We use isolved to process payroll for over 20 different restaurant clients and not having to do bank rec for payroll checks and not having to processing payroll taxes is a plus with having so many clients. It's easy to customize to each of our clients needs for their payroll.

isolved is used to process payroll. I use isolved Hire to post positions, review applications, communicate with applicants and document the stages of the applicant. I use isolved for reporting, storing all employee records and for analytical reporting.

The customer service is great. The team members are always very helpful and pleasant to work with. If there is something they are not able to help with, they will go to another member or department for assistance.

We use iSolved for processing payroll, entering HR data, and onboarding. Previously we had 2 separate software's (1 for payroll and 1 for HR) so we had a lot of double entry. We also did not have electronic onboarding capabilities prior to moving to iSolved. The system has helped us take a step toward being more automated in our processes.

  • Creating custom reports is easy.
  • Payroll taxes are always accurate.
  • Self-Service is getting harder to use for our employees each year I've found. They are trying to make it more secure, which is great, but they have made it harder than it should be for employees to reset a password. They also took password reset access away from clients which has hindered our employees greatly in my opinion.
  • In my experience, sometimes it's hard to reach a customer service representative who understands our company's unique processes.
  • In my experience, system reports have been changed in the past without notifying clients and then couldn't be fixed or replicated. This caused our company an audit finding because a report wasn't pulling information correctly.
Self-service changes have made it hard for our employees to reset their passwords when needed. We often have to wait several days for a customer service rep to do the reset since access was removed from clients in early 2023. We are also the middle man between the service rep and the employee for self-service resets which hinders the process. Payroll processing is super simple and easy to get done. Employee changes are also easy to manage and see the history of.

We use isolved for payroll and HR purposes. We have recently began using the onboarding feature for our new hires and that has made it easier on us since we no longer have to enter all of their information in the system. We would like to use the timeclock feature but due to us being non-profit and having numerous different grants that employees are paid by, we have not moved that far yet. It is something we are currently looking into.

The website is easy to use and "clean" looking. My biggest issue is when employees can't get logged in to self serve. The only thing I can do is put a ticket in and wait for someone to send a new link to the employee. If the employee does not check their email in time, the link expires and the process has to start all over. I also have issues with employees changing their phone number and not changing it in their self serve so then they can't do the second verification step. That initiates another ticket from me. If the employer is not going to have the ability to be more helpful with this process, then I feel the employee should be allowed to contact isolved directly so that I'm not a "middle man".

We use the system for our entire employee life cycle (from hire to COBRA) and most of everything in between plus expense managment. It's a great all in one. Easy use for our employees (all levels of education). Easy reporting to send to our accounting team, benefit feeds that help with on going changes for a fast growing company.

If you are looking for an all in one system from hire to fire (including COBRA) this is a great product. I've used several and some of the features are far better than i've seen in other platforms. Implementation was great, and our project manager really insured ease. There is a specialist for each feature so many names to juggle and remember who does what. Like i said our PM helped and made implementation seamless - however keep that in mind when you move away from implementation. You still have several specialist if something specific is needed (ie. benefits specialist for open enrolment or a different one for 401k issue). It's a catch 22. Your specialist are subject matter experts in their area and know the system - but having to remember everyone can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes frustrating. I have a wonderful customer success manager and dedicated customer support person who are wonderful to work with on every day items. I almost gave up on the product after having several issues but the team worked hard to resolve several issues we were having.

isolved software is pretty easy to navigate and allows admin users to modify a lot of what their employees see. The payroll and PTO being so closely attached to one another is an issue we have along with the wait time for customer service responses.

isolved has the capability to do a lot for employers, but the method in setting certain things up becomes difficult. For example, to set up the Review process - there's multiple places you have to go in order to get the initial set up prepared before you can administer. If everything was in one place, and more accessible, it would be less frustrating.

I use isolved on a daily basis. It is used for our payroll and benefits. We have just implemented the isolved Time and working on getting that running for all regions. The benefits piece is also used and it is very easy to administer. We are also using the Self Service, which was a little difficult at first, but it is definitely getting easier.

