RingEx is a cloud-based VoIP solution available via computer mobile application. It features video and audio conferencing, desktop phone rentals, collaboration tools, and integrations with other business applications. Plans are available on a monthly, per user subscription basis.
8x8 Work and RingCentral EX have similar features available. 8x8 Analytics is a little better at summarizing data and creating dashboard visuals. Other than that they are both great products. I prefer the admin console confirmation for 8x8 Work over RingCentral. Things seem to …
I was told by an uninformed salesperson who is NOT affiliated with 8x8 Work or ring central, that 8x8 Work would be great and he likes it more than ring central for my use case.
I have since left 8x8 Work and gone to one of their competitors.
8x8 seemed to be a more established business platform than Vonage, which seemed to still be a little stuck in its consumer roots. We also checked out RingCentral which was pricier and we didn't particularly like the fact that it would have a virtual answer instead of just …
RingCentral seems to have a better feature set and more options to expand on services where 8x8 falls short. We selected 8x8 based on our vendor recommendation at the time but are looking into possibly moving to Ring Central after some additional evaluation.
Admin interface is much more intuitive with 8x8. I was able to easily train my team on user administration and day to day support of our end users. Even our non-technical contacts are able to handle the simple day to day tasks.
The 8x8 UCaaS solution provides the same functionality that we were looking for that is the same as the other cloud-only phone vendors that we also looked at. However, the integration of the 8x8 UCaaS with the 8x8 CCaaS was also a big factor in why we liked 8x8 better. The …
8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office) seemed to present the optimal combination of cost, features, scalability to support our growth, track record, and positive reviews.
We had Fusion Connect which was sparse at best and hard to program. We needed to step it up and get a system that had more features and was easy for us to program ourselves. 8x8 X Series does all of that for us out of the box. We looked at Ring Central and it seemed like they …
8x8 provides the most user friendly portal that is simple to use & understand. 8x8 also has the most budget friendly pricing with all of the same features that you can get with the other providers at a higher price.
8x8 [X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)] was more flexible with regards to having a mixed environment than RingCentral. It is less expensive and requires less IT skill than operating a Cisco phone environment. It offers better traditional desk-based and computer based phone …
We chose 8x8 because the price was lower. We also used to have hard-line phones, but when our company went remote, that didn't make sense anymore. I don't remember what company that was. They didn't have a good VOIP service and the prices were very high. We chose 8x8 for the …
Both systems have their own strengths and weaknesses. RingCentral Meetings is better than 8x8 X Series. Ring Central has Glip and 8x8 does not have that in the X Series. 8x8 has fewer glitches and better technical support than RingCentral.
8x8 X Series was one of the most affordable and comprehensive available. They were responsive during the sales and training process and helped walk us through our use case. We thought it was pretty clearly the winner despite a few gaps as mentioned, but those are not major and …
Many of the features are the same but I feel that RC makes it more user friendly for configuration and work. We have also not seen the cost increases with RingCentral that we saw with the other providers
RingEX sales team was the most responsive team. Zoom was not as mature and did not have a fax solution like RingEX had. 8x8 sales process was a disaster and their finance team began billing us during the sales process as if we were a customer. We could tell 8x8 didn't focus on …
This was a solution that we could not only use in house as our primary VOIP service, but we could also support and resell to our member offices. The cost savings and deals that RingEX will work out to win new business has been a major win for both ourselves and our customers.
RingEX beat Fuze in every single department: cost, function, reliability, features. It is more stable than Microsoft Teams although not as widely adopted only because it's not Microsoft. 8x8 while a decent platform, just was not as "mature" in its application as RingEX. We …
Our sister campuses are using Microsoft Teams as the phone system. While MS Teams works great for collaboration, storage, and video conferencing, there are still many issues with using them as the phone system. Desk phone integration with Teams is nothing short of horrible, as …
In user reviews, stellar reliability was consistently repeated, and that was not the case with any of the other solutions I evaluated at the time. RingEX had all the features we desired, too, and was competitively priced. The fact that Gartner recognized it as a leader in its …
I think their desktop client is much more reliable. I wasn't too happy with 8x8 as it used Adobe Air and constantly asked me to update Adobe Air when I opened the program. Very annoying. I had to update Adobe Air and 8x8 as well. If I tried to update the client it would …
As per my 8x8 work experience, I will give an 8 rating out of 10. Because 8x8 work is doing very nice in the communication field. 8x8 works to provide seamless, high-quality voice connections with our customers. It has a simple, easy-to-use user interface. I can use 8x8 from my phone, desktop, laptop, and desk phone, which is great.
RingCentral is generally good for business calls, as its mobile features, combined with landline office options, are great for communication on the go. It is also an affordable option to have a mobile cellular device if you have a lot of staff. Setup especially for multilevel authorization can be a hassle but it works well if well set up, you would have to get help in rectifying this if not calls might be redirected to the wrong extensions and changing it is not very straight forward.
