Conversica has become a valuable tool for businesses across various industries. It addresses the problem of leads staying stagnant in the database without engagement and ensures that potential clients and prospects are not slipping through the cracks. Users have found Conversica to be effective in reaching out to low-value leads, engaging old leads, and warming up leads before they are sent to the sales team. The AI Sales Assistant in Conversica is able to initiate and maintain conversations with these leads until they are ready for a sales conversation with a human. Additionally, Conversica is used as a lead retention tool, providing persistent follow-ups with cold leads and attempting to win back canceled accounts. By implementing Conversica, businesses have seen an increase in conversion rates and lead turnover, while also saving time in lead qualification and support quotes. It has proven particularly helpful for sales and marketing teams, as it generates warm leads at a competitive price per lead and ensures that all digital, webinar, and event leads are contacted. In addition to sales and marketing departments, Conversica has been successfully utilized by recruitment departments to handle a large number of hot leads received through traditional marketing email automation. Overall, users recommend Conversica to other businesses due to its effectiveness in improving lead engagement and conversion rates.

Exceptional Support: Users have consistently praised the exceptional support provided by the Conversica team, with multiple reviewers highlighting their understanding of business models, goals, and metrics. They appreciate the continuous efforts made by Jen Amundgaard and Caleb Clapp to improve campaigns and optimize the use of the service. The commitment to customer success and responsiveness throughout the purchasing journey and ongoing support has been highly valued.

Time-Saving Automation: Many users find Conversica's service valuable for working with low-level leads and identifying those that show genuine interest in their product or service. By automating outreach, sales and account managers can focus on other activities, saving time and resources. This feature has been seen as a significant benefit.

Engaging Unresponsive Leads: Several users have praised Conversica's effectiveness in engaging unresponsive leads and reaching out to database segments that had lost contact. They consider this capability impossible to replicate with human capital investments. Conversica's ability to bridge the gap between users and potential clients through non-promotional, soft touchpoints for reengagement has been highly appreciated.

Confusing User Interface: Some users have found the user interface of Conversica to be confusing, stating that it could be improved to enhance usability.

Limited Reporting Capabilities: Users have expressed dissatisfaction with the limited reporting capabilities in Conversica. They feel that there is a lack of ability to delve deeper into reports once they are initially created.

Lack of Flexibility in Messaging Options: According to user feedback, some users have mentioned that Conversica lacks flexibility in messaging options. They feel that more varied responses and approaches would be beneficial for their communication needs.

Users commonly recommend the following actions when using Conversica:

  1. Start using Conversica as soon as possible to increase business. Users advise implementing Conversica at the earliest opportunity to capitalize on its potential for generating leads and assigning them in a structured sales process. They emphasize the importance of actively participating in training and customization of Conversica to achieve optimal results.

  2. Treat Conversica as a valuable team member and solicit feedback on conversations. It is suggested to treat Conversica as an integral part of the team and seek feedback on its conversations. This approach can lead to better alignment with sales goals and customer expectations. Additionally, actively monitoring and interacting with Conversica is essential for success.

  3. Have the necessary resources and personnel to manage Conversica effectively. Users recommend having a good IT person available to troubleshoot any AI-related issues. It is also important to have a plan in place and ensure a clean database before utilizing Conversica for outreach. Moreover, having dedicated resources and personnel who can manage Conversica effectively is critical for maximizing its impact on lead generation and engagement.

Overall, users highly recommend integrating Conversica into sales processes, starting early, actively managing it, seeking feedback, and dedicating adequate resources to achieve significant benefits in lead generation and customer engagement.

We are using Conversica to assist us in reaching out to old leads in an attempt to re-engage their interest. This helps our team still focus on the new leads coming in and still we are able to get successful results on running campaigns to older leads. Another way we use Conversica is on canceled accounts to attempt winning back their business. We currently are only using it on the sales side of our business.
  • Conversica does a great job of consistently reaching back out to previous leads. We have seen great success from utilizing this tool over the past year.
  • Conversica also does a great job of setting the table for our sales rep to reach out by trying to confirm the best contact information and introducing the rep prior to the contact attempt on our side.
  • It is very easy to change the conversation and what type of messaging that we want going out to our lists in Conversica.
  • Not always getting the correct classification from a response and the prospect gets frustrated - this is to be expected when an AI is responding. We also can give feedback which ultimately helps curve these responses in the end.
The best situations we have seen Conversica thrive in is on the win-back campaign with canceled accounts and also on the reengage side with leads that have gone cold over a few months. We have seen much less success trying to utilize this in an outreach way to drum up cold leads.

