DocuSign is used to facilitate the execution of all sales and listing documents. As a Broker, I will also use it for escrow paperwork, such as commission instructions and orders to pay commission, and company forms, like employment agreements and other initial hire paperwork.
  • Mobile app.
  • Intuitive: easy for clients to use.
  • Interfaces with RPR and other real estate software.
  • Interface with other transaction software
  • More security options
  • More storage options
DocuSign is equipped to handle all eSigning scenarios: listing paperwork, sales and counter paperwork and lending disclosures like initial disclosures and lock extensions. It interfaces with our MLS so property information can be populated directly into forms without being entered manually. The software is rarely down or unavailable, a necessity for real estate.

I use DocuSign mainly for real estate contract signatures but it has come in handy for other needs. It has been a big time saver from having to drive around to get documents signed.
  • Ability to use a good phone app
  • Cloud storage of completed documents is handy
  • Easy to follow, website is not cluttered
  • Editing documents is cumbersome at times.
  • There are competitors with better pricing.
  • Gets hung up on occasion.
  • Doesn't integrate with our real estate software like other platforms do.
It's a great real estate application, the phone app is handy. I can't use it on forms that require a notary at this time. Most of our clients are able to navigate it.

DocuSign is used across our organization. The main job it does is help with managing agreements and signing them. Most of our employees travel a lot so the ability to sign documents and agreements via tablet, phone or any other mobile device is important for the success of our organization.
  • eSignature
  • Sign electronically from any device
  • Document management
  • High subscription fee
I cannot think of a scenario where DocuSign would be less appropriate but where it will fit perfectly is when our reps travel and we sign different documents like reseller agreements, purchase orders, evaluation agreements, demo agreements. We can have all that signed on the spot and managed from one place.

We are currently using DocuSign for the processing of sales agreements.
  • Seamless integrations with other platforms.
  • One-click sending of agreements or contracts.
  • Expiration dates on agreements/contracts to create urgency.
  • Creating and importing of templates.
It solves the problem of not having to fax, email, and or trying to track down these agreements and then having to then upload and or deliver to other departments. Sending and receiving the agreement has become a very time efficient and with just a click of a button. It also automates the escalation to other departments for approval and project deployment with seamless integrations with other platforms ie. Salesforce. We can also create urgency by leveraging the automated expirations dates of the agreements/contracts which increase our close rates. Huge plus! Overall, the ROI is there hands down both on time and money.

It is used in our Recruiting, Sales, and Account Management divisions. It addresses using digital forms instead of paper forms, which makes it much easier to track as well as save the information quickly and easily. We use the forms for clients and candidates, and it automatically goes to the next person that needs to review and sign the form(s) once the previous signer is done. It's a time saver and eliminates paper waste as well.
  • It tracks documents and their progress.
  • Eliminates the need for faxing and paper waste.
  • It's easy to view where the digital paper trail is.
  • You can add/delete documents easily.
  • There have been some technical difficulties accessing signed forms.
  • Allowing the client to change the format of some of the forms would be helpful.
  • Having the option to add more recipients who can sign documents.
In our case, we have hundreds of different clients who want us to have our candidates sign their specific forms for a particular position they are being hired for. DocuSign allowed us to separate the forms by client, so we just send out that package to the candidates for that specific client.
We have designated signers, also based on the client, and DocuSign allows us to enter their name and an email will automatically be sent to that signer when it's their turn to sign the documents.

I have used Docusign in different roles and different industries, for different purposes, at different companies throughout my career. From my varied experience, one thing was very consistent: DocuSign is a great tool that has been easy for me and my colleagues and clients to use, and it is the perfect tool to solve document management and document execution (signing by all parties).
  • It's a very easy to use tool, with strong customer-minded design with virtually no “down” time needed for onboarding new users/learning.
  • It's easy to send documents out for execution/signature to clients, tenants, employees, colleagues, business associates, etc.
  • A cost-effective solution for any organization.
  • Seriously, none. I love the tool and it solves all of the problems I need it to, rather seamlessly.
It has been extremely well suited for me in the following roles:
1) as landlord and property manager, preparing leases for tenants to sign for apartment rentals.
2) as real estate agents, preparing agreements of sale for clients to sign and sellers to execute.
3) as a project manager, it's an easy tool to facilitate change requests or statements of work with clients.

