ion interactive may be the most underrated marketing tool in existence. If you run an online business, you owe it to yourself to use this tool. ion interactive is the most flexible page builder and A/B testing platform. We operate our e-commerce in a best in class platform (Demandware), but when it comes to quickly launching A/B tests, ion interactive is the place we do all our testing. It's an advanced platform, which is fully responsive and allows us to easily iterate without any developer support. It's a tool any tech-savvy marketer can take advantage of to create complex experiences with conditional logic, dynamic substitutions, cohesive branding, widgets, data flow to your analytical tools or ESP, etc. If there was only one tool I could purchase to grow my business, ion interactive is the one I would choose without blinking.

The main users of the platform are part of our marketing team and are hands-on users who will manage, design, implement, and report on experiences. At times, our analytics person gets involved for tracking requests or tag integrations. It is impressive that such a robust platform can really be operated by one team member.

A user will get the most out of the platform if they possess basic HTML/CSS skills and a sharp eye for graphic design. That being said, a lot of the ready-made experiences can be launched by applying your custom brand theme (which they build for use based on your brand book) and switching images/copy as needed.

Ion has become an essential tool to our business. There is not one day that goes by where we are not in the platform. It's in the top three vital technology tools we use alongside Google Analytics and Tealium (tag manager). Our marketing testing and agility would suffer greatly without this tool.

It replaced a tool called Supadu, which was a solid content management platform, but lacked the A/B testing, tracking, and reporting capabilities that Ion provides out of the box. We were especially looking for a tool for marketers and capable of making responsive design consideration a integral part of our workflow.
After several demos, we were highly impressed by the tool's usability and features. This was by far, the number one selling point for the product. It is a tool designed for marketers, yet we have never found ourselves stuck trying to publish an experience with more complex requirements (dynamic content, parallax, etc.)
At this time, I do not see any reason to look elsewhere. We are 100% satisfied by the product and our decision to invest in this tool.

Support has always been outstanding with Ion Interactive. I love the new chat feature for quick questions when you are working in the console building a page. The widget launches as on overlay and connects you immediately to one of Ion support team members. Very efficient. I often deal with the same support member that I've had a relationship with for 5+ years.

I cannot speak for the entire organization, but my team uses ion interactive to build websites for our clients. ion interactive makes it easy to update and change content, and track performance once the site is launched. In some ways, we use it as a sort of content management system for our clients' sites, microsites, and landing pages.
  • From design to development to deployment, ion interactive is fast and for the most part simple to use.
  • Once trained in the program, many features become second nature to use.
  • Regular updates keep the platform fresh and ensure users like me that the company is constantly moving forward.
  • Sometimes, features that I use daily may disappear without notice. Whether they're gone forever or simply moved around to somewhere else is usually unclear.
  • Creative Studio really needs an "Undo" button. One incorrect click-and-drag can mess up a whole page sometimes.
  • The platform itself could use a User Experience refresh. Some icons don't necessarily make sense for their function.
For my clients, we use ion interactive for nearly every site and landing page. The only time we do not need to use ion interactive is when we are creating a page that for some reason does not need any specific tracking. For example, an internal website for our organization itself could just be created and hosted on our own servers.

Aside from WordPress, which is far and away a vastly different program, I have never used any other similar product.

Typically, I utilize the chat function built into the Creative Studio. This usually solves my problem, and I do not need to escalate to using any sort of premium support functionality. In the past, I've sent emails to their support team and still haven't yet been prompted to pay for any premium support.
Most of the time, support staff help is quick and efficient, and our correspondence is done soon after it begins and my problem is solved. Other times, I may have an issue where support tells me the only way to fix it is to rebuild my site from the ground up. This is often not feasible, and I'm relegated to experimenting with the tools provided. Most of the time, I'm able to still accomplish my goal, which leads me to believe that the support staff doesn't always give the most efficient solutions. That said, this is a rare occurrence, and typically problems are solved quickly.

  • The multiplicity of options is amazing. Anything and everything you want or need is right at your fingertips.
  • The customer service and interaction is beyond any other company I have ever worked with. If I had a question, concern or just needed guidance, they were always more than happy to help.

  • It is very complex. To get to the final product, you must be able to patiently navigate while imputing a lot of information.
  • It is quite time consuming. To get to the page I need, it takes a lot of digging, imputting, and trial and error.
  • A great ROI is that we have a lower bounce rate on our ads. We have issues with people making assumptions about the kind of business we do but with LiveBall the decrease on bounce rate has helped introduce more people to our company.
  • With LiveBall, we've been able to test out different layouts for ads which has helped increase interest in our company.
Despite the complexity of the LiveBall, the overall product yields results that cannot be found anywhere else. The customer support alone is worth the renewal but the products they produce and our end results make LiveBall the obvious choice. I would recommend it to any company, big or small, nonprofit or otherwise, to use LiveBall--it will only increase your quality of advertisements and quantity of interest in your company/product.
LiveBall is going to be the answer to a lot of questions regarding your advertising platform. I would insist that live training session be included at the beginning of use and that perhaps monthly/bi-monthly meetings are in order. Also, I would ask about a trial to see how it would work for their company.

The main group of individuals working with LiveBall live within different departments. One, the Digital Marketing Strategist and the other is a Business Analyst with the Customer Relations department. By providing input from both individuals, our use of the LiveBall platform expands encompassing multiple perspectives regarding advertisements and our customers. It is nice to have multiple log-in capabilities with LiveBall.