Conversica is being used by the marketing and sales teams. The initial problem it solved for us is being able to efficiently follow up with the high volume of leads we scan at events. During our initial campaign we were able to wake up stale leads in our database and find opportunities hidden in the rough. It has also turned into an effective inbound follow up channel.
  • Efficiently work through large volume lists
  • Pipeline and revenue attribution
  • Ease of use
  • Ability for sales assistant to answer questions
  • Priority leads put in the top of the message queue
  • UI/UX
Conversica is well suited for organizations that generate large volumes of leads and can't follow up with the right amount of touches needed. It also provides metrics that tie revenue back to business development activity. Combined with the appropriate number of human touches, Conversica is a game changer and no-brainer.

We have implemented Conversica as a lead retention tool. Ensuring that persistent follow up's are done with all of our in-house generated cold leads convert the best they can.
  • Persistent and customizable follow up.
  • Gives a very personalized feel to the recipient.
  • Being able to customize parts of the conversations to fit our industry lingo helps tremendously while trying to give each email a personalized touch.
  • The only thing I have come across that I would change if I could would be to have a simple way to customize the number of times a single lead will be emailed in its lifespan. Being able to specify how many times you want each lead emailed would help tremendously, simply because not all leads can be treated the same.
Conversica as a whole is a fantastic tool for any Account Manager, or Sales Rep, looking to create a more time efficient follow up/lead retention system. The cost vs. value is a no-brainer.

Furthermore, the support team/success management team you get along with the tool itself is priceless. Marisa has been a true godsend. Extremely flexible, patient, persistent, and helpful. On the Technical support side, Anna was also fantastic.

We implemented Conversica to help in our sales process by moving the burden of initial lead follow-up from a human sales representative to our virtual assistant. The goal was to increase engagement with our leads and to use our sales team for higher value interactions rather than having them reach out directly to every lead. The AI assistant is persistent in a way that our human team could not match. Yet the assistant reaches out in a way that seems to facilitate engagement rather than turning people off. We've seen an increase in engagement levels for new leads and also an increase in older lead re-engagement. While Conversica doesn't sell, it's good at being persistent and making interactions more visible to both the sales team and management. We've uncovered multiple opportunities that might have gone unnoticed by carefully reviewing each day's responses. We've also been pleased with the accuracy the tool has shown in interpreting the responses it receives. While it doesn't get them all right (especially foreign or some out of office responses) it learns and gets better over time.
  • Signature lines are analyzed and phone numbers are added back into our database.
  • The assistant can read out of office responses and re-engage once the lead returns.
  • In using a short and casual conversational style, the tool gets engagement where our human sales team has sometimes struggled.
  • Integration with our marketing automation platform, HubSpot, is primitive at best. Data is shared between the systems but not exposed in a usable way. You can get leads into Conversica through lists and workflows but beyond that, it's difficult to see much else in HubSpot.
  • There isn't much to do inside the Conversica tool. It's a bit of a black box. You can stop a conversation, skip it ahead or reply as your assistant but otherwise have little control over anything else. More focus should go into the integrations than the platform dashboard since it has limited usefulness.
  • Reporting is very static with no real opportunity for customization.
If your sales process relies on marketing-generated leads or has a business development (inside sales) function, Conversica can help improve engagement rates. It's less suited for sales processes that are more outbound or relationship focused. It's best for higher lead volume environments where you are seeking to get that engagement and then have the prospect interact with a live salesperson.

At authorsolutions it is critical that we are able to reach our leads. Conversica has allowed us to reach out and re-engage older leads and bring them back. This has allowed us to penetrate our back list with incredible results.
  • We have brought under-utilized leads to sold customers.
  • We have found a cost effective way to re-engage "dead leads".
  • We have taken previously worked leads and turned them into contracts.
  • In our business we have many lines of business it would be nice to set up separate reporting and combined reporting quickly.
If you have a list of leads that you can no longer cost effectively call, Conversica is the answer.

