We are a large automobile dealership - with 4 locations. Most locations are about 100 miles away from each other, so of course, we rely heavily on ScreenConnect to resolve our day-to-day issues in all locations. I head up the I. T. Dept. and encourage my staff to use this product when helping our employees. It has proven itself extremely valuable keeping our systems running smoothly. I would highly recommend this product to others.
  • Connectivity - Very quick and easy to access. Does not load very much on each machine...and is user friendly.
  • Complete - Out of the box, ScreenConnect can make your system run more efficiently because you can simply 'remote' into a PC and teach an end user what to do - or what they are doing wrong. It doesn't block the user's screen, but has functions so you can lock them out if they are trying to override your mouse.
  • Great tool to use for asset management. This program catches the computer name and can be customized to categorize PC's into separate departments.
  • I would like to see ScreenConnect capture programs installed without having to bother the end user. Having the CMD module is good, but sometimes it is hard to navigate. It would be really remarkable if it could capture serials numbers (or partial serial numbers) for MS Office.
  • There has been a need for one employee to use to connect with another employee. Of course this is something I would not want to do, because it cannot be segmented off. If you give a user access, they have access to everyone...not just a specific user.
  • It would be great if you could enlarge the screen capture of what the machine is doing without letting the end user know you are watching (kind of like re-sizing the screen to appear larger).
This program is great to help someone else out of a snag with printers or when using particular software. It has allowed our staff to remote into another PC and kind of like 'train' an end user without having to even be near the other PC. I do not like the feature of not being able to capture more information about the PC. Even a programmable field would be idea when trying to track a PC - from an I.T. vs Asset stand point.

It is being used by me, the Director of IT, to support client machines at multiple remote locations. It keeps travel to a minimum and the response time quick. It also helps to perform maintenance on the machines after hours and by having this remote ability, makes any and all work performed on the machines that much easier.
  • Quick remote access
  • Messaging and screen drawing are a plus
  • Shows the specs of the remote computer
  • Needs ability to easily remove the screen preview of the client for security
  • Two step security login would be nice
  • Would be nice if the messenger would automatically pop up on the client PC screen instead of minimized
ScreenConnect is well suited for IT support to be able to access all computers. However, if you want to add another limited user, it would be nice to limit them only to a certain group of PC's and disable certain functions such as screen preview so there is more privacy for the clients.

We have less than 50 employees, two locations and our IT team consists of two employees. Our secondary location does not have any IT on site but ScreenConnect has made it very easy for us to quickly provide long distance (and local) support any user may require, without requiring any input on their end. It also allows us to do any unattended remote work or install any required updates on a per user basis. Other solutions provided limited access to troubleshooting, where ScreenConnect allowed us to fully troubleshoot any software-related issues.
  • Installation is extremely easy. Create a client for each user, deploy them into each machine, and you have a full list of every managed device you have set up. Configuration is straightforward. Updating the main client, as well as each managed device, is as easy as clicking a few buttons.
  • Plenty of customization and configuration that allows you to organize your managed devices however way you like. Very useful when working with multiple locations, different types of users, etc.
  • Instant access to the devices, without any delay in controls.
  • No limitation to User Account Control settings imposed by other remote software, allowing our IT team to provide support to standard account users without requiring local access.
  • While the ability to configure your managed devices is extensive, the user interface could be a little easier. Many of the configurations are enabled by setting conditions.
  • Display of multi-screen setups can be quirky.
  • Annotation functionalities are only partially functional at this time.
When configured properly, ScreenConnect can be used by companies of any sizes, as well as to provide support for other companies and clients. While other remote desktop solutions out there are specifically tailored to a type of support (e.g., LogMeIn Rescue), ScreenConnect can be used both for providing in-house support as well as providing support for outside clients. The huge benefit to ScreenConnect is that it can be also used as an alternative to GoToMeeting, allowing meetings to be set up easily.

ScreenConnect is used to support our customers by the escalation team, or to help with setup and configuration of the software.

The biggest business impact that ScreenConnect provides is that it greatly minimizes how often we have to send engineers out to the field to solve complex issues. This increases customer satisfaction and keeps down costs.
  • Very high successful connection rate.
  • Fast and easy to get the session started.
  • Responsive and easy to use.
  • Better refresh rate, especially when trying to watch video remotely.
ScreenConnect is a great fit for anyone that needs to connect to remote users/customers.
It is not suitable if there is a need to watch video remotely.

