Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

  • Before using Optimizely, we were shooting in the dark with our design decisions. We'd make a change, then have to wait to see our user numbers drop over the course of a couple weeks, then roll back the changes. Our front end team would get frustrated with the wasted time, and try again. With Optimizely, our decisions are data-driven, morale doesn't take a hit, and we are always moving forward with our site.

  • Lift in Revenue and Conversion Rates. We've ran hundreds of tests, with a few big wins and a few spectacular losses. But while winning tests are implemented for 100% of visitors and immediately begin to contribute to the bottom line, even the losses can lead to more followup tests, some of which end up as winers by the 2nd or 3rd generation as well.
  • Optimizely is by far the fastest and easiest way to change content on pages, while a more permanent change is in the dev queue. This is great for almost all departments - Marketing, Compliance, Dev and QA, Customer Service, etc.

  • In the past we would have to have full development on our site for all projects, whether they ultimately were successful or not. This program has helped us lower our cost and increase employee efficiency through analysis of each performance before implementation.
  • Our lead conversion has increased through newly tested navigational and promotion elements.

  • We have found new ways of displaying different aspects of pages, and have thusly increased our conversion and revenue. Some areas have higher areas of improvement. But you know quite soon if something is helping your business or not.

  • Higher conversion rates across our site!
  • Greater insight into how visitors use our site.
  • Massively increased employee productivity.
  • A less buggy user experience since we can quickly deploy temporary fixes when bugs are discovered.
  • Facilitates a culture of testing. Because it's so easy to do, we test many of the changes we make to our site prior to deploying them in our code. "Let's test it" is a very common phrase around here.

  • The first positive is that it helps in our quest for better conversion in several different areas across our website, like lead generation and revenue to name a few.
  • The second positive is that this tool allows us to make creative decisions using data. This has always been a struggle for us and this tool helps solve this issue.
  • One negative aspect is that this tool allows us to think about so many testing possibilities that now have to compete for prioritization.

  • Increased member conversion/registration rate on core websites
  • Increased site engagement (pages per visit, time on site)

  • There is a definite positive impact on ROI and we use it primarily to help us with that.
  • Having a platform do the work for us helps us focus on what we do best - build a great consumer product! Don't think that you've got everything under control and can build it yourself, because you're not in the business of building an optimization platform.

  • We've had so many wins through Optimizely I can't even begin to tell you: better UX, greater revenue, better engagement.
  • We did one test where we simply changed the color of a message bar and we saw a 50% bump in average revenue.
  • We used Optimizely to better target users for specific promotions. This targeted testing generated higher conversions.
