Google Chat is the only application that I use that compares to Dialpad in a small way. Dialpad and chat are both message sending and receiving applications but Dialpad also allows me to call people on the phone. Dialpad is helpful at finding employee phone numbers as it integrates with active directory.

Dialpad is much more robust for outside communication, with many more features. We use Slack for inhouse development meetings and daily workgroup chat. Slack will crash or freeze at times, a problem we've never had with Dialpad. The Dialpad interface is more user friendly and professional looking. As we are a software company, when we hold online training, if the meeting software is not up to par, customers wonder about the quality of our software. We need a reliable professional interface that does not require participants from outside to create an account or download software.

The only other similar product we've used was Google voice. Dialpad has must better customer support and training opportunities. It also collects extensive communication records and provides a screen share option during one-on-one calls. This program is designed and supported in a profession manner with appropriate encryption for public schools; Google voice was deemed unsafe for routine communication with students.

Dialpad might not be the cheapest option, however, when it comes to reliability is top notch, other phone system providers may
offer a comprehensive suite of services unifying CRM, Chat and Phones. Where Dialpad excels is the adoption of Artificial Intelligence for several of its services, likewise, its API is set to work with Zapier and other automation platforms, which expands even further its features.

We used Nextiva for several years as our main VoIP Phone solution. The system was reliable but the software is nowhere near as user friendly.. It is night and day and is the main reason we switched. You need a degree in Nextiva's platform to be able to make changes to your call routing and call center set ups.

We have not used other alternatives for this service. Dialpad works well for our needs and so far it is working for everyone now that we have figured out the synching issue mentioned earlier in this review. We do use Discord for internal calls and staff messages, but those needs are very different. We also use Teams for corporate meetings but we are not a fan.

Dialpad has way more services and the chat-to-text feature so we can reread anything that was misconstrued is a great feature. The connection with Nextiva wasn't reliable and the service was more expensive. Also Dialpad's customer service is so much better, they are so quick to reply and help with any issues.

Works really well, there is a delay while using the phone but it isn't terrible. The mobile app seems a little buggy and feels like it lags at times but doesn't drastically impede operation. It's a great choice for a company with about 100 employees, easily manageable and quick to set up.
