TrustRadius Top Rated 2019

Announcing the Top Rated Ecommerce Personalization Software for 2019

Today, we awarded the 2019 TrustRadius Top Rated badges for Ecommerce Personalization Software. The TrustRadius Top Rated awards are the most trusted in the industry because they are an unbiased reflection of customer sentiment, based solely on user feedback and satisfaction scores. Top Rated awards are the voice of the market and are not influenced by analyst opinion, the vendor’s company size, popularity, or status as a TrustRadius customer.

Here are the winners:

Monetate

Monetate is a personalization engine which can produce intelligent, contextual product recommendations and 1-to-1 personalization for ecommerce businesses. Monetate can act upon real-time and historical visitor data, group-level buyer data, as well as product data (e.g. highest reviewed, top sales or hot items, etc.) to produce recommendations. To avoid frustrating a visitor, Monetate can also rely upon configurable rules, for example, never recommend out-of-stock items to online shoppers.

Monetate supports a range of website experimentation and optimization using tools like ANOVA and A/B testing, and out-of-the-box segmentation procedures. These tests can then be applied to existing data in the users CRM or customer data platform (CDP), or to third-party data sources. Monetate can integrate these test results into its dynamic personalization allowing marketers to capitalize on their data and research.

On TrustRadius, a large portion of users come from enterprise level companies (47%). Monetate reviewers repeatedly praise Monetate’s ease of deploying promotional banners and implementing A/B tests, their responsive support team, and powerful testing and segmentation features for providing site visitors with the most relevant content and recommendations.

“… I would recommend Monetate to a business that wants to get set up with testing and personalisation quickly, with the knowledge that they can get the support they need to learn the tool but don’t need to be web developers to use it. I would also say that in the case of wanting to set up very specific experiments, Monetate is very useful as the targeting can be quite complex and there is the ability to integrate with other applications as well as set up custom targets.”

What is Ecommerce Personalization Software?

Ecommerce personalization software is used by online retailers to provide site visitors with relevant offers and product recommendations based on past activities or known visitor characteristics. Some common features of these products include the ability to offer shoppers  dynamically priced goods or bundles, “also bought” product recommendations, and abandoned cart recovery.

Ecommerce personalization software also offers companies features to help them target repeat customers, such as recommendations for similar goods a visitor has purchased before (e.g. grocery items), alerts to wishlisted items that have been recently discounted, or loyalty offers.

For new customers, vendors offer capabilities such as visitor tracking through geolocation and IP address, traffic source awareness (e.g. search engine or clicking an ad), and through device type the user is browsing on. This software is designed to help increase companies’ bottom lines by increasing order values, conversion rate, and repeat business.

Also, ecommerce personalization may support website optimization by providing access to A/B testing, insights into customer activity via heatmaps or session recordings, or may include web analytics  and / or mobile analytics. Many ecommerce personalization products integrate with the company’s customer data platform or CRM, and of course the ecommerce platform or CMS software a company uses to host its online storefront.