We use ScreenConnect for our remote client app to connect remotely with clients and provide support on our software.
  • Quick and easy connection.
  • Easy to execute and understand for our clients/user-friendly.
  • Cloud server allows for ease of use and no need for server updates or management.
  • Process for setting up unattended support - the build app for client machine download requires a little tech knowledge... would be great if it was an auto-drop on client machine.
  • Would be nice to have more refined user security... currently one home base houses all agent sessions, and all users have ability to edit/manage other agent sessions which could result in someone mistakingly deleting an active session for another user. Would be nice if this was management level access only, and individual agents didn't have access to other sessions unless invited by hosting agent.
[It's] great for providing remote client support.

As an outsourced IT support company for small and medium businesses, we utilize ScreenConnect as a means of remote access for our customers. We use both unattended and ad-hoc connections as needed to connect to and maintain our customer's computers and networks.
  • Lightweight installer
  • Both unattended and ad-hoc utility
  • Customizable interface and grouping options
  • Excellent support
  • Owned by a company that constantly listens to feedback and adds features
  • Good feature set: wake lock, locking of keyboard/mouse, reboot and reconnect - including safe mode, etc.
  • No file system or registry access without remote connection
  • Limited reporting on computers or groups of computers (pulling event logs, installed programs, etc.)
As a company we have used several competitors of ScreenConnect but have found we are constantly reflecting on how much better ScreenConnect works for us as a company. One example is being able to have more than one technician be able to connect to a remote computer - this encourages collaborative troubleshooting and allows us to resolve tickets more quickly. This also gives our technicians the ability to build each other up, teach troubleshooting techniques, and expands their knowledge base as opposed to just passing tickets off and forgetting about them.

I use ScreenConnect (now called Control) to support my clients' workstations and servers.
  • Easy connections
  • Full Branding
  • Getting emails returned from sales is like PULLING TEETH!
  • No chat function until connected to client.
  • Mac Client causes security warnings and I have to direct clients to system preferences > Security > Open Anyway.
Unattended connections work amazingly well. Getting clients to install the client is confusing on a Mac due to the security warnings.

We have been utilizing screenconnect for our IT department, and use it to provide remote support to our users. This product has worked much better for us, compared to GoToAssist which we had previously used. Screenconnect also provides a lower cost model, allowing us to purchase multiple licenses for concurrent sessions.
  • Provides easy connections for users
  • Provides easy meeting access with whiteboard abilities
  • Includes access clients to provide unattended support
  • Easy to use portal for users to access
  • Configurable user and admin permissions
  • Provide the ability to integrate screenconnect into ticketing systems
  • Allow for multiple portals to be configured
  • Allow for more customization and branding
We always had issues with GoToAssist, where users would get a link to connect but would have major issues actually starting their session. This has now gone away, as screenconnect provides a solid and easy connection for users to follow. Our connection times have been cut down to 30 seconds, versus GoToAssist connections taking upwards of 5 minutes to connect.

I personally use it to do remote training with my clients, to connect to my client's remotely located computers and assist them in performing accounting tasks or perform accounting tasks for them remotely, and occasionally to hold online meetings with my virtual independent contractors regarding company projects. As a single member LLC company with no employees, use of ScreenConnect is limited for this company to just me.
  • Uninterrupted remote connection so that I can access my client's computers even when they are not available to turn them on.
  • Ease of use on the support side. It's not too difficult for me to set up new remote sessions.
  • The ease of use from my Mac computer is much less than I have seen it can be on the Windows side. I'd really like to see features improved for Mac.
  • I have had a recurring error with one client in particular where I can only work on their machine if I darken their view of the work I am doing - which isn't always ideal in my situation.
I definitely believe that ScreenConnect is well suited for remote support for computer issues, but for me it has also been a fantastic and affordable resource for remote support of accounting clients. It makes trainings much easier when I can not only direct clients where to click and what to do, but also take over and show them. And, in terms of supporting clients who just want us to log in and do the work remotely it is also a great resource. I cannot think of any remote support application that it would not be well suited for. As for meetings, it isn't our best option or first choice. We tend to like other meeting platforms better for our organizational meetings - mostly because the audio functionality just isn't there.

