Lattice has become an essential tool for users when it comes to conducting performance reviews, tracking goals, and offering praise on a quarterly basis. The software's flexibility allows it to be heavily relied upon by the Culture Team within the organization for managing various aspects of employee development and engagement, including pulse surveys, OKRs, 360-degree feedback, 1-on-1s, weekly updates, and growth paths. Users appreciate how Lattice streamlines collaboration, goal sharing, and progress tracking across different teams and departments. It facilitates communication, goal setting, and messaging throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, Lattice's transparency and accountability features have proven valuable for managers and the entire C-suite in terms of tracking progress and maintaining alignment with company goals. Overall, Lattice helps users stay focused on achieving their goals while strengthening relationships between managers and employees.

Intuitive User Interface: Many users have praised the intuitive and user-friendly interface of Lattice, with multiple reviewers stating that it allows both employees and managers to easily navigate and use the platform effectively. The design simplifies the performance review process, enabling users to quickly write reviews and view feedback in an adjacent pane. This streamlined approach speeds up the review cycle, saving time and effort for users.

Seamless Integrations: Reviewers appreciate the seamless integration of Lattice with other tools such as Slack and Google Sheets. Users value the ability to access updates and reminders easily, as well as share progress with team members, enhancing collaboration and efficiency. These integrations make it easier for users to incorporate Lattice into their existing workflow, improving productivity and streamlining processes.

Goal-tracking Functionality: The goal-tracking functionality in Lattice has received high praise from users. Several reviewers have highlighted its effectiveness in following up when users have not updated their goal progress. This feature ensures that goals are actively monitored and progress is tracked effectively, fostering creativity, insight, and self-awareness among individuals. By empowering users to take ownership of their professional development, this capability promotes personal growth and achievement.

Difficult Navigation: Some users have found the interface of Lattice difficult to navigate, expressing that it could be more streamlined. They have suggested improvements to the home page layout in order to enhance user experience.

Goal Tracking and Completion: Users have mentioned frustration with the inability to check off or complete goals within Lattice. This results in the system continuously reminding them until the goals are manually deleted. Several users have expressed a desire for a feature that allows them to keep track of completed goals for future reference.

Lack of Customization and Integration: Reviewers have pointed out limitations in customization options and integration capabilities within Lattice. They feel that there should be more templates available for growth paths and reviews, as well as additional integrations with different HR systems.

Users highly recommend Lattice for its capabilities in processing planning and launching new products. However, they have made several recommendations to enhance the user experience. Firstly, users suggest that the user interface could be more intuitive, with changes in background colors and more active images. Secondly, users express that the current appearance of Lattice is plain and resembles a notepad. They recommend incorporating visual elements to make it more visually appealing and engaging for users. Lastly, users advise making improvements to the UI to make it more user-friendly, such as streamlining processes or adding features that simplify navigation and task execution.

We use Lattice for the following:
1. Performance reviews.
2. Praise & Feedback.
3. Pulse Surveys.
4. Setting goals.
5. Development Plan discussions.
6. Some people use it to plan 1:1 meetings and set agendas.

There is also a place to see company anniversaries and values. An org chart exists but it doesn't seem very user-friendly.
  • Performance Reviews - I like that you can write a review and see feedback in an adjacent pane to help it move along.
  • Public Praise.
  • Pulse Surveys.
  • The interface is a little bit difficult to navigate. I think the home page could be more streamlined.
  • There is no way to check off or complete goals. It just reminds you forever until you delete them. There should be a way to have a list of completed goals.
  • The org chart could be clearer, although it's possible that it's just how my company is doing it.
It's good for completing performance reviews and setting goals. However, goals should have a different setup, as I mentioned in the previous question. The company also uses it for pulse surveys and one large survey that goes out each year. While I don't have anything to do with compiling that data, it seems to be functional for the HR team. Their goal is to make sure that large survey is as anonymous as possible and that they are able to effectively compile the data. They share it with us. The org chart could be more user-friendly too.

  • Positive - getting out surveys to see where company culture can be improved. They used that to help with work/life balance. I cannot provide numbers or anything, I don't have access to the data.

