  • Month-to-month billing and open structure make it easy to kick the tires at a fraction of the cost of other services.
  • Agencies are able to open a new client service / revenue channel with ongoing subscriptions that increase a client’s understanding of customer data through the customer lifecycle.
  • This fully integrated use of marketing data gives us an invaluable compass as we help clients plan long-term and real-time sales/marketing strategy based on that data.
  • The only con is if you neglect SharpSpring’s training / onboarding process. It’s quite a time commitment to get ramped up but I’d imagine the most satisfied SharpSpring clients are also the most trained and experienced.
SharpSpring has powerful inbound marketing capabilities and services such as email campaigns, landing pages, CRM, sales management. It also has an Integrated CRM and intuitive dashboard to streamline tracking and reporting. It's well suited for smaller companies and has amazing features that previously could only fit an enterprise-level budget.

SharpSpring has made it possible to have full visibility into our marketing efforts and easily see the ROI for each action. The combination of marketing automation, a full native CRM, and customizable landing pages has given us endless possibilities and great insights for our business. From what I have been using before, there is no doubt that SharpSpring is the most complete tool on the market.

We use SharpSpring as a comprehensive solution for our agency. It's our CRM, email marketing tool and all of our ROI for campaigns is measured in SharpSpring. We also offer clients the same benefits - to bring sales and marketing into one system so they can work together and increase ROI.
  • Customise many different options—it's great to have the flexibility to customise at such a good price point.
  • Extremely powerful—you can do lots of different things across the CRM, lead scoring, emails, campaigns etc.
  • Great price point—comparable to Hubspot but at a fraction of the price.
  • Excellent service—as an agency, we've been blown away at how helpful SharpSpring has been.

  • Not as intuitive as other software because of how powerful and flexible it is.
SharpSpring allows you to customise many different options. It's extremely powerful and is brilliant value for money compared to products such as Hubspot. The support has been excellent and the SharpSpring team are constantly releasing new features and seem very approachable with new ideas and questions. Being so powerful and customisable means there is a steep learning curve in setting up SharpSpring. Running it is simple enough but for an entrepreneur or person in a role where marketing is only one part of their function, the learning curve could definitely be too steep if you don't have help setting it up and getting it going.

SharpSpring allows me to use it's powerful tools to promote my business and also market my clients' businesses. I can use it on their behalf or give them a user account and train them to use the tools themselves.

SharpSpring also, offers me agency pricing and allows me to white label their interface and decide for myself what to charge them to use it.

Right now, I mainly use SharpSpring's CRM feature to collect customer data from the various ads I run. I also use it to collect customer data from things like chat applications, Facebook Messenger, and text message applications.

I collect the information and segment it into campaigns and lists using SharpSprings automation features. Then I follow up with these prospects through email drip campaigns.

  • SharpSpring supports marketing agencies like no other automation provider. They offer agency pricing that is a fraction of what companies like Infusionsoft and HubSpot charge. They don't compete for my customers. And they have my back at every turn with amazing customer service.
  • SharpSpring makes automation available to companies of all sizes. Small to mid-sized businesses are used to seeing Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. But, with SharpSpring, suddenly those numbers and graphs become people, faces, and profiles. It gives a business owner a clearer view his or her customer which, in turn, focuses his or her marketing efforts like never before.
  • SharpSpring listens to its partner agencies and responds with serious hustle. Digital Marketing is always evolving. That means the needs of agencies are always evolving. SharpSpring values input from its customers and uses that input to drive the development of new features. I truly feel that when I make a suggestion, it is received and valued by the SharpSpring team.
  • SharpSpring provides fast and reliable support for any technical issue. Any time I have called for tech support, my call has been treated with earnest concern. My issues have been addressed immediately and are often fixed before my call has ended. The support staff is kind, courteous, and a pleasure to talk to.
  • SharpSpring is easy to learn and enjoyable to use. The onboarding process (which costs significantly less than the competition) is thorough and fun. I looked forward to my calls with Justin. He was knowledgable and patient. He allowed me to explore at my own pace while guiding me through all of the necessary skills I would need to learn.
  • I would love to see SharpSpring develop integration with popular chat platforms. Right now I have to connect it through Zapier links and custom form fields. I can get the job done, but a native integration would be better.
  • I would like the ability to duplicate things more easily within the interface. It's simpler to edit a duplicate action group than it is to start from scratch. There are ways to duplicate many things, but the duplicate commands are sometimes hard to find, because there isn't a standard way to perform this action across the whole platform.
  • The things I would like to see are all minor additions or improvements. All in all, there aren't many things that I find SharpSpring lacking. It's an amazing tool at an amazing price run by amazing people.
SharpSpring is particularly well suited to plugging the holes of a traditional marketing or recruiting program with automation. I use SharpSpring to collect data from recruiting ads posted on Facebook, Indeed, Craig's List, and elsewhere. Before SharpSpring, my clients wanted to use Facebook ads to promote openings in their companies, but they weren't seeing much success. The ads would run to a landing page where the person would be asked to complete a large and intimidating application that would place him or her in the client's applicant tracking system.

