We have updated applications many times as new regulations come into play. This is quick and easy and is pretty much instantaneous. Just add a field and it appears on every single file. We leave that field blank on older files and fill it in where required for newer files. Also, for important fields, we can’t close out of the file until we have filled them in because a pop-up appears which is helpful.

We have an application that is designed to track changes in Quickbase, Audit Trail. When we first implemented it, we could not believe how quick we got it going and how great it's functioned until now. It's been doing great and gives us great insight into the jobs that we perform and that happen.

We frequently maintain our internal platform as well as that of our clients. Recently one of them requested a redesign of their dashboard and once defined we gave it an important turn in terms of design and operation in a few hours.

My very first Quick Base app was a simple CRM application. Over time, I continued to update it to add new features and integrate it with the other systems my business used. Some of the
  • I integrated our website forms and scheduling software with Quick Base to automate our lead capture and appointment setting.

  • I added project management and task tracking functionality.

  • I added invoicing and expense tracking into the app and integrated it with QuickBooks to cut out hours of manual bookkeeping time each week.

  • I integrated Quick Base with Gmail to send out automated, personalized marketing messages to our customers that didn’t get trapped in Spam filters.

  • And we finally had a centralized source of operating data that I used to measure our performance like never before, leading to data-driven decisions that saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We underwent a major revision to our Quickbase app for project management, mainly because we wanted to customize it so that another group within our department would use it as its main project tracking function (instead of a former web site bug tracking app). We used a QB developer and it took a good amount of time and thought as we were removing tables, adding other tables, making new functionality, etc. But in the end, it's become THE app that the group uses and they have been better integrated into our overall department's use of the app.

With the constant change in people (resources) being what it is in Silicon Valley, we had a few folks depart while simultaneously another group joined at the same time. Quick Base allowed us to quickly transfer ownership and admin functions of the apps from one party to the other seamlessly.

I built and maintain all of our QuickBase applications, and it usually goes really well. I start by mapping out the goal on a piece of paper and spend most of my time planning and considering how it connects with the rest of our apps. Then I program a piece at a time.

We do it all the time, updating and maintaining existing applications is a breeze. Basic modifications such as adding fields to forms, creating new reports, etc. are done in a few minutes and Quick Base has always been very stable when doing complicated updates such as those that require major changes in database schema. As I mentioned before, reliability and stability are strong points.

Reprocessing, our process was emailing to the request to claims and claims would reprocess the claim and file the email. There was no searchability, no TAT tracking, and trending was not an option without a .xls. So we created the web form, uploaded historical data from our .xls, and put in functional options to send notifications to the sending when the request was completed. This leverages the application in many different ways as all of these were set up and standard functions.

Since the rollout of our sales rep management application, we have made many updates and upgrades to the system. As we grow and expand into new territories, it was required to add a regional structure to the system. Though this was newer and more complex logic, I was able to build and implement it within a week's time (with the help of QuickBase's Customer Success team). This has allowed deeper reporting insights and has made it possible to give access to regional level executives so they can monitor their sales teams' success, so it was a huge upgrade to system functionality.

It was challenging tracing down all the pieces and how they interrelated and interacted with each other. Resorted to mapping it all on paper and create a wiki to keep it all straight.

Updating QuickBase couldn't be easier...as long as the connected applications are known and understood. If you have automations and connected imports, you need to be careful before you make any changes. Once they are known, making changes is simple. You can even make changes to tables by exporting to excel and reimporting using copy/paste or upload. It really couldn't be easier.

Updating the existing application is a seamless experience with QuickBase. Changes can be easily completed and users just need to refresh the browser to see the changes. For complex applications, we follow a different approach if the changes are huge and could impact or break the application.

I update my applications all the time, whether tweaking the way a specific formula is calculated or creating something new from scratch. I have cut hours off my job with QuickBase and automated so many workflows that I had to do by hand in the beginning.

We do this on a daily basis and it only takes a few minutes. This is a huge advantage versus using any other apps. We see a need and we fix it within minutes. No complicated user requirements docs or IT meetings to get to our end result. We want it and we just do it.
