The public relations department of our agency uses Cision PR Software. We've been using it for several years, and my previous agency also utilized the tool. In particular, we use it almost daily for researching media contracts and creating lists.

Cision PR is used by our organization in three ways. First, we use it to curate lists of media in every DMA throughout the country. Second, we use it to send press release blasts to the media, and third, we use it to track when our clients are being mentioned in the media or social media.

Cision PR has allowed me to do my job efficiently and seamlessly. We, in the office of marketing and communications, are able to keep all of our press releases and media lists in one place and access them whenever we need to. We have specific lists for a variety of topics for each campus. I also configure reports and either export them or print them out for presentations and meetings. I have found that the support staff at Cision PR is always available to help and answer any questions that I have. That means a lot, even if I have the smallest issue.

I selected Cision PR Software for our division to use. I also manage our PR agency and have set them up with a user seat in the software. The business problem it addresses is providing monthly reports for our executives to track our ROI and metrics. It also is very useful for building out media lists to pitch to. Our PR agency also distributes our news blasts as they are relevant to certain media lists we have built.

We leverage Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* to provide a deeper analysis of media coverage for our agency clients this includes monthly, quarterly and annual coverage reports, daily alerts, etc. We find the most value when we have key competitors and key messages tracked to provide actionable insight. Plus the ability to tie in Google Analytics to see what coverage is driving traffic has been enlightening.

Cision PR is used by our employees in the U.S.to build lists of key journalists, research target publications and distribute press releases. We use Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* to actively monitor the digital stories published in various motorcycle, 4-wheel, outdoor industry and PWC segments. We generate reporting on the basis of the value of coverage, share of voice and in comparison to our competition. We also use this tool to identify key media contacts, to solicit their interest in generating content for Kawasaki and in order to understand trending topics in the industry.

It is being used across the whole organization, but primarily by me. It addresses the very real business problem of proof of performance. In public relations, gaining measurable insight into how awareness translates into performance is difficult. The other meaningful business problem it solves is it reduces the time myself and my team need to dedicate to reporting. Since the dashboard and metrics are so simple and 'self-serving' - it means neither me or anyone on my team needs to burn several hours working in the tool. This is valuable time now that can be spent on more important tasks like pitching and securing coverage for my clients.

We are using Nima solely in the PR department, but the reports that we generate go out to our executive team to assess the reach and value of PR campaigns. Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* allows PR to spend more time on high priority items rather than searching and tracking media coverage. We have a small PR team, so every hour matters.

We use Cision Communication Cloud (Trendkite) for two main objectives: real-time tracking of media insertions that our team gets placed for clients, and research for current clients and new business presentations. The research primarily revolves around share of media voice and competitive media coverage. Cision's tracking is comprehensive and the service has been very responsive, especially while setting up the boolean filters. We like the dashboard for client presentations. Clients have said they are able to share Cision graphs with their senior leadership teams without needing to adapt them.

Currently, Cision Communications Cloud (Trendkite)* is used for PR measurement purposes.
We use it for:
- Clients: to create EOM or quarterly reports, in order to show primarily media coverage and share of voice.
- Prospects: to perform research on their coverage, targeted publications, and competitors.
- Research: we don't use it for this purpose as much. But I've found that the tool is useful to do research on a specific topic or something beyond traditional media coverage. For a prospect, we wanted to understand how an alliance with Facebook would impact their coverage. So we did research on a competitor and its alliance with Facebook to be able to do that projection.

We currently use Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* in the Marketing and Public Relations department. We use it to track media mentions, sentiment, social media, presence in the market. It is used only in our department but for the whole organization. It allows us to track all of the mentioned in a fast and efficient manner. It also allows us to show board members and city officials our successes easily.

Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* is the best tool available to track organic PR. It allows you to see trending over time, competitor comparisons, geographic highlights, and more. We use Cision to measure the impact of our public relations efforts regularly. It's much simpler than trying to manage and measure activities manually, or from other tools.
