We use NXT to manage our donor database of about 140,000 constituents for a large, public university, including alumni, parents, students, etc. My main concern is how frequently the platform or specific platform functions go down in outages. On Giving Tuesday, one of the largest fundraising events of the whole year, a key tool (RE Database View) was not accessible and down for many hours. This relates to another key concern, which is that our team still relies on the "old" version of Raiser's Edge (accessed through Database view) for some of our key, day-to-day functioning (like gift processing, managing memberships, and pulling specific queries). The cost in time and dollars is high and yet the service is undependable due to frequent outages and there are key functionalities that are not yet available in NXT yet.
  • Holistic View of Constituents
  • Offers Integrations with 3rd party tools for ease (ThankView, Live Alumni, etc)
  • Streamlined Lists functionality to make data reporting and pulling easier
  • Key Functionalities are missing from the new and supposedly updated program (managing memberships, creating and managing appeals, etc)
  • Numerous outages (especially on high-traffic days like Giving Tuesday)
  • Lack of key data points as usable fields in the Insights feature, making them unreportable
It is well-suited for organizations with large frontline-fundraising teams who need their Development Officers to learn the platform fast and manage their day-to-day data entry in a more user-friendly way (compared to database view).

We use RENXT to manage and review constituents as well as track proposals and develop new reporting data. The product also offers a suite of communication and marketing tools that we are beginning to explore, as well as event management. This tool also provides a customized donation form builder that can link directly to a blackbaud merchant account.
  • Constituent Presentation
  • Reporting
  • List Generation
  • Email Marketing
  • Gift entry and compatibility with DB
  • More oversight for external materials
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is best suited for a non-profit development and fundraising scenario. As long as you also have the accompanying RE7 database as well, NXT provides a succinct glimpse into constituent, gift, and fund data for staff members who would like to be able to see and report on this data, but would not like to make changes. NXT is not appropriate for any sort of data entry or management, as it is not fully capable of capturing what can be captured in the regular database view of RE7.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT along with Raise'rs Edge database to keep track of and manage our donor profiles, events, appeals, reports, donations, and outreach lists. Supervisors and individuals who are mostly viewers use Raiser's Edge NXT. For the most part, we primarily use the database version of Raiser's Edge for a number of reasons. The database version has gift entries with much more detail, as well as batch entry. In the database, we use the query and export regularly to build lists and reports. Sometimes I go into NXT to build a report because they have a more modern and presentable look. Unfortunately, the reports are less than reliable and often don't give me what I am trying to report. NXT is great for someone on the go or who only wants access to basic info, like an email or phone number for an individual, or to look up a person's giving history. Over the years Blackbaud has made many improvements to NXT and they continue to make efforts to improve its functionality. It is a robust CRM tool and one of the most comprehensive in the nonprofit world. I would recommend it - just not without the database version to give you what you really need for data entry, creating lists, and reporting.
  • It is a robust CRM which houses your constituents' basic info.
  • Easily accessible on the web, or as an app on your phone.
  • Easily pull up a constituent to see their relationships, gifts, appeals, events, ratings, etc.
  • In my opinion, the reporting tools are not user-friendly. They look nice but do not give me the criteria options I need to report. Also, they are often inaccurate.
  • The events module in NXT needs to connect to the events module in database.
  • From my experience, building lists in NXT is quite basic and needs to be more robust - more like a query in the Raiser's Edge database.
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is great if you have solicitors who go out into the field and just need access to individuals' information on the go. NXT is also great for supervisors who are less technologically savvy and just need access to someone's phone/email, plus their giving history. I would always recommend getting the database version to be the receptacle and source of all data entry and report generation. The database is clunky but reliable and incredibly robust.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage all data aspects of Institutional Advancement. From a research standpoint, we employ NXT to thoroughly organize all relevant data about our key constituents. This allows us to create a robust prospect pipeline for our institution's fundraising initiatives and to track prospective relationships as they are cultivated toward and stewarded for meaningful philanthropic commitments. NXT also provides a framework for us to conduct data experiments: to explore trends within the constituent population and conduct experimental data projects.
  • All constituent data is available in one place. The web view makes viewing information simple, accessible, and intuitive.
  • Includes a wide range of built-in data analytics.
  • Robust reporting capability that refreshes in (close to) real-time and alerts relationship managers when steps need to be taken.
  • Many of the pre-built dashboard fields are not applicable to all organizations. It would be beneficial to be able to tailor dashboards more specifically to one's needs.
  • Querying and reporting in the web view could be more robust and include the ability to pull in more in-house fields, such as prospect ratings and philanthropic giving interests.
  • The development of an app would be of great assistance to our frontline fundraisers.
Although it has its flaws, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is robust enough, flexible enough, and customizable enough that we have been able to make it work for basically all scenarios in our workplace. It can require some creativity and thoughtful brainstorming at times, but we have yet to encounter a data challenge that we could not solve, at least to a reasonable capacity.