We have contractors all over the world, and DocuSign allows us to manage contracts, amendments, and terminations quickly, easily, and securely. We also use this for employment contracts in the USA and South Africa, as well as service level agreements, office rental agreements, and other partner forms. It makes the signing and importantly, storing, of important documents an absolute breeze.
  • Ease of signing documents.
  • Safe storage of documents.
  • Customization.
  • Repeat fields could be a little easier to apply to documents.
Honestly, any time you need something signed, or even just filled in, DocuSign is a brilliant solution. It's especially helpful when you need multiple people to sign the same document -- you need to wait for each other or worry about printing, signing, and scanning. Everyone can sign it at their own pace, and all parties will be notified when the document is completed. A fully signed version of the document is then shared with each signatory.

DocuSign is used by our sales and operations team. We use it for both internal and external contract signing. We have been very satisfied with the web and mobile usage.
  • Easy to upload documents.
  • It's easy to use via a mobile app.
  • It's easy to save and share documents once signed, or when needed to be signed.
  • Sometimes it's slow to load.
  • The format can be a bit skewed at times.
  • Some docs are hard to upload.
DocuSign is well suited for contract, proposal, and other employment-related document signing.

DocuSign has been a great tool for getting contracts and agreements executed in a quick, simple method. We generally use it for sales, legal papers, shareholder agreements, and advanced vendor agreements. The main business problems it is solving are that it keeps a complete record of all signed documents with day/time stamps, and it expedites the sales process.
  • Simple sign up process.
  • Simple set up for a user to begin using for their agreements.
  • A record and history of all documents.
  • You can send agreements from anywhere.
  • It could have a better tutorial for new users.
  • It's not terrible by any means, but I always believe the UX can be improved and iterated over time.
  • Possibly a text message alert once a document has been signed by the other party.
The efficiency of DocuSign is its true power, I believe. No more printing, signing, scanning and then sending back. Salespeople love this product because it's so simple for them to get the sign-off on an agreement. It's simple to use for the end-user. At $25 for the Standard plan, it's certainly well worth the time saved. You never want to give your prospect time to change their mind, and if they are not in the office, you have to wait for them to come back and send back.

DocuSign is currently integrated with Salesforce and being used for all B2B and B2B2C contract needs within the organization. It greatly speeds up our signed contracts process and allows service fulfillment steps to get triggered automatically. The ability to map custom fields from the contract back to the Salesforce object is extremely useful. I can't imagine how long it would take if the team had to reference the contract documents themselves for that key metadata.
  • Integration with Salesforce.
  • Templating and custom fields.
  • A great dashboard and ease of use when building new documents.
  • Debugging utilities when the Salesforce integration doesn't work.
  • Better error messages and a better log of errors connected with contracts when syncing to Salesforce.
  • The admin dashboard experience can be confusing and unintuitive.
I think DocuSign is a great tool for any organization that deals with contracts more than once a week. If the organization utilizes Salesforce, using DocuSign would be an excellent business solution with a positive ROI. Managing the platform and end-users is very straightforward. Additionally, their support is very good. I've had to reach out several times a year over the last three years and have had good, very helpful experiences each time. Out of all the B2B vendors I have ever worked with, I would rate DocuSign's support near the top.

DocuSign was used at our organization to be able to have professors easily sign contracts digitally when we were partnering with them to publish their books on our platform. It was also used to sign employee contracts digitally and update employee contracts for promotions, raises, etc. Docusign solved a huge problem for us by making signatures easy, safe, and secure.
  • DocuSign is very easy and intuitive to use. Once you send 1 or 2 contracts it becomes second nature
  • DocuSign does a great job of tracking and managing documents/contracts.
  • DocuSign's UI is very nice to work in. There are some other digital signature platforms that just seem archaic.
  • There are some technical issues that come with the platform, but to be expected when dealing with software. i.e. crashes, software being slow.
  • Hard to get a really neat and tidy signature due to the electronic nature of the platform.
  • Customer service can be iffy at times, and if you are not an enterprise customer there is not much support (when offering free versions this should be expected).
DocuSign is very well suited for large organizations that work in very transactional spaces. Being able to easily put together contracts safely and securely really helps in getting signature back from clients faster. The ease of use for our clients is huge and also helps with obtaining signatures on contracts. DocuSign can really be used at any company, but I would say 200+ employee companies is what it makes the most sense for.

