What is Coveo Qubit?

Coveo Qubit (acquired October 2021) uses rich visitor data to understand different user segments and serve personalized messages to audience segments using JavaScript. It is available on either a managed or self-service model.

Data is collected using Qubit’s own QProtocol data layer, or by integrating the user’s existing model via our API. Quantitative visitor behavioral data is combined with qualitative visitor feedback and ingested data from Qubit users' other systems of record enabling them to identify areas of the site and customer groups to optimize and target with personalization experiences.

Using JavaScript means that changes do not have to be hard-coded into the site, giving marketers and ecommerce teams greater power to implement changes outside of the development cycle.

Users can A/B test any changes to their site using Qubit, and the user interface lets them know what the test results are.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I've been testing a few other solutions recently to be up to date with what is in the market and what you can have instead. I've even tried to use free google optimise and google analytics. I couldn't find a better solution and there was always something wrong. Qubit is not cheapest solution, but definitely is worth the money.

Qubit is currently providing resources and support we do not have internally. Our relationship managers are exceptional and I feel well informed and well supported by their team. The tool is nice, but our contacts from the company are the real reason to maintain our relationship. They work hard for clarity and continue to help us push for additional opportunities.

If I were the sole decision maker, I would definitely renew. I consider Qubit an integral part of helping deliver effective campaigns, optimising website assets and providing analysis that helps us understand our customers better.

Over the seven months we have worked with Qubit we have tried many tests - but most of our most exciting plans are still ahead of us. The longer Qubit is on site, the more complete an impression we build of our visitors - and the more accurately and efficiently we can serve personalised content to them.

Obviously budget plays a factor and I think Qubit are excellent on this front as they are able to adapt to meet our needs. Providing we continue to be happy with the gains we are making and we receive a return on our investment, then we will extend our contract.

Qubit does require a fair bit of monetary investment and people to manage and implement the campaigns. However the account management and the engineers at Qubit are great at helping organise and build campaigns.

Qubit helps out immensely and lays out in plain English the profitability of each of our A-B tests. Say Qubit has provided us overall with a 5% profit increase this year (that is a completely arbitrary figure for illustration only), then if we didn't renew it could be seen as us taking a 5% loss as Qubit wouldn't be there. The results of our tests are showing no slowing down and as Qubit and Toast grow to understand each other better we can only see our performance getting better as the years go on.

We are thinking about adding new Qubit products to our portfolio in order to be able to target customers based on their behavior. As a online retailer entering new markets, we believe Qubit can help us in customizing our content for different market needs.

We need to see more wins for tests, which I'm hoping to see with the few tests we've got lined up soon. The initial successful tests have been extremely beneficial, but haven't seen many more winners since then.