We use Conversica across the whole organization, on what the vendor calls an outbound campaign (as opposed to an inbound campaign, another option they offer). Their SaaS helps us on the deal origination side, to identify those business owners interested in our value proposition (debt-side advisory & placement services for US SMEs with $1M-$20M annual revenues). The software does this efficiently, at a fraction of the cost of using personnel (internal or outsourced) to perform the same function.
  • Conversica's set-up team and client relationship managers (Jen Amundgaard on the sales side and Caleb Clapp on the IT side) are 12's on my scale of 10. By comparison, most vendors I have dealt with historically (i.e. RingCentral, to pick on one, different service) are 3's or 4's at best. So apart from Conversica's best-in-class tech, the human touch is there and helps us maximize our user experience. Jen and Caleb took time to understand our business model, mission-critical goals, metrics to evaluate their software performance and implied ROIs, and post-launch have maintained regular contact with us to improve campaigns and optimize our use of their service. Their care for their clients sets Conversica apart. We are not a faceless number to them.
  • Conversica's service allows its users to run inbound or outbound email-based conversations with clients, past clients, prospects, stakeholders of varying types, partners, upstream or downstream relationships, or other parties, depending what type of campaign and parameters are chosen by the user working in concert with Conversica to customize the service. When optimized, the service delivers tremendous ROIs which can be quantified for different time buckets. The ROI invariably comes down to the significant cost savings Conversica delivers its clients, when compared to the client engaging personnel to perform similar functions. Or the ROI can be measured in terms of incremental revenues generated through a campaign in combination with headcount savings.
  • Conversica we believe is the only player in the marketplace offering its specific AI-based value proposition. Normally we would expect this first (and only) mover advantage to translate into opportunistic (read: high, excessive) vendor pricing due to lack of competition. Instead, they have gone the opposite direction. Their various service levels are priced very competitively, despite the obvious lack of competitors out there, so we are very grateful for that because it allows smaller companies to afford their service. Their pricing strategy we believe emphasizes the long game, and will help them capture whichever market share they go after across verticals, over time. Our greatest fear is that a Google, Salesforce or other large deep-pockets firm acquires them in the future, and if that's inevitable, we hope it's a long way off. These prospective acquirers would change some of the things we like most about Conversica.
  • Conversica's service can help smaller companies compete in some arenas with much larger firms, by doing more with less resources or operational spend. This is a good thing, to the extent it opposes the drift in some verticals toward oligopolistic competition and market share concentration going to only a few firms. Whether an intended or unintended consequence of its tech, Conversica solutions in our view are "for the people" and not "against the people". Contrast that with the opportunistic pricing of some nasty pharma companies that sell patent-protected drugs at exhorbitant cost to patients, exercising their monopoly on the drug.
  • A minor area for improvement would be appointment-setting (for calls or meetings) that synchs live with the user's calendar, to reduce the user's time coordinating the timing. However, I believe Conversica is already working on this or will get there soon.
  • Larger picture, we hope that Conversica develops within 3-5 years a similar voice-based service as a complement to their email-based tech. Non-robotic speech ideally, with IBM Watson-like deep AI fueling the conversations. That's the next evolution, with a much larger user market, and we hope Conversica leads that charge because we will be first in line to buy from them.
Conversica is well suited to any company that has email-based inbound or outbound conversations with various types of parties, involving hundreds, thousands or larger numbers of emails over shorter time periods, and where the conversations remain within certain broad parameters or boundaries (i.e., which do not include "what is the meaning of life?" type questions).

Conversica is not well suited to companies that do not communicate extensively by email.

Conversica helps touch base with all of our leads. The system is able to message our leads that our sales team can't get to due to lead volume. This allows our sales team to find the hot leads faster and spend less time prospecting.
  • Emails every lead that is worth working.
  • Follows up with leads to make sure they are happy.
  • Gives management insight into areas that reps may need help in.
  • I'd like it if the emails could be formatted in a way that looks like it was being sent from a real user. Hide some of the tracking, business info that appears in the emails.
Conversica is great for a company with leads that need to be worked. My sales team spends a lot of time trying to call leads. Conversica takes care of emailing and we know none of our leads fall through the cracks.

Conversica is currently being used for lead nurturing. We submit segmented data based on where a lead is in our workflow and Conversica reaches out to them with a message specific to each segment. It is also used to win back previous clients and re-engage with older ones.
  • Its messaging is specific to the recipients status with your company
  • It properly recognizes responses from recipients and sets the lead status
  • Its messaging is very engaging
  • Would like it to expand into other languages....like Spanish
  • Give ability to respond as the avitar at any time not just when it is a response to review
  • Exceptional at lead nurturing
  • Needs stronger prospecting capabilities and messaging