DocuSign is being used to get client signatures on service contracts. It makes it quick and easy to get signatures for contract when time is important. The client finds it super easy to use and set their signature. DocuSign is really a great tool for easy to use signature needs!
  • Easy to use, user-friendly.
  • Excellent value for the money.
  • Saves paper, saves trees!
  • Occasionally someone may sign but forget the complete button.
  • No other cons, Docusign rocks!
When you need documents signed quickly and efficiently, Docusign makes it easy and simple. Getting signatures is quicker than waiting for a hand signed document to be sent back to you, especially if the signer forgets. DocuSign makes it so they can sign quickly, right then and there with no hassle.

At Optiv, we use DocuSign for any legal, HR documents. The HR department sent the documents to me during my onboarding and it was a pretty smooth process. It is better as opposed to sending employment letters, etc. through USPS. I think the main problem it solves is streamlining the process and the speed of the process.
  • Speed
  • Streamlined process
  • Easy to use
  • Some people are uncomfortable with e-signing
  • Not appropriate for every industry
  • May face some reluctant people
I think Docusign is really well suited for any employee working remotely that who needs to sign a lot of documents during the onboarding process. Another situation would be to sign any employment letters and such. I don't know how much it is appropriate for the legal industry and the formal document that lawyers send.

DocuSign is used for all of Geopointe's signable documents which extend from the sales to the legal team. I use it for all of my personal order management, It makes it easy for our prospects (soon to be customers) to agree to our terms and move forward with purchasing decisions quickly.
  • Streamlines the sales process by making it easy for prospects to sign contracts.
  • Streamlines the legal review process by making it easy for signers to agree to terms.
  • Makes it easy for me to generate sign-able orders which saves time!
  • Documents could be easier to edit after generation.
DocuSign is well suited for generating contracts and sending them to potential customers. This makes it so much easier for them to sign rather than relying on the tools they may or may not have for document management. I feel like this alone has sped up my sales process to the point where I do not think I could effectively do my job without it.

We use DocuSign for completing new hire offer letters, NDAs and sales contracts efficiently. We're able to intuitively upload documents for signature and set up workflows for each signer. It's particularly beneficial for us to have the ability to route to our VP for final signature only once all other parties have completed their signatures. That way, we're not bothering our VP in case any revisions need to be made.
  • It's intuitive. Anyone can easily execute contracts from their computer or mobile device.
  • It seems really secure. I like how each signature gets a digital code associated with it.
  • It's robust enough where you can set up signing order and other workflows to fit your business process.
  • It's reliable - I don't think I've ever noticed a bug.
  • I wish multiple people could be alerted when the signer views the contract.
  • I wish the validity date feature was easier to understand and/or offered the ability to get more granular (specify at what hour it's voided).
  • I wish the completed document could automatically be attached in a deal in the CRM system.
I think DocuSign is really well suited for most use cases. It's pretty intuitive to use on the sender side, and really simple on the signer side. I've never had a problem with a customer getting confused how to execute a signature - which is obviously critical in sales!

While DocuSign is pretty simple on the sender side, I think it might be a little overkill for the most basic contracts and use cases. With that said, it's not difficult to learn whatsoever so even the most basic technology user should get the hang of it within a few minutes.

DocuSign is being used by our organization to deliver and sign employment letters to employees. Our HR staff compiles employment letters once the board approves salary increases and raises, then creates the employment letters. Employees receive an email asking them to sign their employment letters through DocuSign. Employees create a digital signature and can access their employment letter throughout the year. DocuSign automatically makes certain links to documents expire to keep them secure and will send a new document link to a user's email upon request.
  • Eliminates scanning documents once signed.
  • Easy to implement.
  • Saves time with onboarding new employees.
  • Could be easier to integrate into existing software used by companies.
DocuSign is well-suited for any HR department to ease onboarding, to send out employment letters, or send documents to sign. DocuSign is also well-suited for any business that requires customer signatures on contracts. It holds all of this information and eliminates the cumbersome process of printing, signing, scanning, and sending back.

