Lucidspark is currently being used in one department at this time. It addresses the problem of brainstorming in real-time within a remote setting. It also eliminates having to take the extra step to digitize what would have been on post-it notes. The data is saved from the exercise and can be applied to drive results straight away.
  • User friendly.
  • Tutorials.
  • Wide variety of tools.
  • Case studies.
  • Certification programs.
  • More demos on usage.
It is great for brainstorming but less appropriate for process mapping.
  • Meeting effectiveness.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Time savings.
Easy to use.
Extremely valuable as we use all apps mentioned; makes it easy to share data.
Fast and easy.
I did not have issues.

To use Lucid Visual Collaboration you would need to have facilitation, problem solving, collaboration and communication skills to understand user needs, provide instruction ad convey information.

From the moment I used Lucid Visual Collaboration, I found it intuitive and very easy to use. I like that it is cloud based and how well it integrates with Google Workspace, Confluence and Microsoft Office. Also, the ability to present the diagrams without having to export is very efficient and helpful.

The ease of use. This saves a lot of time with not having to figure out how to use the Software. This allows brainstorming to flow more smoothly and also decreased the time needed to produce visuals.
It is difficult to say at this stage as it meets our requirements.

Lucidchart is used mostly for trying to see abstractions in order to translate complex problems to scalable databases. We have stopped writing descriptive Slack messages/emails and instead exchange information by visualizing it with Lucidchart. We also use Lucidchart for creating product roadmaps and organizing events.
  • Very easy to use - no need to spend time on onboarding new employees.
  • Reasonable selection of shapes - no more than you'd need.
  • Easy to create interactive pdf-s.
  • I probably delete arrows 100 times a day - they appear when I accidentally click too close to the shape's border.
  • We'd make so much more use of it if it would be possible to somehow create shapes that have object-like data attached to them and therefore we could export a JSON from a Lucidchart page - basically Lucidchard as visual API.
Lucidchart is very good at unloading heavy lifting from work memory to page. It's an amazing tool to use when you need to think together about a complex problem - keeps meetings on focus because we do not need to spend so much time on describing our mental models - instead we can just show.
  • Improves meetings
  • No need to buy Atlassian.
There literally is no learning curve - very intuitive.
I have tried to use Google's integration but usually, my maps are too big to make sense in a google document. Haven't felt the need to use any other integrations. However, I did try to find a way to make Lucidchart shapes act like user stories - have statuses like "all, done, in design, etc" and be duplicatable to create some different combinations of user stories - weekly plan, roadmap, product documentation.
Once I asked for a feature, they answered quickly and said that they don't have it. But I ought to write a feature request so I felt that my question was actionable in their company.
Lucidchart gives the freedom to manage processes exactly like you think they should be managed - other apps try to teach their ways of what they think is best. The only problem Lucidchart has is that the shape data is not re-useable.
  • Creating maps of complicated processes is really easy.
  • Sharing the map with other users is really easy.
  • No need to write complicated texts to describe your ideas - just share Lucidchart.
  • Whiteboards are useless in meetings - a Lucidchart on a screen is way more productive.
All meetings take place with Lucidchart on the meeting room screen. Everyone who got some action items from the meeting can just see the chart for reference to recall the problem they needed to solve.
  • Product documentation
  • Roadmap
  • Design wireframes
  • The arrows are a bit cumbersome - appear too often accidentaly
  • Drawing a line without an arrowhead is difficult
  • Kinda missing a shape that would describe a cycle
Yes
Very well! Really nice how they have solved the UX for writing inside a shape.

Lucidchart is used across the organization for groups that want to display certain processes, flows, or org charts. I work at an asset management company that has many different moving parts and asset classes with operations around the world, so all our groups create process maps to show how each of the business units interacts with one another and how processes work throughout each business group. It also helps us compile org charts and show how our legal entities tie into one another. All of this is especially helpful to show new hires to catch them up to speed and have for auditing purposes to show that we have all our operational processes mapped.
  • organizational charts
  • process mapping
  • personalization/customization
  • organization
  • price is high if you're a small business/individual
  • Can be slow/take a while to load
  • There is a bit of a learning curve with formatting and navigating the program
  • limited functionality if you choose to use the free version
If you want to get your firm organized and document processes, workflow, org charts, or map out an idea, this software is great. It can be used whether it's on a company-wide scale, for personal, or educational use. There is a free version but it is limited in terms of functionality so depending on what you need it for you may have to upgrade. I recommend the paid version for a large company. If you're an individual I recommend the free version if it suits your needs.
  • Ease of auditing
  • Improve project efficiency
  • Ease of onboarding new hires and catching them up to speed
  • changing/formatting fonts
  • adding new shapes
  • connecting processes (i.e. shapes)
  • moving shapes or lines can be difficult
  • software can be slow to load
  • customization is difficult using free version
Yes, but I don't use it
The software is incredibly easy to use and can be used on both a personal and business scale. It really can help you map out processes in a business or help you begin to formulate ideas for personal or educational use. Having the free version is great since you can test out some limited functionality before committing to purchasing the full version.