We can use the RingEx in our Mobile to use for Basic calls and messages, but sometimes the mobile application lags or disconnects while using video calls or screen sharing.
we can easily configure in our laptops.
The Meeting recording option is really helpful for our organization
All our employees love this product. No one has ever had an issue, whether it be the phone or fax. Great during the winter when employees have to work from home because of the snow. Never had an issue with the phone app. Highly recommend this product
We are grandfathered into our unlimited toll-free minutes plan. We are very unlikely to switch because of that. It has been the major factor saving us a lot of money compared to switching to other solutions. I don't know any other company that still offers these unlimited plans.
8x8 Work is very good software for making communication easier. 8x8 Work is user friendly in use. 8x8 Work has excellent uptime. It provides HD voice quality even on mobile phone as well. 8x8 Work has excellent customer support. 8x8 customer support is knowledgeable they always resolve issues with 8x8 deep knowledge.
They were working on updating a few of the modules while we were going live, so this made usability difficult to train on once they did go live with those changes. Now that the changes are in place, we have really enjoyed the usability of the platform
As mentioned before, we have not had an outage with the phone system per say, There was an issue with the call center where we did have an outage, but it was quickly and promplty handled by 8x8 support, they got us up and going again within 24 hours. The 8x8 hard phone and softphone side of things have been rock solid, I couldn't ask for anything more seeing we are in health care and it's exactly what we were looking for. When and if there is an issue 99% of the time it's user error
RingEx is reliable I have not had any issues as of yet. I use both plants we have, and the service is fair to good. The service as a whole is solid and a great method to get in contact with anyone. I know the service also involves Wi-Fi and cellular service, or, in other words, how good your signal is.
None of the features that are available slow down the application. The reports (even the ones with hundreds of records) complete very quickly and the web interface as well as the mobile application never struggle to load or complete a task. The analytics will sometimes take some time to reflect the online status of users but it is to be expected due to connection speeds.
Occasional bandwith issues. In addition to this, I have one individual whose calls are blocked. We were not able to determine whether this was a RingEX or a carrier issue.
We are a USA based organization. Support was refreshingly quick (callback via phone or email, online live agents). Agents are knowledgeable, thorough in their explanations, and extremely patient when dealing with end-users at various levels of the ICT knowledge spectrum.
Call-in support is fantastic. I have never called in and had it taken more than 30 minutes to resolve our issue. Email support is terrible. You will likely go 24+ hours until you hear back and the response is likely a canned one. I personally prefer the email or chat support option, but find myself calling instead because the email support experience is so poor.
The person giving the training was very engaged, He also listened and answered all the questions. He created a video for our company while he was training in case we needed to reference it again in the future. The questions he could not answer were answered within 24 hours via an email to the IT support staff here so we could share the answers with the rest of the group
The implementation of 8x8 X was rather smooth. We had training prior to getting the system. The IT company did a good job on the training. The whole system is wonderful. Saves me so much time with the faxing, as i can just let it go by itself and not have to make sure pages don't get skipped, as with a regular fax machine.
If someone has an existing system I tell them to keep that running initially and keep RingEX separate initially until the system is configured and tested to one's satisfaction. After testing and configuration is completed, then roll over the main phone numbers to the new RingEX system. I've seen one person who immediately flipped over to RingEX without properly configuring/testing the software and had many issues with missed customer calls until I helped him sort out his configuration.
I prefer 8x8 Work; it has the right number of features and modes for the communication I need. I much prefer 8x8 Work meetings to zoom meetings, as it is much, much easier to transition between devices when I am on the road. 8x8 Work is also easier to manage across multiple modes of communication.
We switched from GoTo's platform with pieces of Teams. At that time, the complexity and difficulty of integrating all of the features and connecting them to get a simple platform that was stable and easy to train weren't available elsewhere.
At this time, we’re very happy with the pricing model that we have worked out and they have provided for us. Just be sure to do your homework, and use your comparisons to work out your cost with 8x8. They will be very straightforward with you on what they can adjust for you.
The only issue was adding licences was not via a button click but through your account admin which seems bad practice in a SaaS world as the user should be able to sign up, amend and close their account with ease
We have 75 users and 85 phones on the system and have yet to have any noticeable outages. The system just works all of the time without issues. Our old VOIP system on Voyant would go out all the time for multiple hours. RingEX is much more stable and reliable.
PS had all the users etc. set up by our go-live date. All hard phones were activated and when we received them, all we had to do was set them up and punch in the activation code to activate them.
Enhanced patient accountability, we can track all calls - incoming and outgoing - patients tend to state that they called and left a message, but they either never called or did not leave a message. With RingEX, we can track whether they really did. It saves us quite a bit of time and aggravation.
Faxing is more accurate and usually very quick. Because it's accurate, it saves us time with phone calls about faxes we never received and having to refax items. Also, faxing via the system instead of printing and scanning is a time-saver.