We are currently using Conversica to handle inbound request for all leads that aren't considered to be an MQL. A little over 3 months and we've pushed over 9,000 leads through Conversica to engage with these low-quality leads. Early success of 22 SQLs generated and 6 deals closed with help from Conversica. Without Conversica these leads would have just sat in SFDC and would not have been touched by our account executives. They would have been included in our marketing automation nurture programs but those look marketing fluffer and Conversica appears to be a sales rep. We've focused primarily on using Conversica for new business deals but plans are to leverage the tool for upsell and re-engagement as well.
  • When Converisca reaches out to prospects the message look like a rep actually constructed these messages instead of looking like a marketing generated HTML email
  • Never gets discouraged from no responses from prospects
  • Daily alerts to keep responsible reps in line with Hot, Reviewable or At Risk Leads
  • Never stops working
  • It took use roughly a month to get our assistant to learn our prospect's response language to correct mark the lead as Hot or to be Reviewed. This was enforced by our sales manager for reps to provide feedback to the tool.
  • When we were first on boarded we would have to reach out to our CSM to set up conversations for Conversica to have with our prospects. Since then we've been included in their Beta version for us to have full control of the conversation making our team quicker at getting these turned around and built into the marketing person's checklist of items to be completed before starting a new campaign.
For any organization where sales cherrypicks MQLs and ignores all other marketing leads this tool is great to get built into your lead follow-up process. For us, we are placing all inbound lead requests for our top of funnel marketing into Conversica's queue. From there Conversica works this lead until either 3 things happen:
1. Lead agrees to talk to a sales rep
2. Lead just never responds
3. Lead asks to not be contacted
When #1 happens our rep jumps on this lead and treats it as if it is an MQL now. If #2 happens we then throw this lead into a marketing automation nurture program for roughly 45 days then throw it back into Conversica's queue as a re-engagement follow up. If #3 happens we at least tried to engage this lead.

We are utilizing Conversica for lead generation for our growth team. [It] Generates qualified leads into our sales funnel.
  • Conversica does a thorough job of combing through our leads database and finding qualified prospects.
  • Conversica engages prospects wishing to be contacted.
  • Conversica continues the conversation by retrieving more information and allowing for updated information for our database.
Opportunities seem to be limited to your imagination. Every business has requirements to reach out to others either for service, sales or otherwise. Conversica offers flexibility in modifying your message to the appropriate parties.

We started in 2017 implementing the use of Conversica, and I can wholeheartedly testify that Conversica has been an incredible asset to our company. Conversica, who we call “Victoria” our AI has increased conversion rates and lead turnover. Our brokers who all refer to her by name look forward to their upload and knowing that they are not letting anything fall to the way side. Our support system at Conversica (Caleb and Derik) are nothing but helpful. They have both taken so much of their time to make sure that we are using the program to its maximum potential and have a full understanding of how to use Conversica, and all of the reporting tools. They check in regularly to make sure we are satisfied and all of our needs are met. Bringing Conversica into this office has been one of the most successful programs that we will continue to use for a long time to come.
  • Conversica has helped to regenerate old business that previously used our service.
  • Conversica has created more lead generation and conversion than prior to its use.
  • The support team is always willing and able to respond to any issues or questions rapidly.
  • Our brokers would most likely benefit from the use of an app for their phones, but that is all.
We had such amazing success with Conversica that two of our sister companies within our building have begun to use Conversica as well.

We initially started using Conversica for dealing with leads on mass from tradeshows, and had some great success. Since then our usage of the product has evolved and we are now running multiple conversations, and even have Conversica integrated to our inbound lead flow activity. The use cases for this product are constantly growing and we can see future value with Conversica to support the wider business (client sales and even finance).
  • Quite simply, it works. We now can have our sales teams working on the best contacts which improves their conversions/focus, whilst our AI agent will work on the leads to find those diamonds in the rough.
  • The roadmap is strong. I've been lucky enough to attend the customer user groups and not only are the features coming very interesting, but they have actually delivered on the timelines.
  • The team at Conversica is incredible - v ery responsive, easy to work with and provide great suggestions and support.
  • I think some more can be done around tracking Salesforce activity. For us, if the data isn't in Salesforce, it doesn't exist. We have recently come up with a custom way to track specific conversation success to a campaign with custom statuses to do this, but as I understand this isn't something any other customer is doing currently. I know the team is working on tracking opportunities to conversica success which will be interesting.
If you, like us, find yourself with large numbers of leads following events - this product is for you. Although there are many other use cases for your wider business, for us this is the core value this product delivers for us. The product is on track to pay for itself, and our sales team have adopted Anna as part of their team.

The marketing department uses Conversica to engage with inbound, English speaking, top of funnel leads who have not yet been qualified by sales. Our goal is to identify potential opportunities earlier in the sales cycle through personalized conversations based on the lead's activities.
  • Assistant activity reporting.
  • Identifying next steps based on a lead's response.
  • Optimizing the message cadence and tone to produce more positive responses.
  • There could be some improvements during onboarding around the best practices for integrating Marketo and Conversica.
  • The ability to report on informational statement A/B testing would be great.
  • Detailed reporting or filtering based on the static list that the lead is a member of, not just the high-level lead source, but the actual event that triggered the lead to enter into Conversica. (i.e. product download vs. webinar attendee).
Conversica is well suited for inbound leads that have not yet requested a direct contact from sales. The "assistant" appears genuinely helpful and in a junior role that most people respond well to. Conversica may not be suited for "hot" leads which require a bit more personalization and tailored response or where there is a complex sales qualification process.

