Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

Within our company, TeamViewer is used for collaboration, recording tutorials, and remote access. It is used across half our departments and provides easy access and collaboration for our users. While we have many similar tools, this one is by far the favorite of my boss for its ease of use.
  • TeamViewer is particularly convenient for collaborations and online meetings when something like Google Hangouts just isn't robust enough.
  • An added bonus we've discovered is the ability to record a session as a quick and easy way to make instructional tutorials.
  • The remote access feature is particularly nice so long as you secure it.
  • TeamViewer could offer logs of remote access in a weekly report to make tracking of access easier.
  • TeamViewer has added employee efficiency in the IT department and in management.
TeamViewer was more robust, professional and polished than the competition we checked out. We use TeamViewer for our remote meetings and to record quick toturials. We have been very pleased with its performance. Remote access is great and simple with Teamviewer. GoToConnect is a bit easier for my staff to do support sessions, unless we want to record the remote session, then we definitely use Teamviewer.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

Teamviewer is great on our Windows PCs and Servers. I've used android devices to access them on many occassions as well. It is one of the few tools out there where I could reliably accomplish a task from my android device to a PC in the office without wanting to pull my hair out.
We are not currently taking advantage of any of these apart from two factor authentication. We do not need the HIPAA or security certificates currently. It is good to know that these are handled should these ever become requirements in our company. Single sign on is a good tool, but we do not currently use it.
Teamviewer is great for remote access and remote machine management. The IT department uses other tools for customer support sessions, generally though. However, if we need to record a remote support session with customers, this is our choice of tool. For meetings, colaborations and to record demonstrations it works really well.

TeamViewer Security and Support

We did not continue to purchase premium support. When we had it, it was great.
Team viewer is a great tool. The free option will let you try it out. You can set up remote computer access on multiple machines to make it easy to manage many machines. It will let you know when updates are ready to be installed or AV has been turned off. It is very fast and fluid for remote control.

We've also used it for recording demos and doing presentations, where it worked very well.

It's a great tool.

Using TeamViewer

3 - Management and the IT department are the main users of TeamViewer in our organization.
2 - Management and the IT department have a wide range of skills but all took to using TeamViewer very easily.
  • Remote collaboration is the primary use of TeamViewer for us.
  • Remote access to machines is a nice added benefit.
  • Screen sharing while offsite with TeamViewer is helpful for troubleshooting individual machines.
  • Being able to record a session as a tutorial or informational video is a huge bonus.
  • We don't yet use TeamViewer for customer tech support but haven't ruled it out as an option.
We are very happy with TeamViewer and its ease of use. The functionality provided is just right for our organization and its users.

Evaluating TeamViewer and Competitors

  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
  • Prior Experience with the Product
After using the tool to collaborate with a contractor, the management fell in love with the software. We've since started using it in the IT department more and more.
We would have tried out the free trial sooner had we known how useful this tool could be. We weren't aware of what we were missing.

TeamViewer Implementation

The implementation was really straight forward and didn't give us any trouble.
Change management was minimal - We didn't have any issues and the integration was virtually seemless in our small organization.
  • There really weren't any significant issues. In some cases a user didn't initially apply the key and their trial would run out.

TeamViewer Training

Yes, the product is very intiuitive. It is my boss's favorite remote access solution and option for recording demonstrations.

TeamViewer Support

The support from the Teamviewer team has always been top notch. Any support ticket that we have submitted has been handled very quickly and with the best possible resolution. We find in most cases, contacting for a support ticket is not even necessary, as the knowledge base is more than adequate.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success

We do not currently have the premium support as Teamviewer is one of several tools we use. But the ease of teamviewer makes it my boss's favorite. What support we have used in the past was very quick and efficient and solving all our questions and problems. If we needed to add premium support for an issue, we would not hesitate to add it back in.

Using TeamViewer

This application does everything we chose it for and more. It is easy to use and quick to setup. We've had no problems using TeamViewer.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Consistent

  • Setting up remote access can be tricky at first, but easy once you figure it out.

Upgrading TeamViewer

Yes - We've been through many upgrades with teamviewer. It went mostly smooth. Sometimes you can find a machine that did not get an upgrade and have to go back and get it updated to communicate, but other than that, it goes really well. We do not fear the dreaded suggestion to upgrade like some applications and tools.
Yes - We've gone from free to paid. The ease of use and power of the tools made making the jump really a no brainer. We have many tools available that are similar, but this one is by far the easiest and most used by my boss for remote access and recording demos.