We use RE NXT as our database. We use it to keep track of all of our constituents and their giving to the institution. We pull queries and reports on our constituents on anything from class year to total giving, college attended to year-to-year fundraising analyses.
  • User-friendly interface
  • Easy to find the information you are looking for
  • Map function is very helpful to quickly see where constituents live
  • Only shows a certain number of Actions, whereas database view shows them all
  • Doesn't show all the gift information on a gift record whereas database shows all information
  • Could be more mobile-friendly
I can access RE NXT from any computer, anywhere, which is a giant leap from the previously installed database version on a computer. We travel often and it's nice to know that if we need to use a different computer or device, we can still access our database.

We use Raiser's Edge for donation tracking and acknowledgments. It is also beneficial for pulling very detailed reports to help us with donor engagement and retention.
  • Detailed reports
  • Tailored queries
  • Donor management
  • Not intuitive
  • Requires a lot of training
  • Best for organizations with 1 full time employee or more fully devoted to this role, that has time for continuing education
Though considered the industry leader, it is not at all intuitive. They literally have Blackbaud University for continuing education and certification with their product, and the continual investment of time to learn the software, plus the large amount on onboarding for a new employee is cumbersome. Because of this, we do not use it to its full potential. That being said, the reports we do use are excellent, and the prospect of changing and loss of key data or capabilities is daunting. The product is best suited for offices where at least one employee's full time job is the database, and preferably a portion of another employee's time.

We use NXT to support our fundraising team. It is our database for donors, our communication system, and well as our work center to manage relationships.
  • Work center for organizing relationships
  • Donor records
  • Building lists is easy
  • Email communication feature could be more complex
  • Filtering lists in NXT could be more in depth
  • Forms could be more varied
It is well suited as a donor database and not well suited as a comms platform. I would recommend it to anyone with a small-mid donor file who wants to focus on tailored engagement and not mass communications.

I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage my portfolio of donors at The National WWII Museum. NXT is a nimble system that is easy to navigate and extremely user friendly. NXT allows me to record information to maintain an accurate account of opportunities, actions, and gift records. With the information from NXT, I can provide an excellent donor experience with the Museum.
  • Create lists
  • Reminds me of opportunities and action steps
  • Maintain excellent donor records
  • Creates a historical record of past interactions with donors for new fundraisiers
  • Attachments made in NXT available in Database view
  • Sending emails
  • Connection to business calendar in Outlook
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is well-suited to managing prospects. It is difficult to manage planned giving prospects, donors, and the legacy society.

Our organization uses Raiser's Edge for fundraising, but it also includes patient/family information. We track gifts, use wealth engine, and store valuable information regarding donors that is very helpful in our fundraising endeavors. I find it very user friendly, and it is also helpful in allowing us to keep statistics, such as enthnicity, age and other important information when seeking Foundation and government grants.
  • Running reports for solicitation results
  • Reporting for demographic statistics needed in grant applications
  • storing of important personal data intergral to seeking additional gifts
  • This may seem silly, but the view on the non-browser page is too small
  • Being honest, I rely on our IT Director to pull reports, and thus have very little to complain about regarding RE, with the exception of above.
  • Lastly, and perhaps more use of training videos or sessions would help me to construct queries and reports.
The only other experience I have with a database like RE was Banner that was used at a university. It was primarliy used to store student data, so using it for donor information did not always make reporting and mailing requests an easy task. I find that requests for mailing segmentations are much easier done through RE.