Conversica has been instrumental in helping us to nurture and qualify prospects that enter our CRM by doing much of the heavy lifting on the front end of our sales process. With our prospect outreach goals in place, we have been able to use Conversica technology to increase engagement with prospects without having to compromise the all important human element.
  • Establish personable and relevant conversations that create a high level of response from prospects.
  • Smart technology that recognizes responses from prospects and when to end a conversation and transition these prospects over to the representative.
  • Detailed daily reports that keep you well informed about prospect engagement and lead status.
  • More of an effort made to continue reaching out to prospects that do not initially respond.
  • It would be helpful if there was a last ("goodbye") response that ended engagement with a prospect that is not interested.
Well suited for scenarios that demand multiple outreach efforts to a large population.

We use Conversica as a lead qualification tool. Our company does not have a business development or inside sales team to make the first pass on all the leads we generate. Conversica can do this job more efficiently and at a much lower cost.
  • Customer support is excellent. Their response time is always quick. Conversica constantly seeks feedback from their customers and enhances the product accordingly.
  • Marketers are always worried about whether sales follows up on the leads that we pass over to them. Conversica equips marketers with facts and details as to when that disconnection happens. I feel assured that all of our prospects at least hear from us.
  • I wish there was a way that we could control the conversation parameters more even though technically that would be difficult to achieve. The feedback we constantly hear from the field is that Conversica is doing great, but we always wish for more.
  • Reporting could be more robust.
Conversica is great to follow up with event and content marketing leads. It is not so appropriate to use for accounts/contacts that [you've] already established sales relationship with.

We use Conversica to be more efficient in lead follow-up, so it is primarily used by sales and marketing. There are three specific use cases. Firstly at certain events, we generate thousands of leads, which flood our sales development team meaning some leads get follow up outside our usual SLAs. Secondly, we have identified a cohort of accounts which we want our teams to focus on. In both of these cases, we use our data to prioritise and route the leads either to our team or to Conversica to qualify. Lastly, we use a re-engage program to recontact prior MQLs after 60 days.
  • Sales Cycle - I have been involved in many tech purchases and working with Conversica through the business case was a smooth process. We did trial the product as part of this process with clear success metrics.
  • Customer Success Team - awesome, always available to help and provide answers. One of the best I have ever worked with.
  • Development - particulalry improving the UI.
  • We created a custom program type in Marketo to handle the various responses that can be generated, it's great but perhaps Conversica should be providing this for all its customers, especially those that may be new to Marketo.
Definitely use Conversica if you are generating too may leads for your sales team, or if you can easily identify a group of leads that do not convert so well - send these to Conversica and save your sales team time.

We use it for email blasts and to answer direct contacts. It is like having your own personal assistant - saving companies money rather than having to hire another head.
  • Great at responding to inquiries
  • Good for email blasts, specifically to drive interest for events
  • Allows me not to worry about little things, since it takes care of them for me
  • No issues at this point
It's great when you're trying to drive attendance to a large event, and reaching out to the masses because it can provide a personal response to everyone which you would not be able to personally do.

We're currently using Conversica on our demand gen team and have seen outstanding results so far. Rather than wait for all leads to MQL, we've been able to leverage Conversica for a variety of campaigns to accelerate the time it takes qualified leads to reach sales.
  • Customer Service - We have both a customer success rep and technical rep assigned to our account, and they're incredibly helpful and responsive
  • Lead Acceleration - By utilizing Conversica, we're able to identify hand raisers and immediately pass them to our sales team, rather than waiting for all leads to MQL
  • Flexibility - Whatever the use case, the Conversica team is very open to testing new conversations
  • The conversation parameters (character limits, etc.) can occasionally be limiting, however the team does a great job of taking our ideal conversation and making it work
Conversica is ideal for leads that have shown some interest in your brand/product (downloaded content, etc.), however not enough that you'd want them to be followed up with immediately by a sales rep (contact us, demo request, etc.). • Conversica weeds out the "Window shoppers".
  • The system is very easy to use - upload your data and let your AI assistant go to work generating qualified ready to buy prospects.
  • It would be nice to be able to upload your database via the web portal instead of an FTP server.
  • The reporting tool could use a little work.
[It is well suited for] anyone who makes a living making large amounts of phone calls. Conversica is a great and less intrusive way to generate qualified leads.