With HCM or HRIS software its about finding the right fit for your org (employee makeup, size, industry, etc) isolved is perfect for companies of our size who smaller but still growing. Our Implementation Process was a bit of a nightmare due to lack of communication, conflicting answers to questions and asking for reports and data multiple times after it had already been provided. However, since transitioning over to Customer Service, our experience has been nothing short of great. We are very please with the team and the customer service we are receiving.

We use isolved for all employee related functions from timekeeping and payroll to leave accruals and employment information. If any issues arise, our team is great at helping us work through them. If I had a criticism, it would be to make it a little more customizable in some aspects.

iSolved is great at onboarding employees and storing all their personnel information in once place. A workflow set up to prompt the next change would be helpful, but understood that this may not be possible in all scenarios.

Time and attendance. Great functionality. We used to use paper time cards (I know...), so this is a tremendous improvement. Now payroll take a few hours to complete. The ATS is another time saving process. We used an excel spreadsheet previously and it was too manual to keep up with. The ATS allows us to get away from paperwork since it's automated and links to the HCM side. I also like that I can file all the employee records instead of paper files. I use our HR drive as a backup to isolved instead of paper files.

I like that it's an all around HCM system. I enjoy that you can add on modules based on what your needs are and expand on this as your company grows. I don't like the reporting so much. This could be a lack of training on my part, but I wish it were possible to get a "reports for dummies" training or guide that gives more details into what each report provides. I have to read a brief description when I click on it that doesn't always tell me much, then run the report only to find out it's not what I needed. Very exasperating, especially when my reports are being requested by my boss or his boss and the time is short.

We use Ahola to set up payroll accounts and to process payrolls. We get payroll clients and provide them with whatever services they want that iSolved has to offer. A lot of clients use onboarding, Itime, HRIS, and etc. We also utilize the iSolved university to learn more about isolved or just when we have general system questions or how to's we also encourage our clients to use the university as well.

iSolved is a great payroll platform although because of its ability to do anything, training is much more intense than any other platform. Depending on your client base or needs, this may or may not be the platform for you. In my opinion, those doing basic payrolls will not need this, although anyone doing slightly more chaotic payrolls will absolutely want this platform.

I run payroll for many clients. Simple ones are just that: simple. Those more intense ones almost have to have isolved to use them. They can get fairly intense and isolved is leading in navigating those issues. iSolved also takes many months for even the tech saavy to get used to.

I work directly with clients who are building and administrating benefit plans and open enrollments. After working with several other benefit enrollment systems I can confidently say that isolveds benefit integration is not only extremely robust but also extremely user friendly. While there is a learning curve to benefit and open enrollment builds anywhere you go, as soon as you go through their online course you will have a great understanding of the system and how it works.

We utilize isolved as a comprehensive HRIS system for our employees. When I started with the company, it was strictly used for payroll processing only but we have evolved the system to include onboarding, benefits administration, time and attendance, expense management, and yearly goals so that it can be a "one-stop shop" for our employees.
  • It provides many customizable features and reports.
  • The company keeps me up to date on the latest changes in the industry.
  • It is always looking to implement new features to help keep the HRIS system whole.
  • The customer service response needs to be better. All representatives are friendly to work with but from time of submission of the issue to resolution averages about a week, perhaps more.
  • With new launches, the "bugs" in the system always require troubleshooting. This is fine but this leads to longer response times as the CSR team hasn't been trained on how to fix them.
  • We have had lots of issues of who to go to for what issues, which also leads to the lag time in responses. We follow the protocol, only to find out our contact is no longer with the company or was on vacation. Again, this is what causes a lot of our delays in having any issues addressed and resolved.
I think the isolved system is great in the sense that there are many functions and things I can custom tailor to my company and our needs. We continue to grow and invest with the company each year and do look forward to working with them into the foreseeable future. The biggest issue, however, is when something does go wrong or I need a best practices clarification, the response time on getting to the right person to assist me has been very underwhelming. I have learned to ask questions immediately as they come up so it allows ample time for them to route to the right person before they become a critical need.

