Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Intuitive, easy to use, fast, great for attachments (uploading in behind other processes - the app actually really works while it finishes uploads)

There are 2 main competitors I feel, Google Sheets and MS Excel. Both are great for creating complex spreadsheets with complex logic and interlinking in between them, however, the speed of quickly creating process flows, data management systems and more in Airtable is way better.

Given the fact that we also have a large proportion of our team that is not very tech-savvy, we've faced difficulty in getting people to use formulae like VLOOKUP or conditional statements etc in traditional spreadsheet applications, and now with Airtable they can create their own process and logic flows without writing any code.

  • The price from Airtable fits our budgets a lot better and does A LOT more than co-schedule.
  • Asana is not as comprehensive as airtable
  • I picked airtable because of the price and the functions that it includes. It has a lot more items than most databases and for the price, you cannot go wrong! I'm having my husband use it for his company as well.

  • Microsoft Excel, Smartsheets, Salesforce, RelateIQ and Google Sheets
We spent significant time evaluating a number of CRM / Spreadsheet equivalents. Airtable beats them all in its flexibility and ease of use with many different inputs (often not or poorly handled by others). It also automates so many of the "common" use cases to the point where after data is in the software there's not that much work to get meaningful insight and usage out of it. This means more people can use it aside from well-versed folks, and it's easy to come up with a ton of use cases that might have been too cumbersome or impossible to make with other pieces of software.

  • Smartsheets
Smartsheets seemed to have the capabilities and features that we wanted from airtable, however, it was unclear what the final product would look like and required an upfront investment of time and money to pay for consulting hours and create the system that we needed. With Airtable it was so user-friendly and intuitive that I was able to test our different set-ups on my own and create something that worked well for my team before committing to the pro plan (which we now have and love!).

I've stated this in earlier sections but to put it simply, Airtable provides a way to create a customizable database with standardized metadata across archival collections without being overly complex or costly. This has supported our description of paper materials. The pro–a system that is not overly robust for our needs–is also a limitation and we would not be able to use it for records in need of more layered description, for which we are using FileMaker Pro.

We were looking for a Pinterest style interface to display a number of apps. With Airtable, it is easily create your own database collections, and quickly slice and dice your information to create Pinterest-style galleries for various audiences.

I also tried using a Google spreadsheet. Airtable makes things like linking records, and creating field types like check boxes, a lot easier, and the multiple flexible views (especially calendar) are wonderful.

I tried using Trello, but found the somewhat limited view options to be frustrating. I love being able to look at my information as a table, as cards, or as a calendar.

I don't know of any other product that does what Airtable does, making previously static collections of data fields into a relational database without requiring any database training or significant conversion. It's kinda magic!

Airtable is the only system that gives us the flexibility to both store information related to our clients and event details while also managing the workflow and responsible parties for the tasks associated with these clients and events. The way these two key components of our work can interface through Airtable is truly unique and very efficient. Compared to all other companies we researched, Airtable was the clear choice. Airtable is also reasonably priced, which is very important for a nonprofit's bottom line.

Airtable is easier to use than Trello, less complex than Slack, and has great integration and better project management tools than Google Docs. For us, it is definitively a winner. We have very diverse projects and Airtable can handle them all very well. From events to special projects to grant tracking, we can really do it all.

Anything that we were able to do in Zoho, we were able to do it with Airtable (for free). Again, we're a small organization. Our scale may be the reason why it was easy to choose Airtable for our database.

Airtable is a bit like a Trello on steroids. Apart from the Kanban view, you have a lot more ways to manage your data. You can use a database view or a calendar view. And you can add as many fields as you want, which is very limited on Trello.

For us, the most important things to consider were the relational aspect (linking one record to another record) and the ease of use. We found Smartsheets clunky and unable to add relationships, and introducing relationships in Google Sheets or Excel was just too difficult to sustain beyond one or two spreadsheets in very specific circumstances. Airtable's layout and easy relational capabilities made it our top pick.
