globe.

It's great for any company that requires quick/instant communication. We use Google Workspace, but it integrates well with Google Calendar so that's not a problem. I can see how anyone who uses primarily Office 365 tools may want to use Microsoft Teams, as it's more integrated with that ecosystem than Slack.

It is well suited in small organizations and less suited in bigger organizations. On a large scale, it becomes a bit confusing to use this app. For small organization rates at which it is offered is also viable. If proper understanding is not there then it is difficult to use. So a person who tends to learn should use this app.

It is well suited for medium and large organizations, but with the full version. This allows more customization and security layers due to the fact that maybe some members would be temporary and with different roles. It could suit small organizations, but maybe they will have a lot of unused features compared with larger organizations.

Slack is really super easy to use so there is no real learning curve. Where I work, everyone is fully-remote (even before Covid) and we have about 300 employees so Slack is the perfect tool for direct messaging and also has the ability to integrate many apps such as Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Jira (all tools we use on a daily basis). For much smaller companies, Slack might be a bit pricey compared to other business messaging apps.

Slack is very suited for smaller teams to work together and used for small departments or specific goals. I feel that it can be used across an organization however it lacks the ability for the whole organization to be on it at the same time. it is very useful for organizing a town hall but with a small section of people.

In my previous org my team tried to switch from WhatsApp to Slack and it didn't work - it has to be something a whole org embraces to make it valuable. I went from not understanding the point to loving Slack. It is especially valuable for someone like me who works across so many different teams.

Slack is amazing for people who are in several projects at once, because it allows streamlined communication with different teams. It's is so easy to create [a] "sub-channel" to group different members for a few departments involved in the work. The current picture when we are on a project is to have one main channel with everyone involved, and then at least 3 or 4 other channels with specific people focused [on] certain areas. This is the new normal and has helped a lot with project communication and organization.

If you are having a team and are in a professional setting, Slack is an important tool for workspace management.

If you have clients and do a lot of project-based work, Slack is a great source for the organization of these communications groups so that things get done effectively and efficiently.

Our software development teams and project managers find Slack helpful within the businesses. It is the most widely used networked communication platform. For teamwork, project management, and meetings, it's our go-to app. The Zoom/Outlook integration is fantastic. The Quick Huddle is my favorite feature. I use it to collaborate and share screens with my coworkers. We can also use it to share files, images, and URLs, among other options.

It is well suited for big or small [enterprises] for internal communication purposes and can integrate many applications. If the enterprise is big and contains many departments they can use it to create different channels for different departments and also can direct message any member of [the] organization. But it is not well suited for non-technical [enterprises].

Slack is a really great tool for companies especially. It's easy to use and you could send files and start huddle with ease. Creating teams and channels has been a breeze and I love how you get to star a certain channel so you could go back to it easily. I love the new huddle feature they released. It just takes seconds to set up the call and bam! you're connected to the person you want to talk to.

Slack Is great for professional use and personal use. It's a great place to share files, media, messages, and keep track of processes with very minimal friction. It's fun and easy to use, it integrates with most of the tools you use, and it keeps you connected in an a world where we're otherwise very disconnected.

When several of us were running [an] upgrade for a customer's environment we used Slack to run the project. We were able to video conference with the team members and the customer. We used Slack to detail the process for the upgrade. Then when it came time to do the upgrade we were able to video conference and screen share the process to [ensure] the project's success.