My organization uses NXT for all fundraising data entry and reporting. We are able to create advanced reports for our development team and organization constituents with the software, as well as tackle day-to-day gift tracking. I serve as the database manager and perform regular maintenance and cleanup to ensure data accuracy. Raiser's Edge NXT streamlines our data entry process.
  • Built-in reports cover development needs.
  • It is easy to navigate, and data is easily accessible on-the-go.
  • Support services elicit prompt and thorough direction.
  • Functionality with other Blackbaud products could be improved.
  • The need to switch between NXT and database view could be eliminated.
Gift entry is incredibly easy. Building donation forms for social media and website use is user friendly and fully encompasses gift recording needs. Pulling lists can be a bit cumbersome, but it all depends on the level of detail of data entered and how it needs to pull into a report.

I use RE NXT for data analytics and prospect management. Some of the business problems the product addresses are data health, data integrity and system management.
  • Prospect Insights
  • List and Dashboards
  • Automation of reporting, data
  • System outage and failures
  • Updates on data feeds
  • Improvement in format of profile layout
NXT Is modern and used efficiently within our team. Custom reports that were previously created in database view and are now automated and easily accessible in NXT. However; some of the data totals are off from RE NXT I am assuming its the criteria.

I am a daily end-user of Raiser's Edge NXT and assist other users within our unit and across campus. I was also on the development and implementation team for the university. During the process, I provided crucial technical insight and asked myriad questions through the eyes of IT, everyday users, limited users, admins, and future user needs. Discussions were around database view and web view use, features, and rights to what access levels certain groups and individuals should maintain.

Business problems tend to be common functionality errors and downtime with the product. We go weekly with at least 1-5 syncing or working errors. Other areas that hinder work are around what shows in the web view compared to the database view. Certain constituent biomarkers are only available in web view, which put additional load on certain team members to pull lists that the more numerous web view users could easily access. These are things like club, group, and event participation that do not transfer into fields in web view. The ability to know what groups and activities alumni and constituents have connections with limits insight into individuals and the prospect research.
  • User Interface
  • Support conversations
  • Dual availability of database and web views
  • Mobile access for those using on the road
  • Outlook email add-in is a big help
  • Ability to copy action to multiple constituents
  • Portfolio maps
  • Limit or remove downtime issues that frequently occur
  • Prospect markers like participation
  • Improved features within the Events section
  • Ability to connect an opportunity to more than one constituent or transfer
Raiser's Edge NXT is all about what someone needs in the toolbox and how much it costs. That is what is always comes down to when deciding on CRM tools for any organization. The ability to scale to use is important in growing any non-profit sector. RE NXT should have tiers that are helpful to small to very large organizations that allow the CRM to aid in the work they do and not eat up all of their operational budgeting. Yes, I am aware that a good tool is worth the money, but when there is a space of competitors the balance of cost and quality is one looked at deeply. As far as functionality, I recommend RE NXT to about anyone. As far as the tools needed and cost, it would be less likely to recommend to smaller non-profit groups.

I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage donor and alumni information, including giving and engagement, as well as communications, including emails, newsletters, and event information/communications. Personally, I use RE to create emails and newsletters that go out to alumni and donors, as well as to research alumni, donors, and prospective donors for stories and communications I write.
  • Ease of use - it's easy to add to a constituent's information and to find what you're looking for.
  • Putting together emails and newsletters have a simple drag-and-drop format, making it easy for people to learn quickly how to build them out. It is also customizable, allowing me to incorporate brand standards without fuss.
  • I find pulling constituent lists to be complicated at first, but once you figure it out, it becomes easier.
  • The number of times RE goes out (stops performing) on regular days seems excessive.
  • RE needs to figure out how to manage larger loads when lots of organizations are fundraising on the same day. It gets slow and sometimes conks out all together, which is really difficult when you're trying to raise money.
  • There needs to be an improvement with constituent's names. If someone has a preferred name, I've noticed that RE takes the first letter of that preferred name and makes it the middle initial.
  • It's time to remove the Mr./Ms. titles from ALL records.
It's great for keeping track of our alumni and donors. The platform is pretty intuitive, allowing for minimal training before someone can begin using it without causing issues. We're able to see everything we need to know about our constituents on one page, including all communications, gifts, notes from coworkers, and their educational backgrounds. It is so helpful to have all of that in one place.

