I am not with a specialty contractor. Our company is a construction management firm.
  • Streamline your processes and procedures
  • Ease of use
  • Documentation all in one place
  • Visibility into different metrics/health of your job site
  • Trades complain about getting a lot of emails from Procore
  • Bulk editing submittals at times can be very difficult and time consuming
  • Change events are sometimes difficult to navigate back and forth between RFQs
Procore is very useful for tracking all daily activities that go on a construction site. Being able to import an excel sheet template for a punchlist generated by the architect is seamless and reduces data entry substantially. It sets up an easy way to track items and ensure they are getting resolved in a timely [manner.]

The submittal register tool from specs was a game-changer for creating submittal logs. This has allowed our company to create a somewhat standardized submittal log that keeps the log organized and easy to navigate throughout the project.

I use multiple Procore tools on a daily basis and couldn't imagine what it would be like going back to manual processes.

We use Procore for managing construction for public education projects, specifically the drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, photos, documents, punch list, and change orders tools. Procore helps us to provide a single source of accurate, up-to-date information for various project partners. It also provides very detailed record-keeping data that is effortless and stashed away in the background, but there if you ever need it.
  • Mobile app for phones and tablets is highly valuable for quickly accessing the latest info from the field.
  • Capturing photos and tagging locations on drawings for various issue types is easily accessible and transparent.
  • Fine-tuning of permission and access is available for any tool or any type of project partner.
  • Procore's core project mgmt tools are not 100% fine-tuned. They are very slow to progress while Procore is trying to tackle market share in other related markets. The core tools seem to be [a] low priority for further development, for this reason, I suspect.
  • The email notifications are way too frequent and often do not have preference adjustments. They become white noise and are often ignored for this reason...not good for alerting project partners to important items on Procore.
  • It has not development reliable quantity takeoff tools. Most basic.
Procore is best suited for larger construction projects with a lot of communications, project partners, and documents. I wouldn't recommend it for smaller projects that doesn't demand as much collaboration or documentation. The more data on a project, the more effective and efficient Procore becomes. It is too expensive a tool for very small businesses to bother adjusting to at this time.

I use Procore to help manage construction projects and keep open lines of communication with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and inspectors. I'm currently working on education/university-type projects as part of a master agreement with a local campus. I use Procore to process and manage submittals, RFI's, record meeting minutes, daily logs, document progress with notes and photos, as well as create as-builts.
  • RFI's - simple and effective way of communicating information with the project team.
  • Daily Logs - allows for users of various skill levels to accomplish a necessary task.
  • Submittals - provides a detailed and organized module for document control.
  • Meeting Minutes - this section can be clunky and not very user friendly at times.
Procore is very well suited for documenting progress in the field and keeping a detailed record of RFI's, submittals, drawings, and as-builts. Some areas of Procore are easier to use than others but for the most part, it allows multiple users of various skill levels the tools they need to complete their tasks successfully.

TerWisscha Construction is a General Contractor in the veterinary space that enhances lives through structure. Procore is a big part of who we are and what we do, as it helps us enhance our work, structure our proven process, and positively improve the lives of our clients as we help them realize their dream. Procore allows us to track and manage our projects in real-time with consistent, structured, and meaningful communication. Problem on the job site arises? Our superintendents can document the issue, provide details, snap pictures, and notify the home office within moments. Processes that used to take hours or even days to solve are now resolved within minutes and even seconds. Everything is captured and stored in one spot, granting our company a single source of truth for any and all information regarding our jobs. It houses our documents, punch list, change orders, invoices, drawings, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and so much more. Procore really is a no-brainer in the construction world now.
  • Captures historical data - Procore captures everything that's created, approved, edited, and even deleted so you can have access to a complete history of actions taken on items across your jobs. Having your historical data stored is so incredibly powerful and helpful.
  • Consistency! - Every project uses the same tools and structures. You have a one-stop-shop for everything you need. You can set up custom workflows if you want, and Procore's default ones are awesome too. Consistency is key to maintaining integrity in your work, and Procore provides this effortlessly!
  • All-around support! Procore doesn't just give you the tools and say "Good Luck!". They literally have an army of people willing to jump in and help you and your company succeed. Your account manager is always ready and willing to help, you can submit feedback at any time for any item or tool and they have a dedicated team that looks into that, and their support staff is outstanding!
  • While the support is amazing, the learning curve to grasp Procore is still pretty large. I do wish Procore was a little more user-friendly for first-time users - I think the UI could be a bit more intuitive. But once you get the hang of it, it truly is very easy to use!
  • Procore likes to release new features that are flashy and truly amazing. Always excited to see those! But sometimes I wish they would spend more time improving and perfecting what is already in place. Polish the older tools that have been around for a while.
I think that if you are a General Contractor of any kind, you should be using Procore!