We currently use ScreenConnect to connect with my clients for on-demand remote support, to access client equipment unattended for maintenance and upgrade tasks, and to access my own computers and servers while away from the office. The software is used by myself and one additional technician on a daily basis. I found ScreenConnect to be easier to walk the remote client through getting connected than the leading competitors.
  • The most common use for us is getting connected to remote users who need immediate help. ScreenConnect is easy for even the most novice of users to understand how to get connected.
  • The remote reboot feature is a definite plus, and works even in some cases where the computer has become unresponsive. Safe mode is helpful when removing malware also.
  • The toolbox feature is another huge benefit. We have ours filled with troubleshooting and malware removal tools. It saves us the time of downloading these utilities on each machine. Once we place the utility in the toolbox we know we have the most current version on every machine we work on.
  • The iPhone app has been problematic with support. It has gone through several revisions which often result in the app not working. The now current version opens sessions to only a black screen.
I have recommended ScreenConnect to a few colleagues and have had nothing but good reviews. It does not limit which logins can access which machines, so it's not ideal for a multiuser remote access solution. But it does work perfect for any type of remote support/service company.

We use Screenconnect as an easy way to access systems that we support. It gives us a machine that is locally connected to the network we need access to without the need for a VPN account.
  • Quick remote access is key to our work. ScreenConnect offers a great solution to enable that access and use it as needed.
  • File transfer to and from the remote machine is an important feature.
  • The ability to have multiple people viewing a single machine at the same time helps with training new team members.
  • I am not a Mac user but a few on my team are. I hear from them that the functionality isn't great on the Mac platform.
  • Better security on the mobile app. Once you've logged in then the application is open and anyone can access your machines. If you lose your phone you could be vulnerable to someone accessing your machines without knowing your credentials.
When you need an easy way to access remote machines, ScreenConnect is hard to beat. In some uses customers are uncomfortable with the use of this sort of application and require using a VPN connection instead.

We use it for help desk and server monitoring for clients. The features of this product which are the most valuable to me are Persistent access and Remote access. The ease of end-user installation session were big factors in the decision [to use this product].

The product works very well and is easy for end users to install. I really like it.

  • The app is very responsive - almost no lag.
  • It's very easy for end-users to install as a support session.
  • It's possible to use this product for alerting and monitoring of servers.
  • Security is good, you can take advantage of 2 factor auth.
  • I would like to see a full-blown thick client/desktop application.
  • I rate technical support as moderate: Phone support takes 1/2 a day to return my call but they offer chat and email as well. This is at a premium price but is worth it given the responsiveness of the app.
  • I would like to see more user-friendly configuration. Setting up permissions is possible but not easy to do. Setting up permissions and groups in the portal is NOT simple or intuitive by any stretch. It’s actually convoluted and took me a while to figure out how to accomplish it. It’s done with Roles and you need to assign users to roles, (not roles to users) and then associate the groups with roles.
It's great for all aspects of remote support and server access. The only thing it doesn't offer is a conference call feature like GoToMeeting does. Aside from that, it's an excellent product and I have recommended it to colleagues.

Being an IT based company we use ScreenConnect every day across the whole organization to provide remote computer support. We troubleshoot, diagnose and fix a majority of our client's issues without ever leaving the office.
  • ScreenConnect has a very small footprint running on the client devices compared to some other remote software solutions that are overly bloated.
  • ScreenConnect's ability to re-connect either after a reboot or for some other unforeseen internet issue is amazing.
  • ScreenConnect has the easiest and most fluid way for a client to reach out for remote support.
  • I have honestly no complaints or recommendations for areas of improvements for ScreenConnect. It just works and works well.

It is used primarily for IT related support, to connect to any of our 200 users across 2 locations. It provides faster response times by remotely connecting to the user's PC.
  • Faster response and remediation of computer issues at remote locations.
  • Means no travel time required to respond to a PC based issue.
  • Ability to connect to remote unattended computers.
  • No need for remote staff to be in front of the computer or server, so no delays accessing the machine.
  • Meetings can be created to bring staff together in one place.
  • While we don't actively use this feature much, it is there for the odd occasion where managers may need to have a quick meeting with remote staff.
  • None that come to hand.
ScreenConnect is well suited for any business that has many computers, whether it be in one location or many locations.

For our company, we use ScreenConnect for some of our Technical Support departments. The Technical Support team uses this aoftware to connect to remote system to assist our customers with router, WiFi access point, and range extender configuration for our hardware that they have purchased from us. We also use the ability to connect to smartphones to assist as well.
  • ScreenConnect provides the same services as TeamViewer or LogMeIn but at a much better price point.
  • ScreenConnect allows for several different methods for establishing a remote connection. This makes it easy to communicate an easy method to our customers.
  • ScreenConnect has been a stable remote session that has not had any technical issues that have prevented us from using as desired. Great and stable software.
  • ScreenConnect could probably charge more for the service and I would probably still pay.
  • ScreenConnect functionality is just what we needed.
  • At the time of our purchase, there was no Android support, ScreenConnect reps were able to provide information and let me know that developement was underway.
ScreenConnect is possibly the best and most cost effective alternate to TeamViewer or LogMeIn. It is stable and works best in a help desk type scenarios. Overall I feel TeamViewer is best for personal and non-commercial use. ScreenConnect has meet and exceeded all the requirements for our business use and at their prices, it has been the best possible solution.

