Both are useful and good, particularly when it comes to management reporting. I think the interface is occasionally slower than I would like, and the need to occasionally wait for an email for historical reporting is annoying. These come up about 10%-20% of the time, hence the 8/10 score.

Workspaces do a few things for us. They allow us to share internally among the team as well as a modified version for C-suite (so they dont get too overwhelmed by the volume of data and only focus on the important pieces of information). They also allow us to quickly see whats working/needs to be addressed. Insight stream allows a quick look at the movement each week and lets us see if changes are having an impact quickly.

This is a tough one. I gave Conductor a 7 because I think the naming conventions on the different functional areas of the interface is very much internal product usage. As a newer user I often have difficulty knowing exactly which section I should use to pull a particular data set. In addition, the fact that our large keyword base is spread across 3 different accounts is hard because we need to rely on the Conductor team to create custom configurations of data for us to use in the workspace area.

Once you get over the initial learning curve Conductor is easy to use and navigate. It is highly recommended to get one of the certifications that Conductor offers but especially Legend Certification. Workspaces help put everything you need for reporting and finding insights all in one place its only a few clicks to get there. I have to be honest and say I'm not wholly thrilled about the insight stream, while it does give good stories, they aren't often the best that we want to show clients.

The InsightStream gives us good high-level takeaways that help us to monitor many accounts simultaneously without taking up too much time. We recently implemented Workspaces as an addition of our monthly reporting, which will also save time from manual keyword reporting. I find the insight stream helps me to see a big picture of the progress of different accounts. I then can further investigate different pieces to build out a strategy plan and understand what actionable next steps can be done to improve site performance further. I love the new InsightStream feature and check it for updates regularly. It provides informative tidbits and key insights that are worth sharing. Workspaces are great for creating reports on the fly and sending them out or setting up a delivery cadence. Also, our customer success manager frequently creates new workspaces for us that are extremely useful.

InsightStream and Workspaces make it easy to get a quick and regular overview with just enough insight into the latest SEO efforts and search performance. The setup and additional functionality can then be accessed/used as and when required. The overall usability can be improved by providing even better in situ explanations of functions and workflows to the user on one hand and possibly a little decluttering of the interface on the other. It may benefit from having fewer features on the page showing initially, and reveal features as and when in tool panels, or similar. Possibly it would make sense to define some job positions like SEO specialist, Content editor, or similar and then in the tool define some (editable) feature setups for them. This is possible in e.g. photoshop or other image or video editing software and makes it easy to have the right set of tools to hand for whatever the person job focus is that is using it?

It took me 2 months to become comfortable in my use of the platform and begin to use it regularly in my day-to-day work. The insight stream is great as it gives you a look at both positive and negative performance indicators on a daily basis right when you log in to the platform. Workspaces could use some work as their email deliverabilty/pdf formatting sucks...I hear that is going to be fixed in the latest release this year. :-)

Visibility Performance is perhaps the most useful feature in Conductor. The ability to look at both true rank and standard rank of keywords with just a click is a great feature and something which help better analyze keyword rank movements.

The additions of the InsightStream was my favorite change made to this point, a close second would be the partnership with DeepCrawl. The insight stream has completely changed and streamlined my use of the tool. I can't image going back. The data is quickly put in basic wins and loses and updated in a familiar format allowing the user to act on items that would have taken either customer reports or a dive deeper into the tool itself. It cuts down on time between discovery and action. The deep crawl has also become a staple of our SEO practice with ease of being on the same platform of all our other work. Only pain is updated keywords, which requires manual extort and import using excel. The tool should make recommendations that add keywords at a click based on competitors or like phrases.