People would click the ad, but leave the landing page when they saw the complexity of the application. I was able to craft a different ad that ran to a landing page containing just some information and a SharpSpring form requesting a name and an email address. Soon people began filling out the form because it was easier. Their contact information was collected in SharpSpring and the proper HR representative was alerted via email. The applicant received a call back very quickly and, after a short conversation with a real human being was more willing to complete the online application.

As a result, one of my clients was able to hire 48 people in less than 90 days.

We are relatively new to SharpSpring and we are a small agency. That said, it offers us a whole raft of capabilities that were previously lacking in what we were able to offer clients. As a B2B PR & marketing agency, it's crucial to help clients establish strong thought leadership which we were doing through content creation. The problem was always that clients lacked the ability to promote the content effectively and we were reluctant to start introducing ESPs like MailChimp and trying to design landing pages. We were also unable to offer clear value in helping disseminate the content properly. SharpSpring now gives us an incredibly affordable way to give clients an end-to-end B2B service offering including much greater insight, tracking, and accountability as well as non-invasive capabilities such as building landing pages, forms, and email campaigns.
  • Comprehensive set of tools - landing page builder, email campaigns, site visitor ID, sales insight, funnel builder, form builder, CRM and more.
  • Amazing value - it's such good value that when you first look at it, it seems too good to be true! Compared to Pardot and Hubspot it is a fraction of what they charge and you get free licenses included to use with clients. It's incredibly generous and also removes all the barriers to entry which are financially very high for companies like Hubspot that I was evaluating for over a year before I discovered SharpSpring.
  • Superb onboarding - I was assigned Matthew for a period of around 6 weeks and he could not have been more helpful. The onboarding is unlimited and very comprehensive and a credit to the company.
  • Great support - the technical and general support is brilliant. Although I am based in the UK and the company is in Florida, I always get a reply the same day from a technical person and am kept informed until it is resolved. SharpSpring have really invested in their support infrastructure after you sign on and it really shows. I have also suggested a few product features and receive a comprehensive reply back from the product team as to whether they see value in my suggestion and if it is going to be added to the work stack or not.
  • Onboarding prep - onboarding is great but you need to be aware that after about 3-4 weeks you will have explored all the features and then are expected to begin running campaigns. if you have not built a database or created good content for yourself then you could be naval gazing. This is not a criticism of SharpSpring but generally a warning they new users need to have the materials in place to start their own campaigns about 3 weeks in.
  • The landing page builder can be maddeningly frustrating to use and the email builder has a few glitches. These tools are not as WYSIWYG as they aspire to be but once you get the hang of them then you can create nice-looking emails and landing pages. Just be prepared to want to throw your laptop against the wall at times.
  • The actual materials that are there to help us as an agency to sell the SharpSpring/marketing automation proposition to clients could definitely be improved. This is in terms of volume and quality of design. That said, I have fed this back to them and they have been very receptive and acknowledged it is a core area that they are working on.
It is very well suited to small-medium companies and agencies that it is designed for. That said, I have not used Pardot or Hubspot which are traditionally used by bigger companies and SharpSpring may well be a contender. You also need to be aware that if you are using it for yourself, then you need to have a good stream of content ready to go.