I use ScreenConnect to remote into our company's workstations for troubleshooting. I also use it to monitor our servers and applications when I am away from the office. It is used by the IT/Bank Operations department to assist users in several locations.
  • I like the web based GUI and the layout of the web page. It is very intuitive to use.
  • I also like the statistics that it provides for the workstations. In particular, the uptime and versioning information is very useful to me.
  • A few weeks ago I would have recommended improvement to the access layout for the workstations but that has been fixed in the latest release. It is now much better as I can view more of my workstations at a glance.
  • I have not had a chance to utilize the meeting functionality yet, but that will be a nice addition.
Right now I have a pretty specific use for just the remote access functionality and it works very well, especially with many of my users that have multiple monitors.

I am a sole trader at AWJ IT. I have been using ScreenConnect before it engaged in the business deal with ConnectWise. I have always used it for myself, in order to have easier access to my computers and servers, as well as support my own customers remotely from far distances. I moved 70 miles away from my home town 2 years ago, and as it becomes costly to travel to my customers in my old home town, I use screenconnect to connect with them and support them.
  • Screenconnect provides fast and high quality remote access to customer machines. It is easy for the customer to install the software, and equally as easy for the technician to connect to the remote machine. This makes ScreenConnect so easy to use.
  • Screenconnect has audio broadcasting features, which allow the customer and the technician to speak and hear each other. This works particularly well, and allows myself as a technician to explain what I am doing and ask the customer questions, and allows the customers to easily ask their questions and/or voice their concerns. This brings excellent benefits to customer service, which is another reason I would recommend screenconnect.
  • Screenconnect is highly customisable and allows you to brand the website side of it, as well as the software part of it too. Customers will see my own brand, and this is great for customer relations, as they will know who I am, and trust the software they are installing on their computers.
  • There is only one issue I have had with screenconnect, and that is the fact that when users install the software, they do receive unverified publisher warnings, and sometimes the browser (especially chrome and I think Firefox) will disregard it as malicious, causing concerns for the customer. This also complicates the installation process.
ScreenConnect is well suited for any IT company that wishes to remotely connect with its customers. It works with all operating systems very well.

We're fascinated with ScreenConnect. It has saved us time commuting to our client's office, which has helped us to provide faster customer support. It also has some great features like screen recording to keep track of our connections and support quality. Besides, the app is pretty straightforward, making it easy for clients to run the app. It is definitely worth it.
  • Easy to use for clients
  • Constant updates and improved features
  • Screen recording
  • It would be nice to have a desktop for clients extension
It's great for customer support in the IT industry, for example. However, it's not appropiate for personal use. It would be nice to have a feature for your own computer, tablets or smartphones with a better pricing for consumers. This would be very useful and would expand their app capability and presence, like when an older relative asks for help with their computer and you're not near them.

I was using ScreenConnect to remote access into various workstations I have and also to access client workstations. ScreenConnect allowed me to access client workstations whether they were a MAC or PC easily and at a reasonable price.
  • ScreenConnect is easy to set up on the administrative side.
  • Easy to access the remote stations via web browsers.
  • They have a great support team if you have questions.
  • Connection establishment between the two workstations could be more reliable at the base level pricing option.
ScreenConnect is great if you need access to the remote workstation occasionally (this is a the "one" price level), and better if you manage multiple remote stations ("standard" price level). It may not be the best option if you want a lower price but need a consistently reliable remote connection.

We use Screenconnect to remote control and manage our staff's desktops, laptops and tablets across Australia. It addresses the problem to use different software to remote control devices, and keeps everything centralized in a single pane of glass - and staff having to use different machines to remote control the computers.
  • It manages devices with multiple monitors very well, and is easily configurable to use 1, 2 or all screens.
  • It has a lot of useful plugins that you can integrate with the session, and within the ScreenConnect environment.
  • I particularly like the Command Prompt integration feature, when you can't access the main desktop or environment, because the User Account is locked.
  • It shows an easy overview of which devices are online, offline and how long they have been idle.
  • The one-off Support Sessions, or Meetings are particularly useful, when directing a user to the Support Page so we can jump into their session.
  • Windows 10 support seems to have some problems from time to time. But I'm sure that will resolve itself over time.
  • There is a bug that seems to be apparent on Windows 10 - where you can't view the user's device, unless you blank their screens - and then you can see the desktop - which apparently is only in Windows 10. This is really annoying.
It's great tool if you want a simple cloud management environment to remote control devices in your organization, but still has a lot of functionality inside that you can use if you need to down the track. It's also great for ad-hoc support customers that you just need to direct to a website and they can just join a session so you can support them.

