Groove is a sales engagement platform that enables sales leaders to execute their strategy in a smarter and more adaptive way. With Groove, revenue leaders can use automation to do more with less, with the goal of driving greater efficiency and effectiveness across the customer lifecycle. Groove states they enable more than 75,000 users at ADP, Google, Uber, iHeartMedia, Capital One, and other large enterprises.
Gong is a lot more in depth and has a much more data rich approach to the sales cycle than Groove. While groove is good at keeping your communication in line and on time, Gong really dominates when it comes to searching recorded calls and finding the key topics/exchanges you …
I don't have much experience with Gong so it's difficult to determine how the two stack up. In my limited usage of Gong, it seems less intuitive than Groove. I was able to eventually figure out how to do basic functions within Gong but still prefer using Groove for similar tasks.
The ease of use, pricing, installation and most importantly the connection to Campaigns were the deciding factor for Groove. The CSM and implementation team were a bonus!
Better and more integrations! Easier to use and has less issues compare to previous tools that we have used. Offers more features that can be utilized by multiple teams

Groove saved our team a lot of money compared to Salesloft who we used to have a contract with. Groove was much more simple and straight forward and more aligned with syncing to our CRM. Groove also has reps available every hour every business day in case we need assistance or …
Before Groove I used Outreach at my last organization and think the tools are pretty similar. I will say I like the flow steps better in Groove and the analytics are better to me. The design also looks nicer on Groove.
I prefer Groove over Salesloft, Outreach.io, Close.io, etc because it designed for the rep not the manager or the administrator. Makes the rep life easier which increased productivity and provides accuracy in the CRM. My reps have adopted Groove so much faster than any …
One of the main reasons why we chose to switch from Outreach to Groove, was due to the fact that Groove is an app that sits in our SFDC instance, and integrates with Gsuite. While Outreach does have an integration with SFDC and Gsuite, it required more admin work in setting up …
Utilizing Engage (this may be an internal tool) & Seismic Live Send. Seismic Live Send overs similar tracking. I've just found very low response rate/email opens from the tool vs. Groove. The only advantage Seismic had was quick access to all of our internal marketing that …

We use custom objects so we are thankful to have Groove. Other engagement tools like Salesloft and Outreach do not use custom objects, so Groove was a no-brainer for us.
Groove doesn't compare to any other products we have used and its functionality and data entry is far above any competitor! Without Groove day business would not be the same!
Groove has way better features and is easier to use. Yesware did allow you to organize your flows by folder which was nice. I am not a fan of the labels in Groove, I think they are pointless.
For ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp, I was an end-user. Setting up campaigns was confusing and clunky. Groove makes setting up campaigns way easier and smoother.
Although I wasn't the decision maker, I have found that Groove's data tracking is slightly more user friendly than Yesware. Additionally, Groove has made themselves fully available for any trouble shooting or tech issues which is such a value add to someone who can be a bit …
Gong is a wonderful tool to be able to make sure that a call is recorded properly with next steps highlighted by an AI once the transcript has been processed. Our organization uses the clip functionality quite often to share a prospect question internally with the appropriate parties, and the sales and CS teams have it synced to SFDC so they can see the opportunity value associated with each call.
Groove is excellent for the use case of improving sales representative and customer success representative productivity and data quality when used alongside Salesforce. It is a Salesforce focused tool. You should definitely consider Groove if you are a current Salesloft / Outreach user and you also use Salesforce.
Groove would not be a good fit for an organization not using Salesforce.
The history is quite useful in many aspects of my daily work, as I have a complete and detailed view of transcribed calls and email summaries of previously exchanged emails.
It's like an assistant; I can receive email reminders about things discussed during a video call, such as the upcoming date of a scheduled meeting or notes on certain key aspects the client needs for their order.
I can share calls through Gong with my clients. This gives me an added advantage, allowing the client to have reminders or a record of what was discussed without having to worry about manually taking notes.
The interface is complex but easy to learn, has many assistant-like features, and can also be integrated into many calling platforms, such as Zoom.
Gong is one of the best if not the best tools we have in or tech stack in terms of ROI and ease of use. The ai features that have been released over the past year have continued to add value and are not just shiny new features that don't get used. It is also an easy to use platform for our sales and customer success reps, takes very little time to become proficient in. The deal boards also provide great visibility into opps for management and leadership
I actually don't have any complaint regarding groove. It's just that I will give 9 since I confidently believe that there'd be updates in the future which would be more optimal not just for us users but for the business as well. The only regret I have with groove is I was not able to use it before the current company that I'm employed
By default it automatically provides a lot of proactive information. Out of the box you can get a lot of value from what gets recorded with minimal setting adjustment. The effort you put in to enhancing it just makes it all the more powerful but you do not have to have a dedicated admin to get basic usage out of it.
Groove has been an awesome platform to use for sales pipeline management. I really enjoy how it integrates with my Salesforce, Gmail, and Google Calendar. It makes my job easier by helping me keep track of the progress of each sales contact that I have. Leads are able to reply and notify us using Groove.
I give them a 10 because, I have been using Gong for over a year now and have never had issues or concerns go un resolved in a day or two. Their communication is impeccable and their tech support is very hands on and prompt
My company has a team dedicated to supporting our implementation of operative tools and business systems such as Groove. For this reason, I feel that we have ample support for Groove, although I have not personally contacted Groove for any support issues.
At Nearpod, I have been impressed with the internal expertise and support around Groove as a key tool for the Sales and Customer Success business systems and operations.
I've used Chorus at a past company. It seems to do the transcriptions similarly accurately to Gong. Good enough call recording. The call feedback can be done too although maybe not as easily. I do not believe Chorus can create call playlists. I do feel there are a lot less analytics pieces to Chorus too. There are many feature addons in Gong to help sales motions.
Groove is simple. Like their competitors, they give you the ability to create templated "Flows" (sequences) of calls, emails, and LinkedIn touches. Some of them can be automated, but it's also simple to personalize outreach. Ultimately, my decision to purchase Groove over some of the competitors was based on their Salesforce integration, as well as white-glove customer service.
saves a lot of time, mainly thanks to call summaries & next steps as well as workflows allowing to automate communication
I could say that generally speaking it does increase revenue because you can do more work in the same period of time > more leads, more opportunities, more sales
Reduced several hours a week of logging time in Salesforce that either wouldn't get done or would have been done to the detriment of more value add activities.
Saves hours per week by delivering actionable/useful info from Salesforce into Gmail
Gives me valuable insight on what emails are being opened and read. This helps plan targeting.