We use SharpSpring within our organization to track our leads' activity on our website and through the sales funnel, identify areas where we can possibly accelerate the buyers journey for our leads, assign lead scoring in order to better identify prospects who are interested in working with us or learning from us, and build dynamic landing pages and microsites for a more fulfilling and customized user experience. We've also deployed SharpSpring for three of our clients.

SharpSpring is an affordable choice for companies with really large lists who want to follow the 'crawl-walk-run' method of building out their marketing automation without having to outgrow a provider too quickly. It has a lot of capabilities, so I would recommend to any company that is evaluating it to be sure to understand the full benefits and full power of what they have when they use SharpSpring. It is a great tool for companies who recognize that they would be best served by having better Sales Team & Marketing Team collaboration.

My partner and I run a digital marketing agency and we utilize SharpSpring for various aspects of our business. I use it to onboard new clients, we track our prospects, and we also resell SharpSpring to our clients. Internally, I love that I can automate our onboarding process. I send an automation to new clients with links and directions to complete their intake. It helps me stay more organized. For our clients, they get a one size fits all solution. Most of our clients that have adopted SharpSpring give up every other email, CRM, or lead tracking software they were previously using.
  • Simple automation implementation. I am the writing side of our agency, but of course, I jump in to help with the technical stuff as needed. I learned fairly quickly how to load emails and set automations. SharpSprings system is pretty self-explanatory and easy to use if you are familiar with computers in general. Being user-friendly is a huge strength in this field, because for someone like me who is not particularly technically inclined, if a program is too hard to use I will just look for a simpler competitor.
  • Custom fields for segmenting email lists. I do not have a lot of experience with competitors, but I know that SharpSpring's customer field capabilities allow me to exactly what I want with no limitations. I have created custom fields for my clients that I am onboarding, as well as created custom email lists for our clients to help them better market to their customers.
  • From a Partner perspective, SharpSping has amazing resources and is always changing and growing. They listen to our feedback and change with the needs of the industry. They also have an extensive Partner Portal with loads of articles and webinars, as well as amazing customer service. Any issues have always been responded to and resolved in a very timely manner.
  • One feature in reporting I noticed missing was being able to separate campaign by email send dates. We have a client that launches 120 new emails to his client list each day, which sparks a 30 email automation. While we can see the overall reporting, it would be nice to see them segmented by date so we can track data based on day of the week, etc. I know I can do this by copying the automation and creating a separate campaign, but I like to avoid extra steps.
  • A navigation function (that I'm sure has been reported and is being worked on) is the ability to navigate via a back and forward button. Currently, if you are inside an email, to go back to a list you have to navigate from the start at the navigation bar.
  • I know this issue is probably universal, and exists for good reason, but I wish there were an easier way to have two emails listed for the same contact. Obviously, there can only be one email per contact for list eailing to work properly, but instead of created a John Smith-Work and John Smith-Personal, maybe there could be a way to combine the two somehow. When email lists get large, as they often do, I might end up with two John Smiths and get confused! A way to link separate contacts would be ideal.
We work mainly with start-ups and non-profits and SharpSping is ideal for these clients. We start them on the lower tier at 25,000 email sends per month, which is usually a perfect amount for an organization that is just getting their client list going. SharpSpring is also the best bang for your buck by far when looking at the competition. Most of the big competitors can only be afforded by established companies with a sincere marketing budget. That being said, if we ever obtained a client with an exorbitantly large client list, we may have to consider that other platforms would be better suited.

  • Customer Service: SharpSpring's staff is always an email or phone call away, with a typical response time of minutes, rather than days!
  • Robust Feature Set: SharpSpring allowed our organization, and our clients, to be able to combine multiple platforms into one concise, cost effective platform.
  • Ongoing Feature Development: As an Agency partner, I love how feature requests are listened to and honored. As a business owner, I appreciate it when a feature request is turned down because it's not in line with the core plan of the company. What blows me away is when a feature request is turned down, in most cases a 3-party solution or API integration is suggested by SharpSpring.
  • Robust Feature Set: With so many features and options available in SharpSpring there is a bit of a learning curve to the platform.
  • Visual Workflow Builder: Unlike some other platforms there is no Visual Workflow builder for automations....BUT...I do hear that functionality is currently in development

