I like that they have a lot of the functionality that my business needs. Similar to muting all participants and analytics. Online conferences and events are simple to use and organize. Capacity to accommodate a sizable crowd. Efficient social media platform integrations. Precise analytics and fruitful source monitoring. A highly knowledgeable and always accessible customer support crew.

We use GoTo Webinar to host our online training events. We have used these to delivery training for organisations with a larger number of employees, as well as open events for SME's and single business owners to join. It's enabled us to deliver our training online where before, we were doing a lot of face to face training. Because of the additional event scheduling features, we've also been ableto streamline our communication with event atendees.

I think GoTo Webinar is good for big webinars and online courses. But, for small team hangouts or interactive workshops requiring dynamic collaboration, other more tailored platforms may be more appropriate.

It's a great all-in-one virtual event platform that we've used including some customizable modes, insightful analytics, powerful integrations, and flexible pricing, and works with all sized groups that we've had to schedule.

I used GoTo Webinar to streamline our communication in support for both internal and external queries.
We build physical product and support is essential either it's in house technician or external.
  • It's extremely easy to contact and send invitation the webinar required and the control is very intuitive
  • Ability to track attendance and from the data we can generate very useful graph and vis for our metrics
  • Multi presenter webinar are also useful in cases where there are multiple presenters
  • Dashboard for control are mostly intuitive but in some menus like the webcasting section can be cluttered
  • The current polling and survey capabilities are too simple. More advanced features, such as branching logic and real-time results, would make engagement more dynamic and insightful.
  • Although it's easy for organiser to use goto webinar, users have reported issues and long wait time on their end and they don't have much control over the session
As a small tech company, GoTo Webinar is awesome for our quarterly product launches and inviting stakeholders are very easy and painless.

For internal meetings with a few participants, simpler video conferencing solutions like Zoom or Google Meet might be more convenient and easy to setup. If GoTo Webinar has a simpler, lightweight version, it might be more attractive to replace zoom or meet

We needed a way to bring new educational content to our audience. We use GoTo to host a monthly, a bi-monthly, and occasional paid commercial webinars. We initially charged non-members to view the webinars but the exposure to a larger audience during COVID made us change these to free for anyone. In addition to the live webinars, we also keep the recordings in a library for users to view later.
  • The webinars are easy to set up and schedule
  • Admin controls during the webinar are easy to use and pretty self-explanatory
  • Automatic recordings are great.
  • Attendee/registration reports are helpful
  • You can't blur your background when using a webcam. Zoom has been doing this forever and this seems like a pretty big omission.
  • Invited panelists can't test their screenshare/audio/video on their own so we have to schedule sessions to do this.
  • We have a lot of repeat speakers/panelists, not having the ability to save their information for easy access can be a pain.
  • You can't add hyperlinks or attach files to the automated attendee/registrant emails.
  • You only get one login per license and cannot substitute emails. This is a real pain if the licensed person needs someone else to run a webinar every now and then because only the licensed person receives the backup panelist invites. Even being able to add a cced individual to those emailed invites would be a big help.
GoTo Webinar is very well suited for our purposes. Our webinars consist of a panelists and at least one moderator and a Q&A session at the end. Panelists are able to use the screen share feature to run their own slideshows and the moderator can review questions that are typed in by the audience. We rarely have issues with performance and if these is an issue it's usually on the user side. We can also add our own custom questions to the registration page so that we can collect additional info from the audience. Post session emails can be scheduled to target attendees and people that registered but didn't attend. You can set these emails to include a recording of the session as well.

A downside is that you cannot embed links or attach files to those emails. We send out disclosure/conflict of interest statements to all attendees prior to the sessions starting and being able to include those as attachments in the reminder emails would be great. You cannot blur your webcam background. Almost all of our panelists want that option and they usually say "Zoom can do it" when I say it's unavailable.