We use Procore as a full project management tool with the exception of the financial tools. Our Superintendents use the Daily Log and Photo tools consistently. All parties use the drawings, specifications, and submittals tools. Procore is also used for deficiency management and quality control.
  • Drawing / As-Built Management
  • Daily Log use for field ops
  • Specification markups not available.
  • Submittal builder is poor at recognizing information.
  • Ease of uploading large amount of information is difficult.

We use Procore as a Construction Management tool to keep track of our progress, financials, and materials within each job we have. Procore has helped us keep all of our documentation for jobs in one place that is easily accessible by all users [within] our company and outside companies that we chose to give access to.
  • Procore is great at helping keep track of Purchase orders.
  • Procore's time card allows your team to input and [keeps] track of time worked on each job.
  • Procore lets you manage and keep track of invoicing for Purchase Orders.
  • Procore needs some help with the ERP integration to QuickBooks.
  • I find that creating custom reports to be a little difficult.
Procore is well suited for keeping up with the day-to-day aspects of your project management.

We use Procore on all of our projects of all sizes and delivery methods. What varies is the level of involvement from the Architect and that varies more by Architect than by type of project. Procore helps us solve document control, submittal and RFI workflows, drawing and specification management, quality control, and field communication.
  • Drawing Management
  • Document Control
  • Workflows (RFIs and Submittals)
  • Drawing markups (more robust)
  • More integration between tools
  • Lack of specification markups
Procore is well suited for jobs of any size. The key is the [number] of people willing (or forced) to participate. If all subcontractors, the architect, and the engineers are using Procore, it is a very valuable tool. It is still useful if one or more parties are not involved, but it puts more of [a] burden on the general contractor to fill in the gaps and perform double entry. The most common hold-up is the architect if they have their own document control platform.

General contractor - commercial, agri-business, fabric, multi-family housing, senior living facilities. Using Procore streamlines the data and technology process from the office in communicating with the field. Real-time plans and updates are available at users' fingertips. Bidding, subcontracts, financial, and other tools are used daily. Historical data uses allows for more accurate information on bid history as well as inclusiveness for users.
Procore helps solves issues of keeping items current, tracking budgets, streamlining subcontracts, as well its versatility on so many fronts. Procore may come with a learning curve, but it's well worth it. The robust program offers so many different tools, even if we don't use them all right now, we may transition and restructure our standard operating procedures to adapt to the capabilities of the program.
  • Bidding tool - once the database of companies is built, mass communication and ease of bidding, tracking, and updating plans is a breeze.
  • Submittals/Drawings - keeping up to date on all the selections, plans, and other various aspects of a job [are] made simple with the use of these tools. Having all the information in one place and standardizing items with templates made the repetitive nature of some parts much easier.
  • Photos/Daily Log - easy way to keep track of a job especially when we are working all around the company. We can track the progress with the updates and can easily see and access photos with any issues that come up.
  • Mobile App - As the PM or APM on a project, there should be more available on the mobile app, specifically for these roles. I do not want to overwhelm the field crews/subs, but as the manager, it would be nice to have more mobile-friendly functions.
  • More explanations for when Procore is upset or not reading a document correctly - in budgets, why items turn red, or different views, or importing documents, would like to know WHY/WHAT was incorrect so it can be addressed.
Procore is well suited for larger, more robust jobs. If it's just a small one, there is way too much information on the front end that needs to be put in for something that is simple. The amount of steps for job setup is a lot, but worth it on the larger jobs. I have a hard time convincing the team to use procure for bidding if we are only looking for a couple of subs - as an example.

We are dedicated to the design, construction, and operation of hotels in Central America and the Caribbean. Procore helps us to keep the projects in order and in a clear way for all the participants from the conception of the idea to the opening of the hotel. Problems? Generally with new providers who do not know the platform and sometimes find it difficult to use it.
  • Good manage of submittals and RFIs.
  • Excellent [platform] to share drawings and its versions.
  • Easy to follow the meetings agreements.
  • Be compatible with platforms like softland.
  • Easier way to control the schedules.
  • Be able to use or purchase separate and incomplete applications.
The use of Procore is very appropriate for design, construction monitoring, project management, information protection after the project it helps a lot to share the information with all the stakeholders of the project, use less space in PCs, it´s available on cellphones and completion and less suitable for online design, little use if [the] internet is not available.

I am a construction project manager at a Tier 2 builder in Australia, we use Procore to support or Quality Assurance process on projects. We regularly use drawings to help ensure that documents are current and any issues are easily displayed within. We use many project management tools to automate registers and reporting. We also use observations/ punch items to hold subcontractors responsible for both safety and quality-related items. It helps us to better convey information [by] enabling simpler cross-referencing of tools to ensure as much information as possible is conveyed, making actions simpler and easier to identify and manage.