Since we started using SharpSpring as our default tool for digital marketing activities, we can do our complete marketing and sales process without getting out of the tool. We create content and offers, upload it to the media center, create campaigns, emails, workflows, landing pages with forms and calls to action buttons, automatize all these functions and receive sharp reports with impressive accurate data enabling us to move forward or re-do them when things aren't going right.
  • The Lead Score features are so helpful. We can set custom behavior rules, use them in automation and define how much value attribute to each step of the lead in the storyline in our website.
  • We really put inbound marketing fundamentals in practice using the Personas feature. We can use forms with persona fields, create dynamic landing page content for personas and email content dynamic for personas. It's a game changer.
  • It's possible to track any campaign using the tool to better understand what marketing efforts are generating the highest ROI.
  • Despite the SharpSpring Landing page builder being an excellent feature, it only allows us to use it in one subdomain. Most of the times we need more than one.
  • The "logical" in automation flows is different than other marketing automation platforms, and there's a learning curve to understand the relation between tasks, triggers, and workflows. As you learn it, it goes well.
  • We're having troubles with integrating Typeform forms and SharpSpring via Zapier. We simply can't do it.
We think that best SharpSpring use is for marketing agencies. They can add so much value to their clients' business in terms of costs, investments, and results.

By the way, even if you're a digital agency or an SMB with a few leads, it will cost you less than what you 'll probably pay for other solutions.

Here at Inbound Marketing Brasil, we use SharpSpring for several activities. We manage our contacts' base, we do our email campaigns, like nutrition campaigns, monetization campaigns, and also newsletter campaigns. Otherwise, we use the native CRM to track all the opportunities and all the features always work so well for us.
  • Onboarding - The sharpspring team is so well educated in all aspects of the tool, that made it easy for anyone to learn, use, abuse and teach for clients and interns. There are so many tutorial videos that cover all features and doubts.
  • Customer Service - anytime, anywhere. If I have to talk about just one single thing about the sharpspring customer service attendants is commitment. Every time we need it, we get it. And most of the times, they surprise us for good.
  • Landing Page Builder - it's so easy to use that a child can use it. I love the templates and the WYSIWG, because I don't know a single line of code. It's fantastic.
  • Social Media - We are very disappointed with the tool in terms of social media features. We can't track, schedule, or post. We are use to use several different tools and despite SharpSpring being a good choice, we need to use third parties tools to do it.
  • Customer Service - Despite the excellent customer service as I related above, there are a lot of people talking to us. Each contact drops in a different person and our inboxes used to be full of emails. Sometimes we don't know who we talk to first, and it kind of makes us waste time.
  • Forms - It does not have the pre-filled function. As we want to minimize the bounce, using pre-filled forms is a fantastic way to avoid it, but the tool doesn't have this feature.
The best scenario to use SharpSpring is if you're a digital agency or an inbound agency and have a lot of clients using different SaaS products and when you offer a tool like SharpSpring with the best cost-benefit and with a price differential, they loved! But if you want to be proactive and trackable in social media, you'll have to use another tool to complement.

JRCB uses SharpSpring for our clients' marketing automation needs. We have also provided access to the sales function of the tool to a client who uses it for all of their sales' needs. We are able to easily manage all marketing campaigns and communications for clients through SharpSpring as well as provide detailed reporting for each campaign and marketing execution.
  • On-boarding takes place twice a week for 60 days. Our trainer provided excellent service working with us how we needed.
  • Customer Support is top notch. Any feature request or troubleshooting tickets we submit are responded to within an hour & the answers/resolution provided quickly - almost always same day.
  • Reporting. JRCB finds tremendous value in the reporting features of SharpSpring. We are able to provide our clients robust reports on all campaigns without having to invest the time to create these manually.
  • There is one report that outlines "email sends". It would be helpful if the report would provide the exact date of the send instead of how it currently provides a timeframe (i.e. two weeks ago).
  • It would be helpful if the landing page feature would allow us to create and save our own template. Right now we cut and paste the code to keep our templates in sync.
From our use of SharpSpring and familiarity with other marketing automation tools, I believe SharpSpring is well suited for the marketing agency more so than the corporate client directly. The ability to easily integrate sales and marketing functions and have the marketing agency privy to this information is ideal for a strategic marketing partner.