It started out being used by just myself, then after showing my company how easy it was to use and how it benefited not only our company but the parents, students, and other organizations we work with, it was a no brainer. My company decided to begin using DocuSign throughout. It has been a wonderful addition to our company and saved me (and others) countless hours, money, and relieved a lot of stress in getting our documents signed quickly and efficiently. Sometimes I have to give a bit of direction to the people/organizations we send DocuSign to, but overall, it is very simple for everyone to use.
  • Ease of sending the same document out to multiple recipients, at multiple locations, for multiple signatures
  • Quick turnaround - once the recipient signs the document, we receive notification and the document back immediately
  • Can resend, alter, change, and/or add to the email and/or document that is sent out very easily
  • The recipient can save the document after signing, so they too have their own electronic copy for their records
  • Until you get used to the size/area for signatures, you can accidentally overcrowd the signature area if there are multiple signatures
  • Some recipients have stated that they have no problem with the signature or date sections, but are confused as to how to navigate to a check a box
  • Until I played around with the program, I didn't see any specific instruction that told me I could just click a box and have multiple documents sent out in no particular order; at first, I thought they went out in the order I put them in. It took trial and error to learn that by clicking certain boxes, they can go out in any order, and then I can just remind one or two people to sign, not everyone
Where several of our companies facilities are located, we are very remote on military bases. So, using regular postal service to get our paperwork out wasn't a good option and was very time-consuming. It also wasn't very secure or a 'sure thing' that the paperwork would get to where it needed to go. So, DocuSign is a HUGE timesaver and money saver. Our parents can't come to our site, so we needed an efficient way to get our paperwork signed within our legal timeframe without being near the recipients. DocuSign fit the bill, and we love it!

I work in the sales department of a company. DocuSign provides a smooth process for necessary business transactions with all clients. Many SMB are not tech savvy and it simplifies the flow. It can even be utilized on PCs, tablets, or mobile phones. Documents are always accounted for and recorded. DocuSign speeds the collaboration of document editing for multiple-location departments. Without it, I would not be able to complete contracts to close deals. The program is very user-friendly! Easy to train users & easy for signers - instructions are straightforward.
  • DocuSign is convenient & usable on any iPhone, Android, laptop or tablet.
  • Integration with Salesforce and other media platforms.
  • Provides a better customer experience & closes deals faster.
  • Easy to use UI.
  • Custom signatures when signing... Personal touch points close deals.
  • Ease of changing signers.
DocuSign is a somewhat affordable, necessary solution for any business looking to simplify signatures for electronic documents. It is useful for signature/approval on certain forms to move forward in sales to secure payment. The time saved using the DocuSign is another positive. It makes the process simple for someone to sign on the spot and eliminates the need for documents to be faxed back and forth. It is legally binding and secure, so there is no doubt whether or not the agreement will be honored.

DocuSign provides me the ability to make digital signatures and I can well manage all my digital transactions.
  • Supports multiple languages which is a good feature.
  • Helps me create digital signatures with a proper alignment of all the alphabets used in the signing.
  • User interface is quite intuitive. The name is enough to understand the functionality i.e. digital signatures for documents.
  • There should be few pre designed templates so that it can save a user’s time.
  • By far, my experience has been good with DocuSign. There’s nothing specific to be mentioned as a con.
Suppose there are multiple documents that need digital signatures. DocuSign has given me everything I need in such cases.

