Overall Satisfaction with PandaDoc

We use PandaDoc in our Sales, Legal (for customer-facing legal matters), HR, and Operations.

PandaDoc makes it possible to control the possible content of contracts and makes it easy for the sales team to produce proposals that have a look and feel of tailored unique quotes for our clients, even though they are in fact 90% pre-made templates.

Cons

  • Editing library items should affect the templates using them, so we could edit multible templates at once.
  • We nove have 100% control over all business relations. Nothing happens without a contract
  • Before Pandadoc sales reps had a tendency to make agreements on email, making them prone to human error and hard to follow up on individual agreements.
  • We save a ton of time
  • We have an approver flow that ensures that no contract goes out to prospects without the proper internal sign-off.
  • With workspaces, we're able to handle legal and HR paperwork from the same system.
Being able to handle the context of a document from the editor is way better than only having the ability to upload a document that you have made in another system, like MS Word or Google Docs.

Very easy to set up and fill contract templates with the dynamic fields. Easy to manage from a legal or business controller standpoint, and easy to use for the sales/legal/HR teams. The built-in theme editor makes it possible to design great templates by our design team. All in all a great solution for us. We're currently considering to move to the Enterprise offering to get more workspaces and then onboard our HR department.

PandaDoc Experience

Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. There can be a slightly steep learning curve to get fully in on the system.
The new editor v2 has really improved usability and allows us to collaborate on documents simultaneously.

Once the templates and library items are set up, a new document, whether it be a sales or HR document, takes very little time to complete.
We had a critical proposal that got deleted by accident. PandaDoc Support managed to recover it within minutes - even though this was late in the evening.

The support team is always available when we need it, and they great at listening to our suggestions for improvements or feature requests.
We have not integrated a whole lot yet, but have set up an integration with Zapier to be able to celebrate won deals in our company Slack.
Integration went without any problems and the chosen Slack channel is notified on time, every time.
PandaDoc has definitely improved on performance over the last 6-7 months.
Performance is not a topic, for us and it's not a complaint from the people using PandaDoc on a daily basis, which is usually a good sign.
Our PandaDoc rep has been very easy to work with and understands our situation, also after the deal was signed.

Evaluating PandaDoc and Competitors

Yes - We have migrated from Eversign to PandaDoc.
With Eversign we were not able to control the contents of the documents and would rely on documents created in other platforms and then uploaded for signature as PDFs or similar.

No. To be honest we have not had the need for that much support. The platform is very easy to use and pretty stable.
We had a document that was deleted by accident and was due the day after.
The PandaDoc support team managed to restore the document even though it was late in the evening in their time zone, and we were able to send out the document on time.

  • Reviewers can not be managed centrally, This gives challenges when a manager stops with the company since all documents created prior, will have this manager in the approval flow hard coded in the document.
Yes - Works great and makes it possible to approve documents on the go, thus removing bottlenecks.