We use SharpSpring both for ourselves and for a handful of our marketing clients. We now use it for our standard email newsletter campaigns, but the big attraction to the platform was the automation features that allow us to easily segment recipients and trigger custom messages at precisely the right moment. Rather than sending one static message to all leads, we believe in sending targeted and personalized messages to make the most of our time and resources.
  • The triggers and workflows are intuitive and easy to configure. In a relatively short period, I was able to set up several targeted campaigns for my company and several of our clients.
  • SharpSpring makes on-boarding new clients very simple, with minimal work needed on the website back-end and in the DNS.
  • The company makes it easy to find answers to my questions. Different sections of the platform have Help sections tailored specifically to those tasks, and its support reps are responsive and well-versed.
  • While the company is constantly improving the platform, it can be buggy or slow sometimes when I am working on email drafts or templates. But a simple browser refresh usually takes care of the issue.
  • Though it isn't hard to set up an email "drip" campaign in SharpSpring, I see an opportunity to simplify the process. This could be as a step-by-step "Wizard" or in a new section of the platform.
  • I'm not aware of a way to get a better "global" look at performance in SharpSpring, but if there was a single place to see a daily or weekly summary for all clients, that would be useful.
If you're a marketing company looking to add a new service to your toolbox, if you want to organize your sales process, or if you want to make better use of a mid to large-sized email list, SharpSpring is great to have. But if you don't have the use for anything beyond a simple email service provider, the money may be better spent elsewhere.

It also combines the functionality of several useful marketing platforms including MailChimp, Lead Forensics and SalesForce into one cost effective platform.
  • Combines several platforms into one making it a very cost-effective and competitive solution.
  • The technical support is quick, responsive and thorough.
  • They support their partners very well with constant webinars.
  • They are always adding new innovative features such as the recent integration with iStock.
  • If you are importing your own HTML templates this requires technical assistance to make them editable and can often break.
  • Some user functionality can be a bit annoying, for example if you press the back button once you are in a folder it takes you back to the main root folder rather than the sub folder you were in.
SharpSpring is perfect for e-commerce websites where the business can track what products individual users are looking at and send content relevant to the products they have been looking at. It is also good if you are running extensive PPC campaigns to track what adwords are generating the traffic through to which terms are converting and the journey that have taken in your website. It is also useful for B2B businesses that have a sales or account teams that find it useful to be notified when their lead or client is looking at their website so that they can be notified straight away and review the users' contact details to check out what they are looking at on their website

I first emailed SharpSpring and within 12 hours had an email confirming a demo, a call before my initial walk-through and was updated regularly throughout the entire sales process. Our rep was able to handle our questions and pushback graciously. Now that we're in the system, it's answering questions about our leads, the life of our clients and how our internal team is communicating with clients all in one easy-to-use dashboard. I help clients understand what marketing tools they need for their business and I work with a number of different suppliers including Sharpspring. It is currently being used both for my business Bright Dials as well as my clients. Sharpspring addresses a number of areas for my clients; seeing ROI from the first click through to sale, understanding customer behaviour and being able to automate relevant and timely communications based on that behaviour. It also enables clients to know when their leads are ready to buy rather than the traditional cold calling, scattergun approach.
  • Tracking ROI from first click through to sale - this is a key issue for clients and Sharpspring resolves this in a simple interface.
  • Dynamic Lists - removing manual segmentation and enabling on the fly dynamic segmentation is very powerful and saves a lot of time.
  • Life of the Lead - this is a brilliant visual feature which gives clients the ability to see every way their lead has engaged with their business over time is a fantastic sales tool.
  • The Landing Page generator has always been a bit glitchy and although designed to not need code, I've ended up learning more code since I started using it (no bad thing!) but a recent update has fixed a lot of the issues, just changing the publishing button onto the main page is a big time saver. I would like to see this feature improve though to be able to control the placement of headers, images etc through the editing function rather than the code.
  • At the moment the workflow structure is enabled with drop down functionality, once a criteria is added, it can't be edited. Having a more visual 'tree' structure would be more helpful and I believe is in the features pipeline.
  • The Visitor ID tool is fairly periphery to my clients needs, but it could be improved if it were possible to remove the site visiters which aren't leads that visit your site; spiders and such like.
Sharpspring suits smaller businesses brilliantly when compared to the more enterprise solutions like Hubspot, Marketo etc. I am a big believer in a serviced agency model; most smaller businesses need a lot of help understanding what the tool can do and support ongoing to maximise its use and this is Sharpspring's philosophy too. To max out the benefit of using Sharpspring, your business needs to be lead driven and I would say generating minimum of 5-10 leads per day. You probably have a longer sales cycle too.