We use NXT as our CRM. It allows us to track our contacts and gifts from donors so that we are able to keep accurate records. It also holds all of our donor contact information, their affiliation information as well as main documents such as pledge forms, gift agreements, important correspondence, etc.
  • Contact tracking.
  • Gift Tracking.
  • Document tracking.
  • Task management.
  • Updates on necessary follow up.
  • Blackbaud occasionally goes down, rendering it useless for a few hours once every few weeks.
  • I'd prefer if there were more options to choose from when pulling lists.
  • I wish the task bar could be visible on the sides of the screen like google or outlook.
Blackbaud RE NXT is extremely useful as a donor-based CRM. It allows our team to track contacts, tasks, reminders, documents, and gifts in one place. It also allows us to pull lists and reports quickly to use in everyday work. A particularly useful tool is the reporting dashboard, where you can view progress toward goals such as meeting goals, fundraising goals, contact goals, etc.

We use RENXT for our fundraising department. We use it to manage the stewardship of our donor base and also to connect with our alumni. It provides one central hub for our department to place information about our constituents for everyone to share. Probably my favorite feature is the integration with Gmail so that I can save send emails between myself and our donors as actions on the donor's records in NXT quickly from my email. I love the quick reporting and list features. We also use it for creating donation check-out webpages.
  • Donation transaction webpage creation.
  • Donor stewardship tracking.
  • Quick filtering of donors into a variety of lists.
  • Gmail integration.
  • Mapping feature.
  • Still need to use database view often to change nitty gritty information.
  • Can't completely delete duplicate records in RENXT.
  • It would be nice if relationships were automatically reciprocated in NXT as it does in the database view.
The user needs to understand that RENXT is a fancy add-on to having the original Raisers Edge. You won't transition from having RE, but you can add RENXT as a tool for your team to utilize. It's web-based, so it's responsive from everywhere and incredibly user-friendly, so you can have unsavvy computer folks up and running and looking at donor information. If you are managing data, you will still live primarily in the database view of RE. If you're posting gifts, you'll still live in database RE. But for a quick phone number or data about a donor at your fingertips, RENXT is the way to go. I would consider us a small fundraising shop that has used prior fundraising software that was atrocious, so we are still so very happy with moving to Blackbaud. Bigger shops can get frustrated, but smaller ones are happier.

Raiser's Edge is the backbone of our development and alumni relations operations. It helps us to track donors, prospects, volunteers, and alumni in an efficient way. It is easy to use for users of all levels of technical skills but still powerful enough to solve high end more technical issues.
  • Track Donations.
  • Track engagement and prospect data.
  • Export and import to and from other applications.
  • Further enhancements of the NXT view query ability for more complicated lists.
  • Increased fields and filters in the Insight builder.
  • Easier integration through API or training of users from Blackbaud on that Aspecy.
It is a perfect solution for any size development shop. The NXT view is still best suited for fundraisers and alumni relations or event staff. The database view is still critical for the research, advancement services, and administration staff as all functionality is still not rolled out into the NXT view.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge as our donor database at my organization. I use both the database view of Raiser's Edge, as well as the web view of NXT. They serve different purposes for me. I prefer the database view for recording gifts, updating constituent information, and creating queries. NXT has served me well for creating reports and quick access to constituent records.
  • It's easy to create reports that are visually appealing.
  • It is easy to access on any device.
  • I don't love the way constituent records look on NXT; I find the database view much easier to digest. The records in NXT are too spread out visually, and although they provide the same information, it doesn't feel as easy to understand as the database view.
  • There are a lot of functions I simply do not use on NXT and it clogs up the interface.
I think Raiser's Edge NXT would be great if you had a team of people that needed access to constituent/giving information. It is cloud-based, so easily accessible with just a login. I also would recommend it for someone looking to create any sort of campaign report. I used it to compare our Fall Annual Appeal from one year to the next and the visuals were great and didn't require a lot of work to create. For gift processing and logging, I still think the database view is much easier to use.

We utilize RE NXT for all our donor database needs, including reporting, data collection, and data entry. We are a smaller organization and use it at a smaller capacity.
  • Data Entry.
  • Reporting
  • Data Collection.
  • Reporting functionalities - Needs to be more robust.
  • Duplicates - It creates duplicates often.
  • Tagging - I wish there was a tagging feature.
I think RE NXT is more suited for larger organizations. I don't think it is the best fit for a smaller organization that doesn't have a ton of data. It is better for those who don't need to manipulate their reports in massive ways.