We are a small non-profit with state-wide reach. I inherited our GoTo Webinar when I started working at Washington Health Alliance almost 7 years ago. GoTo Webinar includes a free version of GoTo Meeting as well so, theoretically, we can have 2 events going on simultaneously. When the Covid emergency began we increased both the number of administrating staff and meeting participants. We lost our building conference room for which we needed the 800 number so we just cancelled that. We had meetings twice a week that included health care, health plan, government, pharmaceutical and research organizations. One of our member organizations created for another member organization a live dashboard. We were the venue for these organizations to connect so made all these meetings happen using GoTo Webinar. After we got the vaccines developed and distributed, the need for such big meetings (200-500) decreased and GoTo let us change our contract to reduce our staffing and attending needs. They have an amazing video library to host recordings of all these meetings, as well as our member-only All-Alliance meetings (going back 10 years). I do not see an end to our relationship with GoTo Webinar.

  • Social usage like Zoom did so that Zoom became more accepted because it was pushed on the individual sale with a "free" option until it became the normalized product
  • Having 1 login for billing, Meetings and webinar and being able to select the product after login rather than having 3 different sites
It is more appropriate for businesses that have many virtual meetings with many individuals. The 800 number is most appropriate for verbal communication where an outside, or long distance number, is not available. It is great for maintaining a video library to send links to unlimited numbers of people. It is not appropriate for individuals. It did not get the social acceptance that Zoom did with their "free" service, which is now mostly gone.

From a user standpoint, I cannot think of any particular issues that I have run into while using Goto Webinar. It seems to be easy to navigate and works smoothly. The quality of the product is good and allows many users to be on it all at once without having to be on site or lagging/slowing down the webinar.

I think that it is a great tool/ platform for video conferences and face to face time between groups. It is pretty simple to use and does not require a downloaded version to use it similar to zoom. We have client who is in educational verticals. Where they use on- demand webinars regular basis . They have Students who need to fill customize registration forms, so they get alert before the webinar. GoTo Webinar best suited their environment, because its facilitates hosting on-line events. The platform language options like French, English and other languages it can be access from any device.

I use it as a virtual meeting tool. I am able to share diagrams and drawings and have other participants interact. My next project is for training using the company's email services. I have several remote users and this will allow me the ability to give them the training resources without the expense of bringing them to the office.

  • Makes it easy for the participants to login and join the training
  • Questions are easily seen and allows organizer the option to answer immediately or wait until it is appropriate
  • The analytics are cumbersome
  • I have not used the recorded presentation mode
  • Pricing structure is high
I use GoTo Webinar to train others in cybersecurity situations. I am able to prepare my training using digital media that the participant can download and review at a later time. The information is still available during the presentation, but also available after the presentation. I am not a marketing expert, so I use the resources I have to help my user base.

We are a professional trade association, and we produce and deliver a number of webinars throughout the year to our members as continuing education programs for their professional requirements. We have been using GoTo Webinar for about 10 years to deliver these online webinars to our members. We deliver the live version of these webinars directly on the GoTo Webinar platform, and then we use their recording and editing tools to create an on-demand version of each webinar to make available to our members after the live event is held.
  • Unlimited number of webinars per month with no time limits
  • Clear, user-friendly interface that allows our members to join our live webinars with very little technical assistance required
  • Nice built-in tools for recording and editing video content
  • Quick and responsive customer support by phone
  • Adding speakers/panelists - it would be better if you could store a bank of past speakers to quickly add them to new webinars being created
  • Making the web version of the software equal in functionality to the desktop version so that users would not have to download and install the software in order to join in a webinar
  • If the handouts posted to a webinar could be made available for download in advance of a webinar, it would allow the participants to have these in hand before the webinar begins instead of having to download these after the webinar is opened. Or make them available to the participants while in the waiting room prior to the start of the broadcast
Well suited for training presentations to larger groups where only the speaker(s) would be speaking and sharing a screen with the audience muted and not sharing their screens.
Not suited for meetings where everyone needs to talk and possibly share their screens. That would be better suited for GoTo Meeting.