In the 20% of situations where I perhaps wouldn't use Sharpspring would be a where a business has a strong customer service requirement with multiple internal teams involved, particularly those converting from free to paid trial as I've seen other solutions which can handle this in a better way.

I worked with sharpspring for over a year and I saw a lot of good things like the API (easy to use), email and the landing page template that allows developers to input their own code with the possibility to keep the drag and drop feature. Each time we need support, they provide help quickly and during the day. My company manages several client accounts and sharpspring is really [great] for doing this. We can configure our agency account with all of our clients' accounts and give them different roles on their own account based on their skills.

Many of our clients are small organisations and they want to use a marketing automation platform themselves. SharpSpring is feature rich yet easy to use and designed in a common sense way. New users can quickly start to get results and don't feel overwhelmed by the system. That said the feature set is extensive and powerful and being added to on a regular basis. Support is good and SharpSpring is responsive. Pricing is competitive.
  • The feature set is strong for the money and they are adding to the features on a regular basis.
  • SharpSpring support is responsive and very helpful. They provide good training and technical support and resolve issues quickly.
  • The contact tracking and engagement view (life of the lead) is visually attractive and really gets clients excited about what they can do to trigger drip campaigns and segmentation paths.
  • Tasks and workflows can be a bit daunting at first as there is no easy way to visualize how to construct complex chains of triggers and workflows (however, I understand that this is now being resolved with a visual workflow builder!).
  • There have been a few performance issues and occasional bugs but these are resolved pretty quickly.
  • Could do with some more SEO functionality and better social media options

Currently, only the marketing automation department utilizes SharpSpring at our financial marketing firm. SharpSpring allows us to more effectively manage leads, campaign results, and email automation. It also allows us to implement lead scoring (which is beneficial to our sales representatives), form and landing page creation/result tracking, as well as more complex workflows that allow for programs and campaigns we didn't even know were possible.
  • The organization of SharpSpring is phenomenal. I can almost always find what I am looking for quickly and easily. The layout and look of it are more than satisfactory.
  • It is amazing to me how much you can actually do with SharpSpring. Not only can you track analytics from campaigns, site traffic, and emails, but you can also track website visitors in real time, effectively manage thousands of leads and campaigns, segment them by lists, and create complex tasks and workflows that allow for creative campaigns to be developed and implemented.
  • SharpSpring support is extraordinary. It is super easy to jump on the phone at any time and speak directly to a support technician who can usually answer your questions right away with no trouble.
  • SharpSpring could definitely improve some of their search functions, as well as sort and filter. It is sometimes difficult to understand what filters you are applying and to get back to where you were before them. Also, the Scheduled Events tab doesn't even have a search function, which is problematic at times.
  • It would also be beneficial if you were able to work in multiple instances at once. A lot of the time, we base campaigns or workflows for one client off another. Would it be possible to copy workflows not only within a single instance but across instances?
  • Being able to create folders within Campaigns or Forms on the left sidebar might be beneficial as well.
SharpSpring is well suited for any business who utilizes email marketing. Not only that, but also any business that is looking to generate more leads through form completions, drip campaigns, and nurturing campaigns. This works well for marketing firms (ours works with financial and healthcare services), and I think it would be well suited for retail companies as well.