We have complicated needs. We are a nonprofit and manage donations and a donor database as well as needing to create a member database that allows us to print a membership directory. Additionally, we have a seasonal summer music program, and we collect tuition from those students, which RENXT helps us manage. While there may be many more user-friendly donor databases, if we moved to one of those options, we would lose the ability to also manage our member database. RENXT allows us to have one software that can be customized for our needs.
  • Customizable email acknowledgements with photos and logos.
  • East report builder for 30,000 foot view of fundraising.
  • Built in data cleaning for addresses.
  • Online training catalog.
  • Instant email receipts that can be customized depending on gift.
  • Add logo to receipts.
  • Allow statements using all payment options including (other).
  • Merging statements for soft credits (spouses) for year-end.
I don't have experience with other donor databases but certain options are only available from the database side and not RENXT, for example, soft credits. Certain specific queries can only be run from the database side, which is clunky and can be challenging to use. There are so many things that are customizable in RENXT for your organization, it can be challenging to really utilize some things without the need for a consultant, which is costly, especially if your staff is small and only a few people know how to use the system. Replacing those individuals takes extra training time.

I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to track donors and gifts and to acknowledge the same. I use it to query info for evaluation and reports. I am learning other tools that can make our processes more efficient, such as creating and managing our events from start to finish inside the program. I'm hoping to get buy-in for using dashboards for internal short-term use reports to save time, paper, ink, and the planet. I've also pitched the integration of Double to Donation to capture the matching gifts we are likely missing at this time. I really like how easy it is to see duplicates and that it gives us the power to decide before just merging based on points of duplication. This allows us to confirm and follow up on the differences to confirm which are correct or which are updates we should mark and date or annotate in some way.
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is great with de-duplication and notifying of possible duplicates before you complete a new record. It also helps when adding relationships so that you use an already created record rather than creating a duplicate.
  • By adding "aliases" and "preferred names," Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT helps to find people even when you only have a nickname to search on.
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is really great at allowing one to set up defaults in a batch that happens to have gifts with common information. This makes batch entry really quick. Even if the entire batch doesn't have the same info in common I am able to save the group items with common info for the end and reset the defaults to bring up the tail end of the batch, again, making entry faster and easier.
  • It would be helpful to be able to edit the batch name and description even after validation and submission in case of misspellings and the like, but I assume this is for accounting purposes.
  • I'm finding creating letters a challenge, but I started just after the major change from Microsoft due to security issues, so I have to go through a lot of steps to create letters.
  • Probably a top priority would be to make it easier to save outside of the cloud to my own folders on my computer, as there is no access once saved to the system. Or, there could be a way to access the system where things are saved!
I believe that managing an event would be a perfect scenario for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. If we start invites in there, track your RSVPs there, then we can print check-in sheets and name tags from there. If the Development Director puts in their goals we can create a dashboard item that shows progress on goal! I love that Development Director can also make notes in the event for each donor they call leaving no need to go back and add their notes from handwritten notes to the donor records!

To meet our up-to-the-minute communications and online fundraising needs, we regularly employ the eblast marketing tool and donations form. I am impressed with the metrics and tracking capabilities of Raisers Edge, both for engagement in our messaging and funds raised through our online forms. With a goal to engage with half of our donor family through online newsletters and increase online giving by 10%, we have been able to reach larger numbers of our donors through Online Express. We have struggled, however, to get our questions answered regarding list management, and I feel the limited graphics capabilities of the email marketing tool are wonky compared with other eblast tools on the market. In my experience, customer service has regularly attempted to sell us new products rather than address the challenges we are facing. Overall, I would give your product an average score, and will gladly change my grade when I see better service behind your products.
  • provide valuable measures of our outreach
  • link email addresses to open and clickthrough rates
  • more streamlined access to customer support for Raisers Edge
  • decision NOT to market new products to dissatisfied customers
  • better graphics capabilities in the email marketing tool
  • simpler list management process
The fundraising tool is smooth, and our donors are contacted immediately when they donate. Because of the issues in my experience, we have consistently had with list management, email marketing, and overall customer service, I would not recommend your products highly at this time. We have had entire email blasts drop spontaneously from the server and disappear into cyberspace. We have struggled with the tedious process of list selection with every blast we distribute. The limited font choices and seeming inability of the software to handle multiple fonts within a text block remain frustrating.

