Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
As an industry that is audited for compliance for several reasons, we use KnowBe4 to perform the following: Automate required training for new hires (within 30 days). Automate annual training for all employees, automate monthly phishing campaigns, and perform annual compliance/regional trainings. We also track high-risk users and provide additional training for them based on how they do on quizzes, and campaigns, and tests.
Pros
- Wide variety of training materials.
- Easy to use interface.
- Automated Security Awareness Program (ASAP) makes the onboarding process great.
- Automate the full training process.
Cons
- Gamification of trainings is a bit lacking.
- There is TOO much content so it's hard to find the right info without watching hours of videos/training.
- Sometimes training is too broad and not specific enough.
- People are becoming more aware of cybersecurity.
- People are now reporting malicious emails as malicious instead of asking us if it is malicious - they've learned to identify it themselves!
- People are identifying security risks and bringing them to our team's attention where we could potentially improve.
Automation, ease of use, cost, content, sub-products (phishing, ASAP, etc.).

Yes
Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?
Yes
It's made it more engaging for end-users. We can find relevant content for nearly every subject (it does take time to identify the proper training though).
We have user management automated. Users are created in Azure AD and put in groups. We use SCIM to sync those groups to the KnowBe4 portal and have trainings based on groups and when their accounts were created. We have new hire training assigned when an account is created, and annual/targeted training based on the AAD groups we import. It is tied to Okta for SSO and takes them straight to their training page on load.
We have historically only tracked compliance (users who completed trainings and who did not) as well as users who are chronic clickers of phishing campaigns. We don't use the information or dashboards much as it is not necessary for our industry to be compliant.
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Feature Ratings
KnowBe4 Compliance Plus
It is fine. It's tough to balance fun/enjoyable and always hit the required content. It checks our compliance boxes which is what we wanted/needed.
This makes our process so much easier. Reminders, reports, and automation make this process an annual set-once-and-forget process. We are able to use the platform to send the right trainings to the right people at the right time, and that can be hard with employees in multiple states and countries.
Yes.
Price wise it is similar to other vendors we assessed but with the automation, reporting, and integration with our other tools we get much better value from KB4.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features
It has been incredibly helpful to automate onboarding, assignments, and reporting for all compliance and training needs.
I don't feel like the AI has made things more personalized as much as just automated different approaches. It is much quicker to implement and offers a wider variety versus manually doing that.
We do not use PhishER at this time.

750 - HR, Accounting, Executives, IT, Dev, Devops, customer service, retention, etc.
2 - Anyone who is somewhat technically savvy can use this product. It is intuitive and easy to understand/learn.
- SSO / SCIM Integration
- Automated enrollment, reminders, and reports
- Easy to understand and enjoyable content
- We import manager status from our HRS system and apply specific trainings to those who are managers in certain regions.
- We use AD groups and risk scores to determine who can view what websites and require additional training for unsafe users before they can access additional online resources
- Training outside the scope of Cyber and Compliance
- I'd love to see the system become an independent LMS where we can import our own content
Evaluating KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training and Competitors
Not Sure
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Easy of use - we needed something our end users could use - its hard enough to get them to take the trainings.
Look at more side features like report phishing, auto analysis of suspicious emails, etc.

I am not sure. If we didn't it's because of cost.
We had a really unique training method we needed to use a series of smart groups to work properly.
