Quickbase

We have achieved what we need in terms of business requirements, however, and just like I mentioned before, I think there is a lot of room for improvement. Being a cloud-based solution makes a huge difference, and the concepts of developing, and deploying in a faster way is a concept that is becoming a tendency.

I have built apps which meet all the outcomes listed above. I might not have built my first couple of apps very fast and it took a while to get the buy-in from team members. But once I had a few early adopters, the benefit of getting insights from data, collaboration across teams and tackling the business challenge effectively became very obvious. It was a matter of time when others saw the benefit and started using it.

We've really been able to make our QuickBase applications what we want them to be. If something isn't doing exactly what we'd like, I've been able to find workarounds. I'm sure that someone with greater developer acumen would be able to clean up our system, but it's working out just fine for us!

We absolutely have been able to achieve the goals we initially had when choosing it. Many of the reasons why we do not entirely rely on it for new needs was covered in the cons section earlier. Deployment of large enhancements is incredibly encumbered by the fact that it has to be done manually after being done manually in a copy application (if you are unable to 'lock' your production environment as we are.)

Our main goals were to create a data solution that would allow multiple people to input data from different places. With this basic data, we would want real time answers and a weekly report to come out with ease. We set it up and gave access permission to the correct people, our data issues went away. With some simple macros, we can download our weekly update into Excel and push the macro button and have it look like our customer asked. Since the original goals were achieved we can track the performance of each work group and better understand where we can improve.

All of the above outcomes were achieved thanks to Quickbase. The application's flexibility and potential have allowed us to develop, for many companies, fully customized applications that meet their workflows, minimizing or eliminating the need for manual work and improving processes along the way.

When integrating with systems like Oracle or SQL Databases, which are known for their lack of ease to display information/insights, Quickbase has proven to be the perfect tool for managers and process owners, allowing them to really see what is happening in real time and even brought out new curiosities about the business and processes they thought they had controlled.

I've been working on quickbase for 1 year and during this time I've noticed that team collaboration has improved especially with high level groups. We noticed many failures in process thanks to insights from our data. We've created almost 15 apps in less than a year and all of these are working properly.

We've achieved all three outcomes selected. We can build applications quickly without creating a bottleneck or pause in business processes. We are able to provide reporting to the client that was not available prior to housing all of the data in QuickBase. And we've integrated numerous teams into the same QuickBooks instance so as to encourage collaboration and insight sharing.

We have definitely achieved collaboration amongst teams with the ability to connect different Quickbase applications.

We have by far achieved all we wanted from QuickBase and more. Great, easy to use ap that has paid for itself time and time again.

As I stated above, we have achieved our goals relative to the above items.

We knew what we were looking for out of our QuickBooks apps, so we were able to implement the apps easily. Once our apps were in place, the reporting tools allowed us to see what areas of our business were struggling and what areas are doing great. As a result, we can balance out our resources to achieve better efficiency.