We use ScreenConnect to provide user support to our clients.
  • We love how easy it is to connect users to a remote session. Not all of our client's are technology savvy, so using ScreenConnect has been a huge improvement over the previous products we've used.
  • We love the ability to print to our local printer and our PDF driver! Many of the other products we tried don't have that capability (or it's a limited function).
  • We love the flexibility to switch screens, which is useful when we do our training sessions.
  • I have honestly not found anything that I would say needs improvement.

We tried using ScreenConnect for technical support purposes. From a usability standpoint it's great - really good functionality, easy to get customers connected. However, we ran into repeated issues with the web app/admin panel crashing and not coming back online. The support guys were very knowledgeable, however they work purely on an American timezone (despite being an international company). I waited on one occasion for roughly 4-5 hours on their live chat waiting for a response to an urgent issue (see web app crashing - above) and eventually had a response while I was out on lunch. I did speak to one of their accounts staff after this to request a refund, and was told I would receive a call back from their manager as soon as he became available. This call never came.

Overall I really liked ScreenConnect, and if I worked on a US timezone I would probably take another look at it. In the end we decided to move elsewhere simply because as a UK company with UK customers, we couldn't continue using a system supported from overseas. We rely too heavily on screenshare software to wait for an 8 hour time difference on support requests - really I don't think they should advertise as an international business until they can provide reasonable levels of support within their customer's time zones.
  • Good functionality (range of in-app features, e.g. annotation).
  • Launched and managed from a web app, so easily accessible.
  • Quick - the software was very fast when connected with a customer (when compared to other similar screenshare software).
  • The international support needs a LOT of improvement. Supporting UK businesses from a US timezone provides a very poor experience for the customer, especially one that relies heavily upon your product.
  • Poor organisation - it's disappointing to have a company who mention their own customer service prowess so heavily on their website, not call you back when they have arranged to do so.
ScreenConnect is great if you're a US-timezone company who has the time to work with their support team if/when issues arise. As a screenshare tool it is excellent, but when issues do crop up you need to be able to get in touch with a knowledgeable technician quickly.

ScreenConnect is used primarily for me and my assistant to remote in to about a dozen computers that control our automation software for our broadcast facilities. This allows us to access all computers from one at the facility or to access them from another location
  • Allows me to instantly see if any computers are offline. This allows me to know whether there is a network, internet, or computer problem.
  • Access multiple computers in one instance. Sometimes actions need to take place on multiple machines at the same time or nearly the same time. This ability allows me to accomplish this task.
  • File transfer. Downloading media files and transferring them to on-air machines are daily functions we do. The file transfer application accomplishes this task very nicely.
  • ScreenConnect just works. Being able to remote in to our machines is sometimes a convenience, but often a necessity. A reliable product is key for us. It needs to work when we need to use it. ScreenConnect has been 100% reliable for us so far.
  • Accessing computers through browser. I'd like to see ScreenConnect have its own app. Having to use a browser is not as convenient.
  • Dashboard layout. Scrolling through my computers in the top-half window feels clunky to me. I'd rather seem them listed in a frame that takes up the entire height of the browser screen.
  • Simply can't come up with a third area of improvement. Sorry.
1. Remote office computers to do online paperwork.
2. Works really well to remotely run broadcast automation software.
3. Allows instant verification that all machines are online.

I use it internally and externally. Internally, I use it to connect to my employees' computers to assist them on tasks they can't figure out. My workforce is remote, working from home, so this works great. Also, I use it to share my screen and do training with them. Externally, I use it to do QuickBooks consulting. I will connect to a client's computer to help them with QuickBooks or to share my screen and show them how to do something in QuickBooks.
  • The price for the service matches the value I receive.
  • It's easy to launch.
  • My screen connect with certain people has been slow. Even though I know that me and the othersides up/download speed is very fast.
  • There was a sales guy that kept calling me asking me about my trial of screen connect long after I paid for a year of service. It was as if he didn't know I signed up.
It depends on your situation. Prior to starting my own business, the CPA firm I worked for would not have a need for it because they didn't have a remote workforce and didn't offer remote connect to help clients with accounting software. Because of the way I set up my business, with remote workforce, it made sense to have a subscription to Screen Connect.
