Linode Support is fantastic. They are always prompt and quick to resolve your issue. Many similar companies tend to blame the clients for the problems with their instances, but not Linode. With the additional extensive library of tutorials, their overall educational support is unparalleled. Even looking for solutions to Azure or Amazon issues is a nightmare because there are so many different things to try. Linode strikes a good balance between a solid but limited offering, making it a perfect choice for those who seek a no-problem platform.

Real problems get to real techs eventually. I usually get next-day responses, which is reasonable for the importance of my tickets. Some of the reported problems haven't been fixed even after a year, which is both understandable (moderate impact, reasonable workaround, few customers affected) and rather annoying.

I haven't had a lot of support interactions with Linode's human staff, mostly because many of the issues have been handled without needing my intervention. I enjoy and appreciate the server maintenance notifications they send and the proactive security fixes so that I don't have to take much action (if any).

The support is helpful and knowledgeable. They sometimes fall behind when it comes to the newer offerings, such as LKE.

In most cases we do not need Linode support. We encountered some problems in deed, which are mostly hardware problems after Linode upgraded their servers. After we contacted Linode support, they resolved the problems quickly.

They always respond with either an acknowledgment of the problem or valuable information on how I can solve the problem if the problem belongs to me. They are very clear where that dividing line is. Once in a while, I get info that is specific to my situation and I appreciate that but, when I pose a question to support, I am always very careful to make sure to ask the question correctly. Linode takes support seriously. That's A LOT more than I can say for any of the shared hosting providers I used before coming to Linode.

We've had a number of times that we've gotten truly stellar support from Linode, but unfortunately there have also been times that they really dropped the ball. Overall, I'm happy to say that the bad times have been few and far between, but there is still some room for improvement there.

I only one issue with hardware failing. I got a nice email explaining the situation, what was done (moved my VM, restarted it).
Once predicted hardware failure was expected and again I got a nice email explaining the situation and what will be done, but I had the choice to change the timing if needed.
Once I had a question and it was answered within few hours. And it was not a "we received your email" type response, but the actual answer.
This is top level support. For a cloud provider, this is outstanding.

Linode has had the most consistently easy to work with customer service of all the cloud providers. You can pretty much always count on a quick response from them and their reps tend to be more knowledgeable than competing reps as well. Plus their support guides are some of the best in the business.

They have always been super quick to answer my questions and very helpful at pointing me to resources when things fall out of scope and those resources have actually been useful. I've not needed to use their support much, but when I have needed support, they have been there.

Not only they are friendly and polite. They have always been truly helpful. The support team has proved to be experienced in a very wide set of aspects. In more than 10 years working with them, we have been in touch with the support team several times, and I must say I personally learned a lot.

The handful of times we have required support for Linode, they have always been top notch in terms of short response times and knowledgable staff that are willing to work with you no matter your level of expertise with Linux to make sure your issues are addressed.

We have always been well supported here and support has even pro-actively reached out when one of our services was experiencing issues.