  • To search donors for contact info.
  • To create lists for email blasts or invitation lists.

  • User friendly
  • Filters easily
  • More automations
  • More communications with other services
  • platform to manage alumni where I wont go over on my constituent cap
For my job when running lists for invitations or searching for donor info, it is well suited. I do wish that there could be more automation between my other programs where specific actions trigger another action. I also cannot add many of my Alumni contacts into the database to manage because of the cap on constituents, there could be an improvement on this.

My organization used Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for two years. We used this as our donor database. Previously my organization had used eTapestry, another Blackbaud product. Our Blackbaud consultant recommended the upgrade to Raiser's Edge NXT. We were told that the additional features in NXT would greatly benefit our organization. While there were a few upgrades that I did find useful such as the list option, advances in tracking emails and online donation form tracking, the cost was not worth the few extra things we used. I do believe for a very large organization this product might be a good fit, but for us it did not deliver on what we had been promised. My organization ended up going back to using eTap.
  • Tracking of email interactions
  • Being able to assign a fundraiser to constituents
  • Customer service for questions about the system
  • Queries
  • Data base view is not very user friendly
In my opinion, NXT was not an upgrade my organization needed. The additional cost from eTap was not justified. The web view is very user friendly and had some great features. The ability to track email interactions we very useful. Also the ability to see how many people had visited specific donation landing pages and how many of those people gave was a useful tool to have. Our troubles started in the very beginning. The implantation process was not smooth. In my experience, many things that the Blackbaud team should have taken care of we had to do ourselves. We were not able to process credit cards for over a month when the new system went live. We also had an issue with our reoccurring monthly card donations were not transferred over to the new database, even after the original card processing issue was taken care of. We sent multiple emails to different people to get this fixed and finally I had to call all of our donors and get their information again because we weren't able to process the donations. We also had issues getting our receipts to generate in the data base view. I had 2 shared screen calls with our Blackbaud consultant and still took over a month to get things set up. We have not changed back to eTap and I am very happy to be done with NXT. The few things I did like were not enough for the price difference.

It is our CRM. I enter all gifts in the database, use it to acknowledge and develop prospect lists and mailing lists. Raiser's Edge is our main database for fundraising and donor management. We use it to pull reports for fiscal and calendar year and send mail outs for fundraising campaigns as well as online campaigns. It holds all of our donor information
  • Reports of all kinds
  • Mailing labels, spreadsheets
  • Lybunt
  • Downloading online gifts from Blackbaud merchant services , all infor is not included and takes some manual labor
  • Acknowledgement letters can no longer be run out of blackbaud! Huge inconvenience
  • Easily creates duplicates
Well suited to build a database for infrastructure to begin reaching out to donor and to continuously reach out to donor with donor information at your fingertips. Raisers edge is well suited for higher education with medium to large size donor data base. It may not be suitable for organizations with small database

We implemented Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT in 2021, after using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge for many years. We didn't implement it in order to address any business problems-- it is something Blackbaud is pushing all organizations to, and it was inevitable that we had to transition at some point. It did transition us to a cloud-based database, which increases gift officer's ability to access it remotely, but has also led to constant issues when Blackbaud's servers are down for hours/whole days.
  • More aesthetically pleasing for some people
  • Customizable layout
  • NXT Ratings are helpful
  • Past due actions are easier to flag/see
  • Gift entry is missing key functionality (pledges, tributes)
  • Searching for records has limited functionality compared to database view
  • In my opinion, lists have limited functionality- 99% of the time I need to log back into database view and make a query
  • Report builder/Insights is not intuitive at all
  • Most reporting/data processes can't be done effectively in NXT
  • You have to deactivate and restart some workflows regularly since you can't put the same workflow on a constituent more than once.
As someone who works on the backend of Raiser's Edge, in my experience, NXT is not useful to me at all. The only people I would recommend it to are frontline fundraisers, who only need to see summarized information and don't need as much functionality. It is also frustrating that Blackbaud has been promising for years that the functionality was being built out, but it seems quite slow to actually happen.