We use Lattice here at Seamless.AI for 1on1 notes with our direct report, goal setting, quarterly reviews, employee shout outs, and to view organization charts. It is extremely convenient to have all of these things in one spot to reference as needed. Whenever I get a hire, I am able to update my goals and then reference those when I'm filling out my quarterly review or going over things with my boss in our 1on1.

I love using Lattice to complete my quarterly reviews - because anything I'd want to reference from the past quarter (in terms of employee feedback received, manager feedback from 1on1s, and goals I've set for myself) are all shown in lattice and are easy to reference while completing my personal review.

  • Very positive, helps me track and push to achieve my goals!
Rippling also has an org chart feature, similar to Lattice. I feel as though Lattice's org chart is easier to read and break down by department.

Lattice is being used across the organization to streamline and coordinate the individual objectives with the organization's goals. It is used at an individual level and also across all teams and areas, including VPs and upper management. It helps to make sure that the work everybody is doing is actually making a difference and to align efforts across all teams.
  • Adapts to OKR methodology
  • Great integrations (Slack, Sheets, etc)
  • Helps with performance review process
  • Organizational chart view is not very friendly
  • It could add holiday planning to provide a more robust solution
  • There needs to be a better mobile app experience for the user
I think Lattice is very useful for medium-sized to large businesses. As it is quite manual and it needs a lot of input from workers, probably small organizations will not see the benefit of using the software. Lattice can help to make sure no efforts are being duplicated and you have one responsible individual for each item, which is very helpful on big structures.

  • The platform is quite expensive
  • We have been better at tracking OKRs with Lattice's efficiency
  • It has streamlined performance reviews to make sure everyone is compensated in a fair way
I don't think there is a natural substitute for Lattice. Trello has some of the same functionalities in terms of assigning items directly to individuals, but Lattice does a better job at tracking and grading the level of completion for each task. I haven't found any decent alternatives on the market so far.

Lattice is being used to evaluate performance review as well as to align the objectives of all of the people on the company. We also used it on a day to day basis to give basis to the feedback process between managers and employees and as a central hub where the organizational chart is available for everyone to see.
  • Very visual feel, the organizational chart helps everyone understand the company structure.
  • Great if you are going to use the OKR methodology.
  • Its not easy to request feedback from your manager.
  • Customer support is slow to respond.
Lattice is well suited for companies that are very focused. We use it to disseminate the OKR methodology in all of the employees of the company and it has helped a lot to make sure everybody is focused on the most important tasks and is able to think strategically and not get lost on details that do not add value.

  • It has allowed us to focus more on the important things, increasing ROI.
  • It has reduced employee turnover, reducing costs.
I think Reflektive is better for small organizations, as it does have a more informal look and does not have such robust functionalities. Lattice works on big organizations and is better suited for longs chain of command and it has a more serious look and feel. However, Reflketive is better with notifications, it is more useful and less intrusive.
Lattice Support is not that good. We have had to have calls with them in the past and their product team did not have a lot of knowledge about their product. I believe they are able to provide a much better level of service and that would increase my likelihood to work with them again.

Lattice is being used across all of the organization. We use it to align the same objectives across the company. The great thing about the software is that you can customize it to follow the OKR methodology which we use internally and you get to understand how each objective from each member in the organization is correlated and points to a bigger goal.
  • You can follow the OKR methodology within the software.
  • You get a clear picture of the hierarchy and the organizational chart of the business.
  • It can be integrated with Slack.
  • Email notifications are quite annoying, they should be customizable and more useful.
  • Workes better on desktop than in the app.
  • Customer support is not very fast on issue resolution.
Lattice is very useful for technological companies that want to focus their efforts on the OKR methodology as there are not a lot of tools in the market that can be adapted to do it. It's useful for big organizations since the cost is a bit high and its functionalities only make sense when a certain number of employees is met.

  • It has helped us to be more focused on our organization and objectives, improving ROI.
  • We have been able to have performance reviews on the tool, improving ROI as well.
  • It's a bit pricey which affects our margins.
I believe Lattice is the strongest of these options because it is very customizable to each organization. Its well designed and can be used for all department needs. I found the other solutions a bit too rigid, which was inconvenient. I like the flexibility I get with Lattice.
Support is Lattice's weakest link, by far. Their support team has been slow to answer, and on the online demo we had, the audio on the call was bad and the explanations were not very clear. I believe the software is really good, but the account managers are not very helpful.
