Overall Satisfaction with Gong

Gong is used for coaching and development. The technology helps the team with balanced dialogues, reduce repetitiveness, and capitalize on behaviors that drive sales. We also communicate with clients who are interested in recordings of demos. It is so professionally presented and just makes you look good.

Pros

  • First and foremost, their support is second to none! They are knowledgeable and eager to help. They help to get the best out of the system.
  • The AI recommendations based on the data in the system as a whole is immeasurable! Very helpful!
  • Points of interest, keys right into the areas of strength and opportunity.

Cons

  • The transcriptions can rarely just be read without listening to the call. They don't capture what was said all of the time. It can be frustrated the tech can't even identify your own company name in the transcript.
  • There are moments at the beginning of calls while you wait for everyone to jump on. It would be nice to delete (as an admin) the portions of the call that are not specific to the call itself....like small talk before on inter office talk about different accounts.
  • Gong has helped train new employees in different areas of the business.
  • Saves time and removes speculation with quotes
It's easy to use, requires little guess work. If you have questions, you'll get answers - quickly! Once you set up trackers, key words, etc., it fills in the rest with emails and links so you can hear what you need. The libraries you set up are also great with insights.
Stated before, with trackers Gong has allowed us to set up key words to understand what our prospects need and say about our "competitors". This helps reduce the sales cycle and provide pointed insights to the prospect.
Again, asking the right questions gets prospects to open up. Tracking that information in a fluid manner was the challenge before Gong. Using it has allowed us a portal/library to categorize industry insights, pain points, how customers are looking to solve problems - all in one place. I've attempted this manually for years and it's virtually impossible. Gong does it without effort.
It's sexier. The UI/UX is better than anything we've evaluated. We just love it....and they don't nickel and dime you. The staff at Gong is exemplary! When working with Zoominfo and Chorus.ai - they disappeared. You can tell people at Gong, like their jobs!