My agency uses SharpSpring as part of our own strategy on a day to day basis within the marketing and sales function. We have also implemented the onboarding process for key clients in 2016 and 2017. For both our agency and clients alike, it has addressed the business issues around managing multiple marketing tasks. The visitor data tracking function has been of great help in identifying leads which are not quite ready to purchase in the sales funnel and using inbound methodology it allows us to focus more efficiently on nurturing leads through to the conversion stage.
  • Online 24/7 unlimited support within the monthly fees structure. It allows our agency to manage costs more efficiently as we can be sure there are no additional outlays for support, which is not always the case with marketing software.
  • Constantly adding new features and benefits within the platform. This was a crucial part of our decision to use SharpSpring, due to the constantly changing landscape that is marketing automation. It is vital our agency and clients can keep up with new integration offerings within the industry.
  • Monthly fees are in dollars. Unlike most marketing software providers in the USA, with SharpSpring you do not benefit from the currency conversion into £ sterling. You pay in £ sterling the same monthly fee as in US $ dollars which is technically penalising UK customers.
  • Email builder; while it is satisfactory, it could be even more user-friendly.
  • Social Media and SEO features would be extremely useful.
We are a small boutique digital marketing agency based in the UK. We spent six months researching all the marketing platforms available.
It was vital to have 24/7 support available within the fees payable, favourable fee rates for an agency of our size (which did not require upfront annual payment), the option to have access to support within GMT timelines for our UK clients and last but not least a marketing automation provider who was developing new features on a near-quarterly basis. We decided that SharpSpring and their team would provide all of these features and benefits.
We commenced our inbound integration mid-2016, and the integration ran extremely efficiently with fantastic support.
They have over delivered every step of the way, and their team are highly knowledgeable, patient and supportive.
As an agency working with small to medium sized businesses, this platform does not have as steep a learning curve as some other far more expensive providers of this type of software.
The platfrom is of course well suited to email campaigns where leads can be identified using the visitor ID function and helps nurture prospects through the inbound processs till they are ready to buy.
It is less appropriate when looking to integrate social platform information into the CRM nor in providing guidance when it comes to SEO tips etc during content creation on the platform etc.

We use it for specific clients in order to address their CRM/email marketing and marketing automation needs. The usage differs client to client based on their needs and industry. Most of our clients utilise the marketing automation functions to keep in contact with their database, get a profile of their usage and drive them to specific actions.
  • Opening the instance is incredibly easy. With a lot of other systems, configuring the database, creating custom fields etc., are time-consuming - with SharpSpring it is already done
  • The landing page builder is very easy to use, and with a basic knowledge of coding, extremely powerful.
  • They manage their sender reputation very well - no point in having a super system if people don't get the emails.
  • I enjoy the reporting - easy to use and insightful.
  • Being able to send Birthday communications regardless of the year of birth
  • ASCII codes in the subject line
  • Being able to send comms based on when a person last opened a mail
I think that SharpSpring is very well balanced, if you are just starting out with marketing automation, then this is great platform to start with as well being incredibly well priced. I think that if you are looking to have a system that DOES NOT push to landing pages, but rather that updates the central CRM, you may find SharpSpring limiting.

We use SharpSpring in our marketing agency E-Impact Marketing LLC as well as for nearly all of our clients. In our organization, it is used to manage leads interested in our marketing plans. We use it to track sales per marketing campaign and be sure we are following through with the leads in our system. We also use it to gauge how interested potential clients are in our services. When a new lead comes in, we enter them into SharpSpring and send an email from SharpSpring so we can begin tracking their activities.
Secondly, we use it for our clients to bring in leads and manage those leads. One of our first clients on the platform was https://kingdombiofuel.com/. They have seen a huge number of leads coming in through our inbound marketing strategies and are very happy with the service. Another client we are just implement this system with has a huge number of leads that need to have automated marketing systems working for them. Sheds Unlimited has another CRM system that we are working on integrating with so we can help them close more deals.
  • Email Automation is a very strong point of SharpSpring. It allows us to setup automation email campaigns and then trigger them based on actions performed by the lead.
  • Lead Scoring gives us a number to show us who are the most engaged leads for us and our clients.
  • It gives good reporting features for emails going out through the system.
  • A bit weak on the transition between lead and opportunity to sales. But it is getting better.
  • A few glitches in the send patterns, but not enough to make a big deal about.
SharpSpring is great for companies that need a lead management solution that is cost effective. There are many other systems out there but the cost is higher than most of our clients would be interested in spending. I love being able to recommend a Lead Management solution that is cost effective and powerful.
