We are currently using QuickBooks Online for client accounting for those clients who prefer that we record their accounting activity for them. Some of our clients are also using it for entering their own transactions. QuickBooks Online also allows accounting tasks to be shared by people who are not at the same physical location. It is easy to use and makes it easy to share accounting information with clients. It is a great accounting program for small non-profit organizations who change treasurers on a regular basis because each new treasurer does not need to install the software. It provides consistency.

I have quite a few clients on QuickBooks Online, some of with only one or two users, and some with several. It has improved greatly over the past few years. It's a good option for tech savvy clients who want an option that's easily accessible and user friendly. When the new QBO was rolled out there were issues with long-time users adjusting to the new interface, but new users who hadn't worked with the old one liked it, so that may have been more a matter of what people were used to rather than the product itself.

I use it with my clients as a way for us to have access to the same information at all times. However, for job costing, I still stick with the desktop version. Also, payroll is unforgiving. If set up properly, it can be useful, but it is a bit limited for things like job costing.

The bank feeds can be tricky, and most clients need to have a period of adjustment before it starts to make sense to them.

I'm happy with it, and the clients on it are mostly happy with it. The recommended browser is Chrome, but sometimes in Chrome the bank rec screen is cut off, and I need to use IE. Oddly, IE is the browser that must be used to upload or download files, but Chrome is the recommended browser. If you have multiple Intuit accounts, there may be problems logging in, and I find that using an Incognito Chrome window helps with that.

We use QuickBooks Online for our firm's own accounting and to access some of our clients activity. We chose to use it for the access that it provides to the time and billing by the partners of the firm. In consulting with clients it is very efficient in that we can be on the phone with the client and walk them through steps as both of us can be in the software at the same time; is cuts down on the need to travel to a client. We love it.

We use QuickBooks Online to meet the bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing and bill payment needs of our small business clients, as well as internally for our own accounting needs. QuickBooks online provides a simple, accessible, low maintenance and low cost solution. QBO is very easy for our clients to use themselves, and it makes it easy for us to assist clients and provide training as well.

We use it with our clients to retrieve reports for audits and tax returns. The product is very un-user friendly (Slow, hard to customize reports) the only upside for this product is that you can access it online. I would never recommend this product to any client unless they absolutely have to have a product with online access.

I currently use QuickBooks Online for several companies that I work with. Some do most of the work themselves and have me review it and correct things; some have me do all of it on my end. It's great for companies that need to have access to their books from any location or by multiples users, especially if they want an accountant to have access to it later.

QuickBooks Online is being used by my clients - small owner managed businesses. It provides bookkeeping records, and generates invoices and financial statements. The client keeps the accounts receivable and bad debts records and reviews them on a monthly basis. It is user friendly and the reports generated are very useful. It is a common software highly used by certified accountants.

We utilize QuickBooks Online for client accounting. All of the professional staff utilize the program as we are all delivering client accounting work. It allows us to be more collaborative with our clients and be in their accounting regularly. We have been very experienced in using the QuickBooks Desktop version, but it was often difficult to get any accountant changes files back to the client or get large backup files.

It is being used by our clients as their tool to operate their business. We choose to integrate with QuickBooks Online because of the ease of use and layman-friendly interface. It addresses the problem we had of needing to offer our clients an easy-to-use tool they can utilize to run their day-to-day operations, while still giving us the ability to integrate with more robust accounting software.

I have been using the desktop version of QuickBooks for several years now for both tracking my own company's books as well as those of my clients. I did not make the move to the online version when it was first introduced due to the fact it did not have the ability to scan documents and attach the scanned documents to transactions. Once Intuit added this functionality, although limited as compared to the desktop version, I decided to make the move for my company's books. I have converted another company from the desktop version, which I used primarily for write-up, to the online version to move the relationship from just write-up work to a more interactive outsourced CFO type of service. The ability to interact/communicate with an audit trail regarding a specific transaction is wonderful.
I am using some apps -- Tsheets and Zen Payroll. While both of them get the job done with QBO there is still some work to be done in order for the apps to be what I would call truly integrated. For example, when I run a payroll in Zen the transaction is sent to QBO. It is a split transaction with on line showing the gross wages and the other for employer taxes which is fine for my purposes. However, when the transaction clears the bank and QBO imports the transaction, the Zen payroll transaction is actually two transactions -- one for the net wages to the employee and the other for the combination of employee and employer taxes. QBO cannot make the match between the bank transactions and the transaction sent directly by Zen to QBO. I am sure this issue will be worked out in the near future.
There other issue I am trying to overcome is the lack of a more robust document management system. While you can scan documents into QBO and attach them to some transactions, there is no folder structure and you cannot attach documents to all transactions -- a good example would be a bank statement. I would like the ability to download the bank statement into QBO (which can be done) and once the bank reconciliation is complete attach the statement to that 'transaction' and have it not show as an 'unattached' document or at least have the ability to put it into a separate bank statement folder for later reference.

We use QuickBooks Online for accounting and printing checks. As a small agency, staff members wear many hats. The online version is intuitive to use, and the reporting functions are particularly helpful. I would recommend it as a tool to assist in building capacity. It also makes audits easier. The budget vs. actuals is helpful in particular. It's good for payroll and reminds you when it's time to pay taxes and employees. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't allow for cash flow analysis, and it charges extra for some of the advanced options.