I am a project manager for a general contractor that builds veterinary hospitals all around the nation. I use Procore for all subcontracts via the DocuSign integration. The [ability] to easily issue change orders and have them Docusigned before the work is performed is used every day. I also look at the budget tool every day to make finical decisions on the project. Linking Procore with our companies ERP system has made the budget tool very useful.
  • DocuSign integration makes [exciting] documents quick and easy.
  • Budget tool linked with ERP makes you know where each project is financially.
  • Making a change event every time you want to create a change order is annoying.
  • Linking the budget tool with your schedule to predict your monthly billings.
Creating and issuing contracts and change orders are perfect in Procore. Trying to predict the future finances of a project can be very difficult in Procore.

I mostly use Procore for the following items:<br><ul><li>Submittals</li><li>RFI's</li><li>Meeting Minutes</li><li>Observations</li><li>Inspections</li><li>Directory</li><li>Drawings</li></ul>Using Procore as a General Contractor is nice because you have all of the information about the project in one spot. The mobile version of Procore is nice because you do not have to have your computer handy and can answer questions on the go from your phone or Ipad.
  • They do a great job in keeping the drawings in order.
  • They do a great job with keeping the most up to date submittal handy.
  • Procore does a great job with keeping the daily logs organized.
  • Procore can improve on their Procore extract tool.
  • They can improve on the Procore email notification.
  • They can improve on the way meeting minutes are set up.
Procore is a great tool to use. I think the best part of Procore is the fact that it is very easy to navigate. I love the fact that you are able to search keywords in the drawing tool. That feature has helped me many times and saved me a lot of time when I am looking for something specific in the drawings.

Procore is being used by all levels of our company to communicate with each other and insure all the latest documents are being used. Its being used to document the project and if an issue comes up it is quickly being handled through the documentation that we keep up with.
  • The thing I like the best is the photo storage which can be uploaded directly from the phone. Photos are quickly and easily accessed and can be searched by date and or keywords.

At Lambert Construction, we pretty much all use Procore, especially for Construction Financials, the job site document availability, submittals, bidding and directory management. It makes it easier to maintain current drawings, specs and other information that is crucial to have on the job site so that everyone is on the same page and are aware of any newly provided or clarified information.
  • Document Management - It's super easy to upload and publish new drawings and specs and allows you to review previously published versions of those documents.
  • The bidding process is pretty easy too. Selecting subcontractors and sending invitations to them, as well as tracking their intent, is pretty seamless.
  • Top of their game as far as support goes!! The online chat is fantastic and they're always helpful when you get stuck. :)
  • I'd like to see the bidder's list color coordinated so that, at a glance, you can see your percentages of yes, no and maybe for subcontractor intent to bid.
  • I'd like to see a column for job site proximity ON the bidder's list.
  • It would be nice to have a larger window to review/publish drawings.
  • The zoom feature on drawings is difficult to regulate; it doesn't always zoom to a clear image.
Procore is wonderful for document management and availability on the job site. It allows all general contractor (GC) staff as well as subcontractors mobile access to all project documents and specs to maintain transparency and currency. The ability to make sure that everyone has the latest and most current project information, to me, is a huge help. It helps with keeping paper use down as well.

Our company is using Procore as a GC.

We utilize:
Daily Logs, Submittals, RFIs, Inspections, Observations, Punchlist, Commitments, Prime Contract & Change Orders, PCOs

  • The RFI system is fast. There are a few bugs, but they are being worked on.
  • Daily Logs are great. I am able to export them in bulk to file as PDFs elsewhere easily. They include much information.
  • The photos are nice. You can snap photos while looking at a plan sheet and have the photo inserted on the drawing. The photos are easily bulk downloaded if needed.
  • Customer service is great. When I have had questions I always receive a response. The suggestion section for requesting different items or suggesting a fix for a bug is a great asset.
  • Using the web based, but not app/mobile based system, you still cannot scroll sequentially through submittals.
  • The RFI log and submittal log do not take you back to the exact page you were just on. If you are in a submittal, you cannot go back to the previous page. It takes you to page 1 of the entire submittal list unless you specifically had a filter. This is tedious as it should remember where you were and take you directly back.
For operations in the field, Procore is great. I am hoping it works well when I need to use it for billing multiple contractors each month.

