Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

I've used ClickUp across multiple industries (Construction / Travel / Marketing) however mainly use it in Marketing Agencies for Design, Paid Media, Websites, etc. I focus on working within Agencies who are also catering to multiple clients (between 10-100). We use ClickUp to create a hierarchy of information to manage clients projects, as well as organize internally to grow and sustain the business.
  • It is user friendly but also can provide in-depth use case and functionality that many other PM tools do not offer (or it's harder to navigate).
  • Creates a central space for all information within your organization, allowing you to use less tools. It almost does it all...
  • Permissions are finite allowing you to have more control on who sees what - from contractors to clients I can still utilize it as a central place but have privacy where needed.
  • Dashboards seem to be glitching lately and can use some functionality and filter improvements.
  • When you time track to a newly created task (within the time tracker), it disappears into the ethers of ClickUp. I thought this initially was user error, but happens across organizations.
  • Improve the filtering and functionality of Gantt charts and the calendar views
  • Allow for rules within forms, so if something is checked or toggled, another form section could appear
  • Faster and detailed time reporting for client billing (showing exactly what time was spent on)
  • Increased team collaboration due to ease of use across tasks
  • Personally for small business, invoicing clients on time, paying taxes on time, all the things I may forget otherwise since I am so busy working.
Excellent workflow for collaborating within teams. Having all the information within a task or project and being to measure, time track, list project notes and goals and communicate within, and add stakeholders for priorities has made clients tighten up their internal processes, leading to better revenue and ROI. You would be surprised how many people were not tracking time and measuring against projects!
Simplifying your tech stack is a step in the right direction and ClickUp paves the way to increasing project turn around while giving you a tool that (nearly) has it all. As a project manager overseeing over 30 projects a week, the notifications panel is life saving - I can review, edit, comment all from one place. This helps streamline my work to not have to click throughout the system to see what progress has been made and who I need to respond to.
All of these other tools were either far more complicated for the team to integrate, or were missing many of the features that ClickUp has.

Highly recommend for almost any small business that needs an affordable way to stay organized but can scale into tools they will need.
Marketing industry is a 10/10 use case, rarely have I not been able to build something out that did not satisfy a client.
Construction industry use case was a 6/10, the map view was incredibly helpful for properties, however was missing elements that other construction/property software has. Still a good alternative option.

Evaluating ClickUp and Competitors

Yes - Monday - Great for 1 person business or super small teams but can't handle the layout and automations for large complex projects Asana - not as user friendly, missing no-brainer features that I love to use in ClickUp

I wouldn't! Made the right choice.
