Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

We use Wrike to keep track of every project that our small team is working on. Our director of ops is responsible for keeping everything updated and on track and training team members to use the tool. We use it in meetings to run through projects and make status updates as well as use it as a deadline tracker.
  • Project management
  • Project tracking
  • Team communication
  • Organization
  • To-do's
  • 1:1 templates
  • Hard to learn to use (user adoption) (yes there are training videos but we ALL know that no one except the admin really goes through and watches those).
  • Easier dashboard interface
  • Project visibility
  • Ability to tag/communicate within the tool about projects
  • Cuts down on meetings because everyone knows where projects stand.
  • Balls don't get dropped for clients because things are visible.
  • Ability to remind/follow up with team members on status on their tasks.
This tool seems to cover the most bases for us. Best project management tool for the cost. Slack integration is a big plus.

Do you think Wrike delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Wrike's feature set?

Yes

Did Wrike live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Wrike go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

Wrike is great for projects where there are multiple contributors and many milestones to hit overall project timelines. It doesn't work as well (or seems redundant) to log projects where there is just one person working on it. Things also only really work well when the whole team is committed to using the tool. Otherwise, it can become outdated and not a great source of information. Slack integration feature that was just added is incredibly helpful.

Wrike Implementation

Our team is small and rolled it out in small steps for us. No interaction with the Wrike staff.
Change management was minimal - Make sure to train individuals - everyone has different issues.
  • Remembering to update

  • Project tracking/planning

Key part of our biz flow

Evaluating Wrike and Competitors

Yes - We replaced Podio and word docs for project plans. We wanted more team visibility and tracking.
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
It was important that everyone involved was able to easily organize and updated key projects. It was also important that people would find it useful and integrates into the typical workflow.
The only thing we may do differently is to make sure that the admins vs. daily users are both involved in the demos.

Wrike Training

It can be hard to standardize training for each use case and found 1:1 training easier because of specific questions I would have. Videos are helpful to give the right direction and guidance though. Good job.

Configuring Wrike

Seems like anything we need to get done can be created. Not always easy to create but seems like there are lots of options if you give it time.
Make sure to think through what you want before you start building.
No - we have not done any custom code

Wrike Support

I have not used this tool, thought that's probably a good testament in and of itself that I have never really had a bug issue. Sometimes I have to refresh the tool because it doesn't auto refresh.
No I did not - did not need these features.

Using Wrike

Easy to use once we were trained on how to use it. Setup required.
ProsCons
Relatively simple

Well integrated
Consistent
Feel confident using
Cumbersome
Lots to learn
  • Updates
  • Creating projects
  • Project plans
  • Organizing projects
  • Status changes and finding things that are complete
Yes - It’s okay but I am much more used to the desktop function. Mostly just use the mobile for searching.