I am a project administrator that utilizes Procore for all aspects of the projects I am a part of. We find that it is super beneficial for our commitments, RFIs and submittals, as well as scheduling and document processing. It helps streamline the documentation process as well as getting information to other parties quickly. This system also has been wonderful for generating historical data about our project which can be very hard to collect with as many people as there are typically involved in the construction process. All departments of our company use Procore in some fashion, our superintendents utilize the punch list feature, as well as the drawings tools, daily logs, and manpower logs. We have office personnel that also use it to track commitments and purchase orders as well as documents that are passed between owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Streamlining the documents being received and returned by subcontractors, clients, and architects.
  • Tracking historical data from the bid process all the way to completion of the project.
  • Commitments are neatly and efficiently outlined in the software. This allows easy access for all parties involved.
  • The bidding tools are not yet where they need to be but we have seen major improvement over the course of the last 6 months. We know eventually they will be as easy and efficient to use as many of the other features their software offers.
Procore has the capabilities unlike any software I have worked within the last 6 years in the construction industry. Procore offers a cloud-based system that you are able to log in from any tablet, or computer, and even cell phone. This has been major for our guys as wifi cards are becoming a thing of the past with the use of our tablets out in the field. Procore also has offered many features that we find to be an advantage when running a project. We particularly are fond of the observations tool as well as having the capabilities such as documenting with photos directly in the app.

We use Procore to communicate all the documents and information related to construction projects managed by our employer. Mainly we used it for the approval process of documents submitted by the General Contractor (shop drawings, method statements, material approval, RFI's etc.). Another major use we had was the distribution of documents such as progress reports, engineer instructions, variation orders, letters etc.

Procore is very useful in easy communication within all the parties of the project. Everybody can access documents saved in Procore so that minimises the opportunity for disputes. By using Procore, anybody can access the latest version of a document which is very important in large scale projects.
  • Very easy in managing approval workflows. You can take step by step approvals from the Structural Engineer, Architect, and lastly the Project Manager. This helps to minimise design changes.
  • Very easy to share documents. Also, you can save the document in Procore, so that anyone can access it.
  • You can use the project directory where you can find all the details of the people involved in the project.
  • Dashboard shows the pending items which enable you can take necessary actions.
  • Time it takes for the program to respond is relatively high. When the internet connection is poor, very difficult to use Procore.
  • Some features are hard to use and there are not enough manuals we can refer to.
  • If you not the admin for a particular project, you cannot delete a document even if you had uploaded it to a wrong folder. The document saving function is not very user friendly.
Procore is very much suited for large scale projects where there are a number of parties involved. Very good app to use in approval workflows. Also, it is very good in communicating contractual letters because you can have quick access to those documents later whenever required.
Cannot recommend Procore for small businesses and projects because it is costly. Not good to use if the internet connection is slow. Also, Procore may not be ideal to use in a very fast-paced project because the workflow process may take a considerable amount of time.

I am a project manager for a construction/development company. I am currently using Procore to manage two Projects. I use it for tendering, daily reporting, safety, drawing, and document management. In General, compared to other construction management programs I have used, I find Procore slow, not very flexible. for sending out drawings to contractors and consultants it is slow and cumbersome. For each drawing you want to send you need to download and wait for an email for each file—very time consuming, and the link you receive is not labeled. Their tech support people are friendly but not that helpful. The safety inspection tool works ok. The daily log can be used to record lots of data which I don't find helpful. I do like the photos. The RFI and Task function annoys people more than anything and I find it more time consuming than other ways of managing. Overall, Procore is like a multi-tool for Project management, none of which work very well.
  • The safety inspection tool works well and is relatively easy to use.
  • The bidding tool works reasonably well to use.
  • Photos and being able to categorize photos.
  • Slow and not very flexible.
  • Issuing drawings from Procore is slow and time consuming.
  • Creating tasks and RFIs is time consuming to set up and manage.
  • Scheduling tools are difficult to work with.
Very frustrating to use for the issuing of drawings electronically—extremely time-consuming. RFIs and tasks are slow to set up and you need to constantly update and manage them—frustrates employees, contractors, and consultants. The bidding tool works ok, same with photos. I don't like the schedule tools; I would much rather use Microsoft Projects for all of my scheduling needs. For marking up drawings or estimating I would much rather use Bluebeam.

I am a consultant on several hundred construction projects. I have been signed up for Procore on several projects without my permission by contractors using this program and it is a complete waste of my valuable time. At one point I was getting 50 emails a day that had nothing to do with me. I called Procore and asked them to stop sending me emails and they refused. I had to threaten them with legal action to stop them from sending me emails.

It has made me very angry that I have to deal with this annoyance when I am so busy trying to work. Who do they think they are breaking the law sending emails to people that don't want to use their stupid program. This needs to stop. If I was a lawyer, I would be suing them right now for all my wasted time.
  • It wastes your time very well and annoys me with every useless notification I get
  • Procore should not be able to send emails to people without their permission. This needs to change and proper permissions should be obtained before sending any emails.
  • It is extremely difficult to get Procore to stop sending you emails
If only the rating could be less than zero, I would choose that. I have had nothing but a nightmare with this program. I have now changed all my contracts to state that I refuse to work on a project if I am required to use this program. I would rather NOT have any business than use this program.