We use iSolved for all of our payroll needs. We started it 3 years ago. We used to do payroll in-house, but with the new insurance rule, we made the switch. They help us with anything payroll related: bonuses, child support, insurance, 401(k), quarterly and yearly federal/state reports, and W2s. They submit all government reports too, and they give our employees direct access to their account, where they can see digital pay-stubs, update info, and receive digital W2s all online. I mainly use the program, but they also offer online onboarding, so the store managers do initiate onboarding, but only have access to that.
  • Reporting state and federal reports.
  • Customer service is amazing!
  • It provides ease of access for myself as an admin, and for the employees.
  • Their mobile app is streamlined.
  • My BIGGEST complaint is that their desktop site does not have a mobile view. They have an app for employees, but as an admin, I have needed to use the site on my phone out of the office, and it is impossible! Everything is mushed up and little. It's completely impossible to use.
  • Not sure if available, but would like a digital time card swipe for one of our locations.
  • The website time lag is a little slow, but I realize that is because it is a lot of information and it has to be secure.
It's very well suited to our company. We have 130 employees. They have even more programs than we even use at this level. Everything HR-related is there and very easy to use. I love the reports, and I am able to make custom reports, which I have to have. We look at information in a lot of different ways, and I can get all the info needed.

iSolved is being used for payroll and human resources and is being used company wide by the department managers and/supervisors. The managers/supervisors don't use the human resources portion of the software but rather the time keeping portion.

  • Sometimes when recording notes or corrective actions, the back button doesn't work
  • Changing up items that I search in the menu bar because I sometimes can't remember them LOL
iSolved is genuinely user friendly and because our company is so complex, it's great for departmentalization and allocations to our different locations.

We use isolved for time off tracking and requests, payroll, onboarding and HR records. We also use it for Share and perform and would like to get to the point of using it for employee interaction and rewards.
  • Payroll-I am confident that payroll is efficient and accurate. Employee information is updated by the employees so they always have control over their ACH and personal information.
  • Time off requests are streamlined and sent to necessary parties. A quick look up on the employee calendar tells us what time they are using and for what amount of time.
  • Onboarding, while this has been helpfu, I am not sure we are using it to it's full capacity
  • Share and Perform, reviews are cumbersome and limited. Many of our employees have more than one supervisor who should review them.
  • Employee recognition and rewards, very cumbersome to get up and going. Feel that training is lacking in this area.
  • Training, there was so much training up front that we were overwhelmed. Would have preferred to just get the payroll running that choose later times for other training. Ongoing detailed training as employees come and go, would be most beneficial.
  • isolved University is outdated in many videos. The screens they are using are not the same as what we are seeing now.
Strictly for payroll, I think it is very well suited. That is obviously where their expertise lies. Their customer service is friendly and always willing to help. I don't wait on hold for periods of time, I talk to a real person. There is no automated system to bypass.

For those looking for the entire HR process, there is much to learn and it can be consuming. Plan on taking time and assigning two people or more to really learn the ins and outs.

We use isolved for Time Clock, ACA Pro, Learn Pro, Payroll/HR, Benefits, Time, and Carrier Connections. I love the Quick Hire feature, its user friendly and really fast to enter new employees to payroll and benefits. ACA makes it simple so all is required is double check the benefits and process the rest is completed by isolved and 1095's are mailed to business in less than 72 hours. Learn Pro is great for employees and admins to learn and stay current with all the features. Benefits makes it simple to enroll employees and track for ACA. Overall its a great tool to have and makes tracking effortless. However, I am ALWAYS disappointed with the customer service reps, the turnover rate is high I seem to have new group every 3-6 months and they always make mistakes that cause so many issues with our accounting department. i Also don't like the changes and updates that take place in back end, as they don't notify us the customers and reports and access are missing then days and weeks are wasted trying to gain access or a solution.
  • Time and Time Clock feature is great
  • Benefits is great tool for open enrollment and new employee enrollment as well as termination.
  • Quick Hire is extremely fast to input new or rehire employee.
  • Updates on back end, remove access from certain features and functions without notification.
  • Reports go missing that are essential without notification.
  • Customer service Reps need to be extremely careful when making changes to rules and payroll changes cause issues with accounting in a huge negative way.
Enrollment and benefits are organized and ACA PRO makes tax part easy. Payroll tax is excellent makes it stress free and it always accurate if attention is need it is addressed by tax department ASAP. The W2, 945, and 1095 all are done on time and mailed out within 24-72 hours by FedEx for next day delivery. Strategic Team needs more training and need to have depth of customer knowledge, get to know your customer's company needs!!!!