I've used DocuSign on and off with several different companies over the years. It is used to get signed contracts from clients and completed applications across the organization. It's been a convenient tool for getting signatures from individuals from anywhere, at any time. It is an easy-to-use, straightforward program. It's simple to get new users within the company up and running with the software.
  • DocuSign eliminates the need to print documents to sign, rescan, and send back. It is an easy tool to get quick signatures, while saving some trees in the process!
  • The software is very secure for users, making it less stressful to send documents with sensitive information. The system also provides great storage and archives for these documents.
  • The program is very user-friendly. Easy to get new users up and running. It's also easy for signers - instructions are straightforward. DocuSign is also one of the easier programs to use when trying to send documents to multiple programs.
  • DocuSign is usable on any phone, laptop or tablet - convenient for the variety of users we have.
  • Although UI is user-friendly, it's a bit boring. There are few customization options.
  • Costly - this is the main complaint. If you are not signing/sending a lot of documents, it may not be worth the cost. The lower level packages have fewer features, which makes the unworthy of the cost.
  • Emails often go to spam, or end users think they are spam, given how the templates look. This can slow the signing process, which can be frustrating.
DocuSign is well suited for companies that can afford to spend the money on a secure, easy-to-use program that can handle a large amount of documents. It saves employees the need to print and scan documents. With it being a leading software in the industry, clients are also likely to know the name and have few apprehensions about signing virtual contracts.

If your organization sends a small number of contracts, I would recommend looking into a cheaper/free option. DocuSign has great features, but at a pretty high price.

I have used DocuSign in this and my previous role for signing of contracts for new clients. It is a fast and easy way to send over agreement, which saves me tons of time and headaches.
  • It integrates beautifully into my processes and makes it very easy to use seamlessly.
  • It's easy to use and intuitive. If you can use Word and email, you can use DocuSign.
  • Love all the notification options and automatic reminders.
  • I would love more signature styles
  • Sometimes the fields to be filled out/signed are off the proper positioning. Can be a little annoying.
If you have any sorts of documents that require a signature by the opposing party, DocuSign can help eliminate paper, delays in mailing, and streamline the whole operation. This is what a paperless office would be based on if we would every have a paperless office.

DocuSign is our official document authorization signature software across the entire organization. From hiring externally, to processing documents for clientele, DocuSign makes business transactions easy and official.
  • Integration with Salesforce and other platforms.
  • Accessibility over mobile phone.
  • User interface is extremely simple to navigate
  • Aestically, the platform could use some work.
  • More colors and visually appealing functionality.
  • There are some components of the signature process that would be nice to have customized. (Signature lines, etc., which might be doable but I can’t figure it out)
Sending contracts to clients via DocuSign to reinstate or establish new business partnerships is the perfect time to use DocuSign.

We use DocuSign nearly daily to easily transfer signatures for transaction closings. This even allows us to transfer signatures in real time with escrow agents, all purchase parties and consultants with complete ease. We also appreciate that we can send the pages to clients with DocuSign's simple signing instructions to avoid confusion.
  • Efficiency.
  • User friendly.
  • Various functions.
  • Signature styles.
  • Signature tracking in bulk.
  • Signature page creation.
Very well suited for small to large scale signature sharing between multiple parties. We use this for our closings of large-scale private equity mergers and acquisitions and all sides appreciate the efficiency and ease of use that is so typical to DocuSign's products -- truly the leader in the eSignature industry.

Docusign provides an incredibly smooth flow for getting documents signed. We work with many clients who aren't tech savvy and Docusign simplifies the process more than the competitors I've used. The process is equally smooth on pcs, tablets, or mobile phones. Everything is tracked and easily recorded for your records.
  • Easy to navigate.
  • Available on all devices.
  • Trustworthy.
  • Multiple signatories.
  • Cost is higher than others.
  • Smaller package really doesn't have many features at all.
If someone wants the process to be as streamlined as possible and regularly signs a lot of documents than I think DocuSign is perfect. If cost is a concern, there are alternatives that do a decent job but some aren't quite as streamlined as DocuSign for non-techy users.

We use DocuSign to manage offer letters and other employment documents that need to be signed by multiple parties. It is used by our HR department but I am not aware of it being used by other departments within the organization. We use it to save time and to make sure we have a streamlined process.
  • It's easy to setup and implement, even if you are not very good with technology.
  • It provides a great user experience for the other party involved.
  • It automatically provides final documents to both parties.
  • It would be helpful if DocuSign plugged into different software that we use internally.
DocuSign is great for small businesses that need a fast and secure eSignature tool that can be implemented and used quickly. It can scale with a business. It can also be used for personal reasons or for entrepreneurs. It's a smart way to go paperless and DocuSign has both signing parties in mind when it comes to the user interface.
