The vendor states their platform has 350+ prebuilt integrations with popular business apps. In addition, its API enables embedding and connecting DocuSign with customers’ websites, mobile apps, and custom workflows. They boast more than 500,000 customers and hundreds of millions of users in over 180 countries, using DocuSign to accelerate the process of doing business and to simplify people's lives.

DocuSign Will Save You Time
- Ease of signature collection effort (fewer steps, fewer location/technology/knowledge requirements)
- Speed of signature collection (from transmission to signature to receipt of signature)
- Ease of user account management (administrative function)
- Tracking, particularly when collecting signatures through connected applications, such as an ATS, is not always clean or easily traceable.
- Formatting documents to handle electronic signature types (signatures, initials, etc.) is not always easy, and highly dependent on the partner's technology.
- It is not convenient to have to use DocuSign as a stand alone product if the signatures are required for 3rd party applications. It definitely excels on its own, but the scope of that usage, at least for us, is slim.
- Electronic signature
- Signature fields for 3rd party documents
- This has cut our signature collection time by 70%
- Electronic storage of signed documents has given us a secure backup for sensitive data
- Need for electronic signature
- Distance between requestor and signature provider
- Lack of scanning/faxing/etc ability for signer for a wet signature
- Electronically secured/stored signed documents
- Policy sign offs
- Formal Acknowledgements (policy, disciplinary actions, annual review)
- Job Offer signatures
- Pre Background Check Screening Authorizations
- I'm not sure. I'd be curious to see other ways companies are using the technology.

Once expectations were in place we created templates
Then we added the users and me as the admin
Then we went live.
It was fast fast fast, and we were up and running in no time. The longest part was the document configuration for 3rd party email templates.
- User error
- 3rd party integration slips (on 3rd party, not DocuSign)
- Online training
- Document Status Monitoring
- Reporting and Filtering
- Document Management
- Integrating fields in 3rd party software, due to instability in the 3rd party platform, not DocuSign
- Easy to implement
- No training needed on use!
- Other clients and vendors use so it's seamless
- Super easy to add additional users across the company
- We have not found any ways to improve yet! (Just rolled out in the past 6 months, but so far, so good!)
- Eliminates the need for multiple paper copies
- Eliminates the need to scan copies
- No need to save copies in multiple places on a server or personal files
- Much more secure and legally binding than previous methods of getting signed copies when needed
- Much quicker turnaround on sending and receiving signed copies
- Licensing
- Contracts
- Human Resources
- Accounting and finance
- Our licensing team is able to ensure assumptive agreements are executed, often on a rush basis
- Our HR team can share and return benefits documents quickly when there is a need
- Talent contracts can be executed on site if needed
- Benefits enrollment time
- Payroll changes

Reviews were important to us especially from clients and vendors who use the same product
- Implemented in-house
- finding out everyone who could use effectively -- still adding users after 6 months
- Easy to sign up and learn how to use
- Easy to share
- Easy to save signed documents
- No question if a signed document is legally binding
- None so far!!
Easy to use for personal and business use
- Ease of sending the same document out to multiple recipients, at multiple locations, for multiple signatures
- Quick turnaround - once the recipient signs the document, we receive notification and the document back immediately
- Can resend, alter, change, and/or add to the email and/or document that is sent out very easily
- The recipient can save the document after signing, so they too have their own electronic copy for their records
- Until you get used to the size/area for signatures, you can accidentally overcrowd the signature area if there are multiple signatures
- Some recipients have stated that they have no problem with the signature or date sections, but are confused as to how to navigate to a check a box
- Until I played around with the program, I didn't see any specific instruction that told me I could just click a box and have multiple documents sent out in no particular order; at first, I thought they went out in the order I put them in. It took trial and error to learn that by clicking certain boxes, they can go out in any order, and then I can just remind one or two people to sign, not everyone
- Save money on postage and supplies.
- Saved time having to mail, wait for the mail to return, return it again if not done properly, and every other bad scenario that could happen - DocuSign has fixed them all.
- Being able to get my paperwork done in an extremely time efficient manner - a most important aspect when we have time frame laws to abide by and can't afford to be missed.
- Special Education documentation
- Administrative documents
- Contracts
- Simple one-page documents such as revocations, addendums, and logs
- Also used it to date/time stamp certain SPED documents
- Not sure - started as a strictly Special Education necessity
- Placing the signature box and date box where needed
- Sending to multiple recipients
- Adding a check box
- Finding out how to NOT have the emails sent out in a particular order - found out through trial and error
- Placing multiple signature lines close together without overlapping, causing us not to be able to read the signatures
- Directing recipients how to correctly check a box
No more "its in the mail"
We started to look for an e-signature solution to help streamline internal processes within the HR group. We built systems that relied heavily on the POWERFORM modules. What started out as a way for other departments to provide necessary information to the HR group soon became "the way" for interdepartmental communications. We totally eliminated missing and tardy information and were able to produce efficiencies within the company that produced savings in excess of $80k for the first year.
As our knowledge grew and we and our peers became more comfortable with docusign, we were able to expand on our uses, especially in the HR realm. We started with simple change forms for position, reporting structure and pay and ended up moving to taking our entire new hire process paperless. This included everything from the offer letter to pre employment paperwork that the candidate would receive in their email box. For our employees we gave access to powerforms through a kiosk that allowed them to make changes to benefits, beneficiaries, emergency contacts, personal information such as address and phone number changes, suggestions, HR contact (complaint) - anonymously, and many more.
With building these processes we were able to transition into a paperless employee file environment. NO MORE PAPER.
- Support and training - There was always somewhere to go or someone to go to when there was a need for help. Not only that but the assistance was helpful.
- Thinking outside the box - we came up with some pretty crazy scenarios and workflows but never once was able to stump DocuSign.
- Ease of use - the mobile solution is great but we really relied on the DocuSign ink for outlook. So easy to use!!!
- I would love to see a better tie in with our active directory (external database) so we could code HTML to better feed the powerforms
- I'd like to possibly see a little better internal branding options. The look and feel is very docusign and isn't very customizable
- Process efficiency - we have and continue to save time and are able to maintain a "one right way" of doing things.
PowerForms were a big part of the decision to go with DocuSign. The fact that there was practically an unlimited size allowance of the workflow and approval for a form was a winner for us.
When comparing a couple of e-signature solutions the things that we felt Docusign did better were:
DocuSign for outlook
Mobile solution

Ease of use for non-company people
- New hire forms
- Position - manager - pay - change forms
- Vacation and time away from work requests
- PowerForms - PowerForms - PowerForms - PowerForms
- Docusign lead us to question how we managed employee files. We are now completely paperless
