Gong has higher accuracy in terms of call transcript and better brand reliability and sentiment, compared to Chorus by ZoomInfo and Kaia by Outreach. In addition, it is easier to use and share with team compared to other competitors. We also didnt want to have vendor lock-in ā€¦

I haven't used Chorus by Zoom in some time, so I'm unsure if they have AI summaries that could compete with Gong.

Fathom was more intrusive where it had it's own box in Zoom. It looked like there was another person in the meeting with their camera off. Gong manages to record calls without being intrusive at all.

Currently we use Outreach for all our outbounding. The tool allows us to create email sequences, set up meetings and helps with customer profile when prospecting. We will be switching from Outreach to Gong next week and I am excited to see what the capabilities are to help with ā€¦

We compared Gong, Chorus, and ExecVision (now part of Mediafly), and chose Gong because it appeared to be the most comprehensive and simplest to use.

Gong is ultimately superior with its product offerings and the service that it can provide to the team. Its functionality, ease of use, simple user interface, and accessibility has been proven superior over the other products. My organization has been using Gong since the start ā€¦

I think gong's main advantage is the multiple use cases and how it helps so many different user groups.

If Gong had a strong sequencing tool then I could see me using that over Outreach but for now I need to use a separate tool for prospecting efforts.

Showpad is similar to Gong but it doesn't offer the conversation analysis (like a deal stage, what the conversation is about, etc). It doesn't give you tips for follow-up. It also doesn't tell you your performance (i.e. patience, monologuing, etc). So it's fine for recording ā€¦

The transcription/recording tools in Gong.io have been stronger from what I have seen.

1. Intuitive UI, easy to set up, and quick adoption.
2. More visibility on reporting.
3. Trackers to identify or group certain product calls for feedback. Helps a lot while customizing deal flow.

SalesHood has training information in it that my company has uploaded - but it does not have recordings or breakdowns of my calls.

They are different - haven't really investigated other tools much. Gong.io is reasonable priced and works well[.]

  1. It had a better customer support team
  2. It had a better overall UI/UX

We found that Outreach was superior to Salesloft and Gong, and a better fit for our organization for the following reasons:
  • User interface and overall experience: it's just a cleaner platform and easier to work in than the other two.
  • Feature set: the other two tools had more ā€¦

I prefer Salesloft over Outreach. Even though the functionalities and features are very similar if not identical, I find Salesloft easier to navigate and understand. The analytics in Salesloft also seem more complete and visually more appealing. Salesloft's deal dashboard is ā€¦

Outreach is just as good as their competitors and from what I understand is much cheaper than some of them. I wasn't part of the buying process, but it seemed to happen pretty quickly so the decision makers in my company must have been impressed enough to make the decision to ā€¦

Gong is great for Sales people trying to capture all details with customer engagement, so it is ideal in that industry. I am not sure if Gong would be as strong of a tool if you are in Law or Finance there might be privacy concerns around what is said and stored.

It feels like Outreach has an opportunity to impress the sales world, but is not investing money in the functionality of the platform. I like what is there, but much of it has areas where tweaking would be extremely helpful. I would be happy to walk someone through areas where things could be improved. - What if I wanted to see a report on my priority 1 accounts and show a list of those contacts not touched in the past month. - Or what about bringing in Salesforce fields to help with sorting and filtering.

  • Next steps summary- helping me tie up my meeting with action items after the fact.
  • Call statistics let me know how frequently everyone is speaking and where patience can be practiced in allowing others to speak.

  • Organization - I know when to make calls/emails/LinkedIn connections without having to overthink anything.
  • Alignment - the colleagues I work with on my accounts can keep tabs on my activity so there is no redundancy or overcommunication.
  • Ease of use - all my contacts are in one place, and sending automated emails I have built in my sequences give me so much time back in my day.

  • It could use a predefined follow-up email template and populate the predefined fields or questions.
  • It could ask you when to start recording (on Zoom) instead of doing it at some awkward random moment.
  • It sometimes misses the speaker when creating a transcript.

  • Sequence Rules can become quite complicated (Often run into errors when trying to add a prospect and hard to determine why)
  • Gmail side bar drawer is hit or miss if it works or not to show relevant contact info
  • Response to inmails from prospects won't stop your sequence

It's got a solid infrastructure; it doesn't take too much time to understand how it works, and it can get many of the features up and running fairly quickly. It's pretty intuitive to use most of it, although some features might require a deeper dive. Sometimes, I find myself clicking through a million screens to get a report.

Outreach has a high degree of flexibility, but that comes with a need to invest time to understand the product. It will take some time to match CRM fields with Outreach and set up the two-way sync so that data captured by the users is available for subsequent marketing or sales efforts (or disqualifying leads or managing verbal opt-out requests)

There is almost zero customer support. What they do offer is a live chat feature which is active during "normal" business hours which is nice for instant inquiries if someone is available. However, you do not have a dedicated representative to address questions or concerns and their billing process is confusing and messy without any support.

Lots of attention from the Outreach training team, with a great willingness to customize to our needs. To be clear, you get out what you put in. If you don't work with them, you'll get cookie-cutter training. But we asked for a lot of customization, and they delivered what we asked for.

The chorus is good, but Gong is a little better in every aspect. But not much. Outreach's AI is pretty good and helps with live training and feedback. I think many of the solutions are comparable; at that point, it's about what's in your current tech stack and how to avoid overlap. In my situation, we already have Hubspot, so Outreach was not required.

  • It saves me time from having to attend every client call, especially since most of my team is 3 hours ahead of me, so I have limited time to join their calls to begin with.

  • The huge positive impact it had was the team not needing to spend as much time as disengaged opps as they were engaged ones. We were able to set sequences to work with them while the team could focus on generating new leads or converting Opps.
  • For an AE - post demo communication is important. With templates and snippets we could just click a few buttons and have a really nice email sent out with the relevant information and then the next several steps already planned out. This freed up time for us and even allowed us to take calls a lot sooner after demo's then before. For busy days this was very helpful.