Our association uses [GoTo Webinar] for almost all our online webinars, which can be between 2-5 per month. Most of the programs are generated in the U.S., but we also use it for international webinars that are launched by our team in Malaysia. It has been a great way to reach a very large, international audience for our educational programs.
  • Reports are quite thorough for attendee tracking, Q&A submissions.
  • Overall the online technology and connectivity is very reliable.
  • They have good help screens, and if needed the live help staff are easily accessible.
  • It would be nice to be able to run customized reports.
  • Running a presentation with embedded videos can be hit or miss; typically only 50% of the audience can see and/or hear the videos.
  • When needing to enter webinar information in a foreign language, the auto translations on the platform are not 100% accurate, and there are only so many languages to choose from.
[GoTo Webinar] is great for conducting webinars in general. It is a widely used & accepted online program, which makes it user-friendly. It is easy to set up webinars, and easy to execute them. It is also relatively affordable if your organization hosts many webinars, but it may be worth [GoTo Webinar] to explore or allow one-off use of the platform instead of requiring a subscription.

We use GoTo Webinar for our presentations, and webinars to make them look presentable, and it can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees. The problem is we haven't tried reaching its maximum potential, we'd like to go big and try up to 5,000 attendees. This is of course for the organization with larger employees.

  • Try extending the free trial just for a week.
  • The user should be able to have a chat area if they have a query.
  • Update the user interface for the non-technical users.
This will be well suited for larger organizations, and for webinars. Sure there are some delays and whatnot, but it's not the software's problem at the time. The internet may be the cause, and for the users who's had a bad internet connection, I can say GoTo Webinar is doing its best and what's fit so that the user may be able to attend the so-called seminars.

A few clients use GoTo Webinar for hosting webinars, continuing education courses, etc. I have run meetings from it in the past but recently I am just a viewer on the platform. It is convenient for hosting courses/webinars with large groups of people.

GoTo Webinar allowed us to provide weekly webinars for our new customers in our onboarding period with our product. We were able to streamline processes and cut down on manually doing one-on-one training on basic aspects of our platform so that we could focus on more customized calls and training once customers watched our webinars and understood the foundational components of our software.

  • Custom Backgrounds. It would be much better if GoToWebinar didn't require a third-party service to upload custom backgrounds. I feel like this should be native functionality in 2022. The ChromaCam app is glitchy and a pain to use so I just opt not to use a background in GoToWebinar.
GoToWebinar is great for online webinars and meetings that require the ability to manage large groups. The polling functionality is easy to use and the after-meeting reports are easy to obtain. If you want to have a custom background, I would not trust the ChromaCam install for an important meeting, in my opinion.

GoToWebinar solves the issue of in-person meetings at the moment. It is used across all departments and with outside stakeholders. With the ongoing pandemic, this helps the community to continue to conduct workshops on the regular. This has allowed us to add more options to the schedule.

I use GoTo Webinar with clients who are looking to generate warm to hot leads for their product/solutions. Webinars and demos are key, especially for my SaaS clients, and GoTo Webinar provides a very intuitive and familiar interface for our hosts, cohosts, and guests. It typically only takes us 2 to 5 minutes to set everything up, from basic information to the registration page. Occasionally a client demands to use a different solution, but they always come to regret it in the end, switching back to GoTo Webinar.

GoTo Webinar is a great tool for generating leads, keeping attendees engaged, and creating trust between hosts and attendees. We love the flexibility where we can use the GoTo Webinar landing page and reminder/confirmation emails or use integration with email or marketing automation software for similar purposes.

With an audience that you want to interact with and not just host a webinar, GoTo is great. If you're looking for something you aren't going to use often, and just want it for video/voice calls, then it's probably not the right solution for your particular needs.

My experience with GoTo Webinar has been for the purpose of attending large-scale virtual seminars with a high number of attendees. The process is simple enough with an email serving as the invitation and containing instructions on how to join. With great importance on security, GoTo Webinars ensures a reliable and secure experience with minimal interruptions. The product is simple to use and is very reliable. While using the product, I experienced a stable connection and stellar audio quality with only slight dips in video quality.

Based on my experience, GoTo Webinar is very well suited for online presentations and seminars with a significant number of attendees. More intimate meetings are less appropriate as the platform is designed with large groups in mind. As an alternative for in-person conferences and tradeshows which have been made more difficult due to the current world situation, GoTo Webinars fills the gap in a much-needed niche.

It serves our needs with the registration, presentations, chat, reports, and be able to edit the recordings. We need all of them.
