Cohesity is being used across the entire organization for data backups, protection, and part of our disaster recovery options. We replicate backups across sites and archive to the cloud. It is also used for temporary development and test environments.

If you are looking for a backup infrastructure which is efficient and compatible for both file system and block level backup, then HPE StoreOnce is a great choice. It's easy to configure and easy to manage. We didn't have to hire a separate storage expert to set up StoreOnce for us. The HPE team ...

Rubrik is being used organization-wide. It helps us with backup deliverables for our critical and major systems. It is also used for disaster recovery for our virtual machine servers. Knowing that we are secure, and have a backup, makes us sleep better at night.

We are using Starwind's VTL to Backblaze B2 software which augments Veeam's ability to offload existing backups to a tape library. This allows for easy de-duplication and compression of backups to a virtual tape library. Starwind's software basically makes a bridge between Veeam and B2 storage by...

HPE StoreOnce is well suited for backup an infrastructure that can accommodate a few hours for a total backup. It is quite suitable for your disaster recovery plan for your backups. We are currently using it with Veeam and Oracle products.

Rubrik is the primary backup product we use. It is currently used to backup our virtual infrastructure running on VMWare. Our backup is stored on Rubrik Briks and also archived to S3 Storage. Overall the product is rock solid with great features. Other than our primary backup solution this is als...

We have a wide variety of Dell SANS across our estate, ranging from Dell EqualLogics, Compellents and MD (FC and iSCSI) shelves. We recently purchased the SRM module for Orion to integrate with Solarwinds DPA and NPM. Its made a huge difference in terms of visibility and linking up with performan...

SolarWinds Backup is well suited for MSPs as a solution for backing up their customer servers. This is ideal if you are already a SolarWinds customer and are using some of their other products such as the RMM. We have not yet deployed it in scenarios that require having a standby server or contin...

We were using an antique version of Symantec Backup Exec at the time and realized with our global footprint growing, we needed a superior solution that would not only provide better backup functionality but also the scope to replicate our live environment. Arcserve Backup and Replication is now u...

Veritas Self Service is a user-friendly and simple interface where the user can choose from the pre-defined backup policy. … For a new backup administrator, it may pose a challenge to configure advanced features, as to enable the features it requires to go in-depth into settings which are ...

We are using Veritas NetBackup to manage our backups and offsite data information. I am able to assign specific tapes to a storage unit, track offsite retention, and keep all my backups organized. Since we have all the policies and protection jobs configured, all I need to do is prep the tapes th...

It is well suited for our medium-sized environment where we have different storage arrays some have better performance than others. I can't imagine that it would be needed with a small environment where you only have 1 storage array or are not monitoring performance of the servers on different ar...

We ourselves use it for backup, and have multiple customers that use Rubrik Edges / nodes and we replicate the data from them. Replication is pretty easy to set up.

After the Rubrik appliances were racked and connected, it only took less than 2 hours to deploy Rubrik and also to configure the environment ready to start backing up data. The Rubrik appliances use Erasure Encoding for redundancy, and it also maintains itself, self heals, and optimises. Rubrik e...

We use Cohesity to backup our entire infrastructure as well as replicate to our DR location. The ability to use it for secondary storage in an emergency outage was a major plus to the purchase. CloudBerry is a great solution to backup a server or workstation to either the cloud, locally or both. I installed it on two servers a couple of years ago and have had VERY good results with it. I backup those servers both locally to an in-house NAS and to AWS for offsite cloud backups. This soft...

We don't use all the features that it can provide but find it an affordable backup solution which just works. To be honest we leave it alone until we need it or when we make changes to our VMware platform which means we just need to update to the latest version of NAKIVO which is fairly straightf...

Avamar is an object-oriented backup but works better with medium/big sized objects than small sized objects. … Avamar does not have the Hot Backup functionality, this is why Avamar works better with big/medium sized document repository and does not work well for ECM environments.
