Webex Meetings

Webex Meetings is more focused on organizations and users with needs above the average: HD video and audio, possibility of participating from any device, by desktop, mobile, video conference equipment or browser, share screen, documents or record and edit meetings , among other features, all safely and up to 1000 participants in each meeting. If a more basic collaborative solution is required, the advice is to use another provider.

TeamViewer Meeting (formerly Blizz)

Blizz is great for any kind of video conferencing call, it brings a lot to the table and manages to execute its service very well. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for an affordable and solid video conferencing experience. In my opinion, it would suit both medium and small teams the most.

Pros

Webex Meetings

  • it is very robust and Stable
  • Security is one important strength
  • it is easy to use, and even when shared to arrange meetings with customer that are more familiar in using other Meeting Tools, they find it easy to use and better than the tools they have been using.
  • It is curious how they like the way they could change the Virtual Background and how better it looks than others
Mike Martinez | TrustRadius Reviewer

TeamViewer Meeting (formerly Blizz)

  • Very effective linking of different devices. Easy to join from anywhere/any device by just entering the meeting ID.
  • Minimal, intuitive interface that takes very little getting used to. I skipped the help section and still figured everything out within a couple of minutes.
  • Pairs with Outlook so you can view all your existing contacts from within Blizz. Really saves time and stops anyone being missed out.
  • Can support up to 300 participants.
  • Reasonable pricing structure. Free for personal use and still good value for the higher-level packages. You can also add local numbers for free.
  • Live text chat for use during a meeting if you have something to say but don’t want to interrupt the presenter.
  • A secured connection so there are no issues sending sensitive documents etc.
  • The audio and video quality has always been excellent (although I’ve come to expect this from any conferencing software nowadays).

Cons

Webex Meetings

  • Better integration with other platforms such as Panopto (currently only one video source can be saved instead of one explicit presenter and one explicit content window
  • Needs a bigger marketplace similar to Zoom
  • Virtual backgrounds needs improvement and should include motion backgrounds
  • Consolidate all the different products (Webex Meetings, Event, Training, Support centers) into one product
  • Allow fullscreen video of presenter video on secondary monitor
Anonymous | TrustRadius Reviewer

TeamViewer Meeting (formerly Blizz)

  • You can sense that the product is still in development/introduction stages, but has the potential of getting bigger
  • Some UI improvements are necessary
  • Not a lot of public awareness

Cisco Webex Meetings is a platform that consistently performs well and outperforms some of the other solutions that we have used, such as Zoom. It is user friendly and helps our organization accomplish the goal of connecting with external contacts to conduct meetings and share information

Cisco Webex Meetings is a really easy-to-use solution. Cisco has a mentality linked to joining meetings: one button to push. There is always the same big green button that appears everywhere—on invitation emails, in the calendar, on videoconferencing devices, on the application in our phones and tablets. One button and the meeting is started. Anyone can start a meeting. The solution is therefore minimally demanding for IT teams, and even easy to set up and support for smaller environments where there simply isn't an IT team.

Has always been very reliable with only a couple of issues in the past year. Video and audio quality is always very good, however the platform does struggle with many people on video and audio (could also have something to do with computer bandwidth). We had over 50 people on a video call and found the platform to crash repeatedly, however for something like this I would recommend leveraging Webex events

Overall performance of loading the application is fast. On occasions, the meeting can take time to load in the browser version. The app usually loads faster both on desktop and mobile. Integration with MS Outlook is available. While I have not noticed [...] reduced performance within Cisco Webex Meetings because of this integration, I have seen delays in MS Outlook when adding the meeting link to calendars

The response time is very fast via email. Most of the time, they also follow-up with a call but I usually need my questions answered via email.I think their support emails are bit bland and impersonal. They may think it's a good idea to list all applicable managers in their emails but that's not really all the important to me. In fact seeing so many people listed makes me wonder if I'd have to contact someone else to get my question answered or problem resolved.

The last time I had interaction with Blizz by TeamViewer support was directly on their website in the Help option, I sent them a written message, and in a few minutes, they had already answered me.I think the technical service is efficient.

We mostly use training from Cisco's online training programs which is very informative and can be easily incorporated into our daily schedules without disrupting our normal working activities. There are many online training materials are available on cisco's website as well as other third-party training companies may also provide additional training.

That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

Alternatives Considered

Webex Meetings

I find Cisco Webex Meetings to be the easiest to use from the following standpoints:- Google Hangouts can have firewall issues for my customers; Cisco Webex Meetings doesn't- Our company finds it hard at times to take presenter rights in Teams, and we often need to present- Skype can be difficult to log into; Cisco Webex Meetings isn't- Some of my accounts weren't allowed by their internal IT teams to use Zoom when Zoom had security issues; Cisco Webex Meetings was always considered an acceptable option

I’ve previously used household names like Zoom and Skype for my video conference calls, but neither provides as much as Blizz in terms of scheduling features. And to be honest, Blizz’s user interface and connectivity are as good if not better than those platforms, despite its relative newness.

Return on Investment

Webex Meetings

  • Webex Meetings has made it a seamless experience with meeting with customers during the pandemic.
  • Some customers are moving away from Webex Meetings to MS Teams due to costs which need to be reduced to compete.
  • Having face to face meetings via Webex Meetings has reduced travel costs when an in-person meeting is not necessary.

  • Blizz ensures that my service quality rating is not compromised due to bad connectivity. Return on investment is 100%.
  • Blizz has a modern and simple design. This makes it easy for the user to get started as there is no learning curve.
  • Remote screen share is slick and the Blizz controls on-screen take up minimal space, taking nothing away from the user experience.
